## What is Metronome Pro?

Set your tempo, record your practice and listen back before the next attempt. Keep a history of your sessions on piano, guitar, drums or another instrument.

METRONOME & PRACTICE
• Set a tempo from 20 to 480 BPM, time signatures, note values and accents.
• Choose SoundFont presets and save your usual tempos.
• Start free practice or practice a piece, then review your sessions and time spent.
• View metronome status with Live Activity and Dynamic Island.

RECORD & REPLAY
• Recording is off by default and starts only when you enable it.
• Replay your performance and metronome on one timeline. Adjust or mute the metronome track separately.
• Run Timing Analysis on demand for early, late and consistency feedback to help choose a passage to revisit.
• Audio recordings stay on this device. Practice history can sync through iCloud across the two Metronome apps.

SHEET MUSIC & RHYTHM
• Browse pieces and open available PDF scores.
• Practice with imported or linked MIDI notation and loops based on measures, beats and subdivisions.
• Rhythm Master offers short exercises for steady beats, melody rhythms and internal pulse. Music needs an initial download; downloaded music works offline.

APPLE WATCH & PURCHASE
Pro supports Apple Watch and includes full sheet music library access. The current version is a one-time purchase with no additional subscription or in-app purchase. Legacy in-app purchases remain only for users of older 1.1.x versions.

*2025-01-25, version 1.1.2*

**Developer response:** Thanks

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-04-16*

No way to change the time signature or note value. Tried to find information in help. Nothing. Don't buy.

**Developer response:** Press the "4/4" icon at topleft, then you can change it.

**Developer response:**

### 4/5 — Good but needs separate volume control

*2023-09-05*

I wish I could adjust the volume of this. Sometimes I'm playing along with guitar software and I cannot adjust this in relationship to the guitar volume.

*2023-08-18*

### 1/5 — Terrible waste of money.

*2023-07-18*

Terrible waste of money.

I downloaded this thing and cannot change the tempo at all. It should not be this hard to use this thing.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback again. Version 1.1.3 has fixed this bug.

-------------

Dear friend, I am very sorry to bring you an imperfect experience.
I found that there is indeed such a defect, which is caused by the window below. At present, there is a temporary solution, which is to reduce the window height of Metronome App to expose the adjustment switch.
I will fix this bug as soon as possible. Thanks again for your feedback

**Developer response:**

### 5/5 — watch

**Developer response:**

• Compare your timing across practice sessions and see your progress more clearly.
• Find recurring timing issues and jump straight into loop practice for the relevant passage.
• Tap a flagged passage to quickly find it in your recording and listen back.
• Bug fixes and improvements to stability and usability.

### 1.6.3 — 2026-10-06

AI Practice Coach now offers on-demand reviews of a session, today, a piece, or the current week. It uses your existing practice data to summarize patterns, identify a focus area, and suggest one next step.

Reviews can be reopened quickly and refresh when practice evidence changes. Practice goals, streaks, and timing results remain based on recorded facts.

### 1.6.2 — 2026-09-30

Daily Goal now shows Estimated Effective Time alongside your total practice time. It uses recording activity analysis as an estimate and does not change goal completion. We also refined navigation to the Practice leaderboards.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-09-28

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-26

Timing Analysis is here for Practice recordings. Open a recorded Practice Session and run an on-demand analysis to see whether you tend to play early, on the beat, or late, how steady your timing is, and which passages may be worth revisiting. When the recording does not provide enough reliable evidence, the app shows a neutral result.
