No feedback option in app either ### 2/5 — Take to long to work *2026-03-22, version 4.0.6* Wtf Is this it’s ### 2/5 — Dutch the colour palette *2025-12-03, version 4.0.4* This was a useful and convenient app until some muppet decided to colour code the lines as well as the status. Now you have lines coloured red when their status is green, and lines coloured green when their status might be black. Ditch the line colours and go back to having the lines in alpha order. If people can figure out how to download the app in the first place they can certainly figure out which line they travel on. ### 2/5 — Why did they change it? *2025-11-24, version 4.0.2* I don’t know why they changed it? All the features that I liked, they got rid of. I used to be able to save my route, the station where I get on, and the station where I get off. Now it gives me departing time for irrelevant lines. Also, the train departing times used to be accurate, now they are consistently several minutes out. ### 2/5 — Recent update is awful *2025-11-20, version 4.0.2* Recently this app underwent an update. You can no longer filter by destination on a line. So you see every departure for multiple train lines that depart from the same platform. An ‘improvement’ that has made the app less user friendly. ### 2/5 — Don’t show me pointless information *2025-11-13* The updated design looks great, however if travelling from Caulfield on the Pakenham line (beyond Dandenong), showing me Cranbourne trains is no use to me. I also frequently use the Craigeburn line from Flinders Street, however now I am shown Sunbury and Upfield departures. In addition, whenever I click back on my favourite station of Flinders Street (to use a Craigeburn train) the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines come up, and I have to change back to the Northern Group lines to show Craigeburn trains. Please fix this so I only see the lines needed. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-07-29, version 3.1.0* Doesn’t reflect delays or trains on time. Also differs from the PTV App ### 1/5 — Poor notifications *2025-07-14, version 3.1.0* The app has sent me over 30 notifications today advising the train line has buses replacing it. Every few hours I get two notifications. Who needs to see that 30 times!!!?? ### 1/5 — Annoying amount of notifications *2025-04-06, version 3.1.0* Would be great to have an option to mute notifications on days you aren’t travelling, or at least reduce the frequency of notifications when something happens, it’s really annoying to receive 20+ notifications in the span of a few hours with the same information. Or at least an option to opt out of receiving more notifications about the same thing. I can’t keep notifications on for this app because of how many notifications it sends which kind of defeats its purpose ### 2/5 — Majorly delayed updates *2025-01-13, version 3.1.0* Good app in concept. Except the main reason this exists is to update commuters about service updates and delays (which happens way too often on PTV). However, the service updates are always at least 15 minutes late, which is extremely unhelpful. ### 1/5 — Much to be desired *2024-07-21, version 3.1.0* The app used to be nice and simple. Now it has too many colour icons. You just need red, orange, yellow and black. No need for “travel alert” and “service change” to be two seperate colours - consolidate them. Secondly, NOBODY CARES ABOUT LIFT ACCESS OR CARPARK CHANGES MESSAGES. They take up prime real estate on the home page of the app, there needs to be a way to dismiss them. Most commuters only care if their train line is disrupted. ### 1/5 — App updates *2024-05-04, version 3.0.8* I have this app so I can keep track of times and the state of various lines. I’d set up a couple of regular journeys on the My Trip page but when the app updated those journeys were just… deleted. Not going to bother setting more up if this is what’s going to happen every time. ### 3/5 — Good ap but could be better *2024-04-23, version 3.0.8* I’m a regular train user but not a daily one. As such I receive notifications every morning, when I wish to only receive them on the days I travel. It would be great to be able to nominate one or more windows of time to receive updates on the days that I want them rather than every weekday. ### 3/5 — A way to mute when not travelling *2024-04-15* I find this app super helpful, I live close to two separate train lines so it’s great to know what is happening when I have to get somewhere. However, when I’m not travelling I’d love a temporary mute function as the constant updates get too much when I don’t have to travel (honestly there can be 30+ notifications when something is going down). Or a way to say “yes, I acknowledge this problem, thanks, I don’t need more notifications today”. It’s great to be informed, but there isn’t a way to control the info once it’s starts coming through. ### 1/5 — Even in your own screenshot of the app *2024-04-01* App has worsened in features over time. Can no longer see time, signal strength or battery when app is open. See screenshots of the app on App Store. Also, when a route with multiple lines was selected there was the option to see all possible services to get you to your destination. Now everything has to be separated by line so you need two or three windows to see your route. Combine this with the Flinders St lift closures showing on the main screen, and not being collapsible, it makes the app pretty much useless as you have to scroll to see what used to be glanceable information. PTV app summary screen is more useful than this, only keep it for the push notifications about delays. ### 1/5 — Spammy notifications *2024-02-14, version 3.0.4* Sends 100 notifications about the same issue. This app is for you. What was once a simple and helpful app showing just enough for a quick view of when the next few services were running is now over complicated with more clicks needed to show less information. Who needs actual trains when you have this app? I’m writing this review at Flinders St station. My train was cancelled but the app says service on my line is good. The station announcer says service is good and not to fall off the platform. How AWESOME is that!?!? The other day I was woken up by app to tell me that everything was completely normal (i.e. AWESOME). I rocked up at my station - no trains anywhere in Melbourne at all, whatsoever. I showed the app to “customer service” guy on the station. He didn’t say anything but I could see he though it was AWESOME too. This app sure puts paid to those ridiculous 20th century notions of service delivery. I can’t wait to get back to parliament station to listen to the giant screens yelling at me to buy insurance and not to fall off the platform. ### 5/5 — Pretty cool *2014-03-06* Even though I don't use this I think y'all's other game is cool so u no keep it up I guess? I get an update every morning for my line and get “Notified” (get it) of delays. This isn’t a journey planner. If you want that, get the PTV app or Citymapper.
