## What is MFC Companion?

MFC Companion is the free companion app for Moran Fleet Control (MFC), a workspace for chat, agents, projects, files, marketing and oversight of your own systems.

Setup: open "Mobile" in the MFC dashboard, scan the QR code with your phone. No account, nothing to type – if the server requires an access token, it travels inside the QR code automatically. If you'd rather not use the camera, enter the code and secret by hand instead.

Without your own server: a "View demo" button next to "Scan" shows the full feature set with real dashboard screens and its own sample QR code to try the pairing flow — entirely offline.

Once paired, the app shows the complete web dashboard of your own server – the same pages as on desktop: Start overview, Chat & Agents, Tasks & Time, Files & Documents, Communication & Marketing, Oversight & Account, and the advanced technical pages. The phone's back button navigates within the page instead of leaving the app, pull-to-refresh reloads, pinch-to-zoom works. On tablets and in landscape the app uses the extra width for a two-column layout; docked to a monitor (e.g. Samsung DeX) it runs full-screen.

Security-relevant events – connection restored, device revoked – appear as a notification, even while the app runs in the background. An optional dictation tool turns speech into text using a model that runs locally on the device; the recording never leaves the phone.

You need your own, running MFC server (self-hosted). Pairing uses the same secured path as the web version: an encrypted connection, a login token, a device fingerprint – revocable at any time from the dashboard. MFC Companion itself collects no data and shows no ads; everything the app transmits goes only to your own, self-operated server.
