Too bad the developer checked out, I see literally nothing has changed. ### 3/5 — Won’t update photo library. *2025-03-25, version 2.9.2* The app won’t recognize any photos I’ve imported from my PC. Every other photo app I have has no issues but this just doesn’t see them even though they’re JPEG’s. There doesn’t appear to be a perfect app out there. One of my favorite apps Distressed FX is a great app, but it downsizes your image to one megabyte. Too bad no apps are developed as time goes by to be almost perfect. I guess there not enough profit to do so. Guess I’ll have to put all my overlays and birds in Adobe cloud and access thru PS for mobile. I gave this three stars for its use with photos it can recognize. ### 2/5 — What happened? *2024-11-11, version 2.9.2* This was such a good app and my favourite to create pictures with a lot of mood. Unfortunately I’ve had to delete it along with all of my saved “mixtures” as it just wouldn’t save. Disappointed 😟 ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2024-10-26, version 2.9.2* Seriously disappointed in the app. It used to be one of the best!!! Now it doesn’t even open after reinstalling several times. ### 2/5 — Abandoned-Ware *2024-10-17, version 2.9.2* Sadly, this could-have-been-great app has had no update for over a year, and no real meaningful additions to the app, such as editing in landscape mode, or texture offerings before that. Too bad … ### 4/5 — Fantastic features but *2024-10-05, version 2.9.2* An annoyance is that there is apparently no back button. So once you select a texture or formula you have to cancel and start over, finding your image again AND canceling the crop again (another annoyance… can that be turned off as an option please as well!?). And it would be absolutely fantastic if I could make my own textures! OMG that would be the freakin bomb. Overall though, so fantastic for the price. I’m using this thing all the time. I might as well suggest a blur effect as well (gaussian, zoom, motion, etc.) as I tend to want a slight blur to any of the images I add filters to. Give me and take my money!!! (If ya know, it’s just an extra $2-3). ### 2/5 — No longer works *2024-09-10, version 2.9.2* As of Sept. 2024, Mextures doesn’t work for me. The app loads but I can’t access photos or edit anything. Please update! *2024-06-11, version 2.9.2* I absolutely loved this app, especially because it offered a huge selection of unique & different filters/looks that you couldn’t find anywhere else & also a wide range of editing abilities! This was my go to app for photo editing when using my phone for photography- which is more often that not. I also love the fact that you can create your own filters. For some time now though the app won’t load further than the front page, it won’t let me open photos of go any further to edit anything. Please please do an update to fix this! I’m not even able to screenshot a photo edit because the app shuts down and freezes. This is very unfortunate because it has the most emotive and dramatic filters. I love them! PLEASE work out the bugs on this ### 2/5 — Great but impossible to use *2024-02-19, version 2.9.2* I’ve been using this app for about 5 years. It is insanely amazing at editing. But it’s extremely unfortunate that I cannot use it. With every single update it’s gotten worse, now it doesn’t work at all or even open up on my iPhone 14. I need to boot up my old iPhone XS and use it on there (which the app is still very slow and glitchy, but at least works.. eventually) such an absolute bummer that it offers such amazing edits yet within 5 years the creators can’t figure out how to get this app to work properly so we can actually use it. Another app similar is like 13.99 a week…. A WEEK. While you CAN do all this stuff for free on a computer it’s nice knowing there’s a neat backup for quick effects right here. Make great apps free. Extend them with decent quality content and that’s the perfect modern model.
