As a commissioner, you couldn’t ask for more. MFL has all the resources to be a great platform and even a competitor to Sleeper. The problem is, their app is extremely clunky, outdated, and not user friendly. What makes the Sleeper app so good is its simplicity in the user interface. Although Sleeper is the more popular option these days, it’s still lacking something to truly be a top notch fantasy app. If MFL can put more effort towards their mobile app, I can see them getting many more users their way. But until then, if you aren’t a fan of being frustrated with your football fantasy app, then I would suggest going with another platform. ### 3/5 — OK But Has Issues *2024-12-02, version 2024.3.4* Constantly makes me login when going to scoring details even though remember me I checked. ### 4/5 — Perfect mobile companion for MFL *2024-11-10, version 2024.3.4* This is a solid mobile app for managing your team(s) on MFL. You can use it to manage multiple teams in different leagues. I’ve been using MFL for over 15 years and this app for at least 8 years. It is my game day companions allowing me to make last minute lineup changes and monitoring live scoring. ### 1/5 — What a failure this year *2024-09-20, version 2024.3.2* We have had a league for 20 years not kidding. We were one of the first. We are leaving the app next year and just struggling through this season, unfortunately. Whoever decided to hide what players we are playing on matchups is an absolute moron. Do not use this app. Do not use this app or platform! Bye ### 1/5 — App regression? *2024-09-10, version 2024.3.1* How the this app go backwards from last year or lose support for iPad use? Can no longer click and view players from the live scoreboard to see their history or news for your own team or other teams. Can’t see your line up projected total when trying set a line up. Can’t click and view a player when making a add/drop or trade anymore. What was the point of taking all of that away? ### 3/5 — Can’t open player page via “Scores” *2024-09-09, version 2024.3.1* This has always been my favorite MFL app, but for some reason I can’t open a player’s individual page from the scores section anymore. I can only open it via “Rosters”. Any way this could get fixed? ### 1/5 — Easily the worst fantasy app *2024-09-05, version 2024.3.0* All rosters are in one long list you have to scroll through. The app never gets updated. If you use any other app you’ll see how much worse this is right away ### 1/5 — Sensitive player links *2024-08-18, version 2024.2.9* I don’t know what’s changed but I cannot scroll through “rosters” without inadvertently clicking a players individual page. Used to be able to scroll down the list of rosters without this issue. Link to players should be over the players name only, not the far right of the screen that I would scroll at. Used to be able to skip right to certain teams too but that’s gone away in favor of this extended player page link. It’s so annoying ### 2/5 — Poor UX *2024-08-05, version 2024.2.8* The customizability is good as my dynasty league has a lot of unique things. The interface is horrible, and somehow getting worse. There’s a pretty standard method of lineup setting used by the fantasy community that MFL deviates from for no real reason. Scrolling other teams’ rosters is painful because it’s a continuous scroll. You can’t jump to a specific team. Push Notifications are hours and sometimes days behind for transactions so it’s not even worth having them turned on. That’s his natural position but he’s listed as QB only ### 1/5 — Bare Bones App Now With Ads! *2024-07-23, version 2024.2.5* This app already was missing a lot of the features that were on the desktop site. But the latest update changed the UI and made it harder to navigate teams. And now there’s ads! I don’t want to be accidentally clicking links for online slots when trying to set my lineup. ### 2/5 — Update to UI is… *2024-07-22* Navigation of the app is fine. Visually, this update to the UI has smaller font and pictures without adding anything to the screen, just a bunch of blank space on the screen. Weird spacing. Player stats are all spaced out and you have to scroll across charts to see stats. Just looks ugly, like an excel spreadsheet app for fantasy football. Everything looked slightly better on the old version of the app. This update doesn’t seem to improve anything visually. As others have said, if your league wasn’t already running on this app for years, there would be no reason to choose mfl over other platforms currently. ### 1/5 — Disfunctional at best *2023-12-20, version 2023.1.16* Do you developers even use this app? There are so many short comings of this app it’s almost not usable. In an age where there is so much competition, why are you failing to even try? If we weren’t on this platform for years now, I’d never even consider this platform for fantasy football. ### 1/5 — Shuts down *2023-11-29, version 2023.1.15* Every time I open the app and go to the scores or standings, it shuts down instantly. Even the support option in the App Store leads to a defunct website. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Lazy developers, Lack of effort *2026-03-17* MFL is great if you like having IDP leagues or leagues with custom rules. If it was a free site I would say that this is the best site out there for fantasy football. However it is not. For being $90 a year per league it is ridiculous the lack of effort and care that is put into details of the app. For example it takes them years to upload player profile photos, you have to manually update the league records in dynasty leagues as they almost always glitch and give the wrong league champions, the winning percentage is very touchy and that is just a few examples. Again I would understand if it was free but you are telling me for 90/yr you can’t have someone take a few hours every year to update all the player profiles? Much rather use a free site like Fleaflicker or Sleeper. **Developer response:** Hi, just wanted to clarify you're leaving a review for a third-party developer, not MFL. My app is free and I don't receive any part of the league fees. One part I do control is what images you see in the app, and it is truly something I'd like to improve. Unfortunately every time I research it I see no options available that don't involve tens of thousands of dollars to license the images from the NFL. They have a tight leash on their intellectual property and so I'm showing the same headshots you find at MFL. I can't speak for the folks at MFL but perhaps they are also dealing with difficult licensing issues there. Vastly superior when you need to access leagues on a phone, but nice on my tablet as well. Also handles multiple MFL accounts, which is cumbersome on the MFL site. Also, the developer is super responsive if you need help. ### 5/5 — This app is wonderful, I can’t do my league without this valuable resource. *2026-01-05* Plus, the draft button is a beer mug. I mean, come on. That’s brilliant. Let’s face it, MFL website isn’t the best, most user friendly UI. This app allows you to do all the vital core functions easily. One suggestion I have is a function to view your league by division in the standings. I’d add something to the header so it would be like < Standings > (or just one way cycling whatever) and you tap the arrow and you can go through each division. Add a settings toggle or better yet add a gear to tap on the standings window for a toggle to save the division view as default. Boom! ### 5/5 — Don’t Use This Site For a Redraft *2025-09-02* If you are, then you are stupid. Period. They don’t exist to cater to the billion redrafts out there that are frankly about buying lottery tickets, 1 out of every 12 of them win. If you ever want a challenge, however, I would suggest joining/starting a salary cap dynasty league and you will not find a service other than MFL that can support it. Go to yahoo for your redrafts. Better yet, the 7-11 and buy a pick 5. If you want to actually play fantasy, however, then play salary cap dynasty. In my eyes it outperforms every other Fantasy Football app out there. From drafting, to player news, search and stats, to every day use. It is simple straightforward and intuitive. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, they improved the process to move from last year to this year in intra-league.
