An heißen oder kalten Tagen das Auto auf die gewünschte Temperatur vor zu Klematisieren empfinde ich schon als Luxuriös, ich persönlich würde es begrüßen wenn es ein Update gäbe bei dem man einstellen kann das die eingestellten Settings im Auto so bleiben und ich nicht bei jedem Fahrzeugstart neu Eco einstellen muss, denn man wird sich schon was dabei gedacht haben wenn man es jedes Mal wieder einstellt. 

WICHTIG: An alle die es nicht wussten, wenn man oben rechts auf das Häuschen mit dem Auto drückt und dann auf das Autobild unter Fahrzeugmanagement, dann kann man sich den Kilometerstand anzeigen lassen ohne extra zum Auto zu gehen (dieser braucht manchmal ein bisschen zum aktualisieren) die Funktion besteht ist allerdings eher versteckt, ich denke die App ist schon fortgeschritten zum Vergleich wie sie am Anfang war, sie stürzt auch nicht mehr ganz so häufig ab, (beziehungsweise der Token ist verfallen und man muss sich neu anmelden) aber die App ist noch verbesserungsfähig.

Aber Rom wurde auch nicht an einem Tag erbaut daher möchte ich nicht Zuviel meckern, und besser hinkriegen könnte ich es selbst nicht.

Sicherer Verbindubgsaufbau meistens möglich, außer das Auto schlief zu lange. Was ich aber vermisse ist eine Anzeige der aktuellen Kilometer. Abrufbar sind sie ja, wie die Leasing App zeigt. Warum nicht auch hier? Und warum kann ich nur zwei Mitbenutzer anlegen in der App?

L’application est dans l’ensemble correct et fonctionne relativement bien, cependant elle manque à mon sens de quelques fonctionnalités (Odomètre du véhicule/ statistiques lors des trajets précédents / consommation / la possibilité de voir si les fenêtres sont ouverte ou fermé (MG4) / Des réglages plus avancée pour les fonctions de chauffage/climatisation / indicateur de maintenance… En bref l’application mériterait d’être un peu plus complète au niveau de la remontée d’information des différents calculateurs… 
L’esthétique de celle ci pourrait à mon sens également être modernisé.
Et dernier point (je rêve beaucoup) la possibilité « Enfin » de pouvoir mettre à jour notre système d’infodivertissement à distance pourquoi pas via l’application (en Bluetooth??)

Fantastic display and easy to use application, give you pretty much the basics of what you need, as with some previous reviews there is a bit more that could be done to make it better, only issue I’m finding now is I keep getting kicked out of the app for ‘being logged in on another device’ which seems to be a common issue. Other than that great work and support from the creators

The MG IM5 is a fantastic EV, but the iSMART app currently only shows the WLTP range. This is frustrating as the car itself is set to DFRE (Dynamic Range) for accuracy. Please add an option to the app settings to show the DFRE range so the phone matches the dashboard! It would make the app 5 stars for me. Would also be good to be able to check the AVR camera feeds remotely through the app like similar vehicles. 

Also, a note on app speed. Coming from a Stellantis car previously, it’s great to see how responsive it is and how quickly it sends commands and sees vehicle status.

L’application fonctionne bien. J’ai quelques bugs de mise à jour par moment (le pourcentage de charge ou la géolocalisation du véhicule ne se met pas à jour).
Ce serait très apprécié de pouvoir avoir des widgets sur l’ouverture du véhicule, état de charge et géolocalisation du véhicule.

Having had a bmw and enjoyed the bmw car app previously, I was worried after reading the reviews for iSMART. I’ve actually found it pretty useful and to work well. The only snag is the commonly reported connection issue which causes commands to show ‘failed’ a lot. I believe this is due to a weak signal to the car which I also often had with the bmw at my home address.

Die App ist soweit gut übersichtlich, aber mit vielen kleinen und großen Krankheiten! Die Verbindung zum Auto funktioniert nicht immer, meistens wird auch die KM Reichweite nicht angezeigt. Keine geplante zeitliche Klimatisierung möglich. Die Heizung geht nur für 10 Minuten an und schaltet sich aus, obwohl die gewünschte Innentemperatur noch nicht erreicht ist! Eine Funktion für öffnen der Heckklappe wäre wäre auch wünschenswert.

Alors, pour avoir connu la 1ere version et maintenant celle-ci, beaucoup de progrès ont été fait. Enfin nous pouvons changer la capacité de charge, entre santé de la batterie et longs voyages. Manque plus qu’à retrouver l’option chauffage du volant à côté du chauffage sièges et ce sera 4.5*. Il manque tout de même de pouvoir régler la puissance de charge avec cette application.

Application qui propose un panel de fonctionnalités très appréciables climatisation, chauffage, démarrage sans clé et à distance pour les 2 premiers… des informations essentielles sur le statut véhicule … fonction de géolocalisation efficace.
Cependant l’ergonomie n’est pas le point fort de l’application les quelques erreurs de traduction renforcent cette impression.
Des fonctionnalités complémentaires comme par exemple le multi-usage avec des mémorisations des réglages pour chaque conducteur, un odomètre complet, le contrôle à distance des vitres électriques,  … rendraient l’application vraiment… SMART. Par contre un gros point négatif déjà souligné auparavant MG par respect pour vos clients ultramarins veuillez activer la fonctionnalité NAVIGATION GPS pour nos territoires comme c’est le cas pour les clients du continent !😡

Von der Übersicht her finde ich die App sehr gut. 
Nur wird oft nicht angezeigt wie schnell geladen wird und wie lange der Ladevorgang noch dauert, genauso die komplette Reichweite. 
Die Verbindung wird auch oft nicht hergestellt. 
Muss noch verbessert werden.

Seitdem ich einen MG Auto besitze, hat sich die App deutlich verbessert. Allerdings hängt sie sich gelegentlich auf oder findet immer noch keine Verbindung zum Fahrzeug. Was jedoch absolut wünschenswert – und meiner Meinung nach ein No-Go ist, dass es bisher fehlt – wäre eine Zeitsteuerung, um Heizung bzw. Klimaanlage automatisch starten zu können.

Außerdem ist es schade, dass die App nur von einem Benutzer vollständig genutzt werden kann. In den meisten Familien werden Fahrzeuge von zwei Personen gefahren. Deshalb bitte Support für mehrere Anmeldungen oder die Möglichkeit, die App mit vollen Rechten an einen zweiten Nutzer zu übertragen.

Ich fahre den MG 4 seit zwei Jahren. Seitdem ärgere ich mich immer wieder über diese unzuverlässige App. Es ist mir eigentlich ziemlich egal wie sie aussieht, es geht um die Funktion. Leider habe ich ständig Probleme, dass die App sich mit dem Auto verbindet. Dann nützt mir auch keine App etwas, egal wie gut, schlecht oder sinnvoll sie aufgebaut ist. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass diese App irgendwann mal zuverlässig funktioniert, solange ich den MG noch fahre.  Beim letzten Update hat es einige sinnvolle Änderungen gegeben -leider kann man immer noch nicht den Kilometerstand abrufen - deshalb gibt es jetzt einen Stern mehr, insgesamt also 2.

Eines vorweg: die Übersichtlichkeit der App hat sich erheblich verbessert. Viele Informationen bekommt man schon auf dem Homescreen. Sehr gut! Die Lade Funktionen verstecken sich allerdings sehr klein unten unter EV Management. Das sollte schon weiter oben und präsenter sein. Und: In der Nähe des Autos, also mit Bluetooth, funktioniert die Verbindung. Ohne Bluetooth, also über das Internet, muss man die App immer wieder aktualisieren und das ist ein bisschen wie Lotto spielen. Mal geht es und mal geht es nicht. Nach ein paar Tagen Standzeit geht das Auto offenbar in den Tiefschlaf. Und dann kann ich die Verbindung komplett vergessen. Bitte dringend nachbessern!

La nouvelle mise a jour est top. Plein de fonction en plus permettant le degivrage, le chauffage. 
Pour moi qui est des panneaux, le top serait de pouvoir modifier via l'application l'amperage de recharge.

The app has kicked me out and says my email isn’t registered. It was until the new app update. I’ve now had to re-register with my email address again which was registered but no longer ! I have to wait 72 hours to bind the car to the app again. Went to bind the car but it tells me the car is already bound to another account which is me of course as I’ve had the car from new!

App connected to the car and recognises where the car is parked via the GPS tracker, but the battery charge percentage is stuck at 76% on the app even though I have driven it to under 20% and recharged it to over 80% in the few weeks I’ve owned the car. Not able to switch anything on or off remotely. Not able to turn on or off climate control. Not able to set charge percentage. Not able to tell the car to start or stop charging. Not able to lock or unlock car via app. Basically just a car tracker at this point if I ever forget where I’ve parked the car.

Absolutely terrible app for such an expensive car. The whole experience feels unfinished and unreliable. Half of the time the app cannot connect to the vehicle, remote commands fail randomly, and basic functions like checking vehicle status or controlling the car remotely often stop working completely after a few minutes.

The interface looks modern, but underneath it is full of bugs, delays, server errors and constant connection problems. Sometimes the car appears offline for hours for no reason. Adding users, remote lock/unlock, climate control and status updates are painfully inconsistent.

What makes it even worse is the complete lack of support. There is practically no response from customer service, and when owners report problems, they are ignored or left waiting without any real solution. For an app connected to such an expensive vehicle, this level of support is unacceptable.

In 2026 there is simply no excuse for software this unreliable. Other manufacturers offer stable and responsive apps, while MG iSMART feels like an unfinished beta test. Owner forums and app reviews are full of people reporting the exact same issues: failed remote commands, cars randomly going offline, server connection problems and app crashes.

Honestly one of the worst car companion apps I have ever used. The car itself may be good, but the app seriously damages the ownership experience.

The app is missing a lot of basic features I would expect from a brand new 2025 car. For example, after a long drive I accidentally left one of my windows down. The app gave me no notification about this, and unfortunately someone got into my car and stole some belongings. At this level, I’d expect a simple alert for unlocked doors or open windows as a standard safety feature.

On top of that, the app itself is glitchy… half the time it doesn’t connect to the car at all. For a premium vehicle, the app feels underdeveloped and unreliable.

This has got to be one of the worst app I’ve ever used.  It works when it feels like it.  Totally unreliable as it frequently doesn’t stick to its charging schedule.  The preheat doesn’t work at all.  Also despite setting it to read in miles each time, every time I go back into the app it has set itself back to kilometres.  Customer services are useless.  They will take over a week to respond and never seem to understand your problem or if they do their response is usually so poorly written it’s unintelligible .  I think this is because they are Chinese and using a pretty poor translation app to communicate.  If I didn’t have to have the app for the car I wouldn’t bother with it.  So frustrating.  It lets the car down big time.

Vous êtes au courant que préchauffer la MG3 hybrid+ version standard est risqué ?
Car si vous n’éteignez pas le chauffage (ou la clim) depuis votre application, en quelques heures la batterie de 12V se vide ! Ça fait des mois que les utilisateurs se plaignent… quand ils ont la chance de trouver pourquoi leur batterie se retrouve à plat d’un seul coup !(merci les groupes Facebook)
Car on garde ça bieeeen discret :
3 aller-retours au garage pour ma part avant qu’on me dise «n’utilisez plus l’application MG » !
Le problème doit pouvoir se résoudre avec quelques lignes de code, encore faut-il que quelqu’un se penche sur le problème…!

I have driven this MG4 Trophy over One year and the app is rubbish! The phone hand free connection with this car always has to Pair each time you in the car! ! Such a shame that can made dangerous as you can’t answer your phone when you are driving!! The drive mode also is a failure 😨 you have to put it on ECO one pedal drive every time before you start the journey and Also it can Be unavailable even the battery was only 70% ! What a big mistake for people buy this brand new car 🚙 Thus app is a waste app for people to use 🥵like myself! Definitely warning people Don’t buy this car!

### 1/5 — Leider ein Rückschritt mit der neuen Version

Ich habe seit Oktober 2023 meinen MG4 und nutze auch seitdem die App. In der ersten Version war alles sehr einfach gestaltet und die App hatte immer wieder mal Probleme, wenn man länger als einen Tag keinen Systemcheck des Autos durchführte. Tat man dieses täglich funktionierte sie, zumindest bei mir recht gut. Mit dem/den folgenden Update/s kam ein frischeres und etwas ansprechenderes Erscheinungsbild, jedoch funktioniert die App seitdem deutlich schlechter bis garnicht, obwohl das Auto direkt vor der Tür steht, kommt immer wieder die Fehlermeldung, dass die Sitzung abgelaufen ist und man es später versuchen soll??? Die Meldung kommt auch, wenn man direkt neben dem Auto steht!!! Auch das Löschen des Datenspeichers oder ein Ab-/Anmelden der App hilft nicht!!! Mittlerweile funktioniert die App immer seltener, ohne erkennbaren Grund!! Die Menüoption "Haut" soll vermutlich darstellen welches Aussehen die Appoberfläche haben soll, es erschließt sich mir der Punkt nicht, da nur weiß ausgewählt werden kann!! Insgesamt stellt man sich bei der mangelhaften Übersetzung die Frage, ob die Entwickler selbst zum Nutzen des Googleübersetzers zu faul waren. Die App ist im aktuellen Zustand nutzlos, wie ein Großteil der gesamten Fahrzeugsoftware!! MG/Saic bessert die App und vorallem auch die Software von Navigation (Stichwort Ladesäulenerkennung, Ladeplanung) und den Assistenzsystemen schnellstmöglich nach, denn solche Ausfälle vergraulen die Kunden!! Ergänzung: Neuerdings kommt die Fehlermeldung auf französisch, obwohl als Sprache deutsch eingestellt ist!!!???? Liegt hier ein Fall von Fachkräftemangel, Dessinteresse oder schlicht Unfähigkeit vor???

Frustrating experience coming from Tesla where everything just worked. Sometimes I can connect to the car via the app, other times I can’t. It’s a complete lottery. Not what you want from a car app. With the Tesla I used to leave the car key at home and rely on my phone. I would love to do that with the MG but I cannot rely on this app so I have to take a physical car key with me. Feels like a step back in convenience and technology. I’m sure it could be easily fixed with a software update so I have no idea why MG don’t do this. Until then it’s 2 stars.

Application sympathique mais en retard par rapport à d’autres… pas de widgets (ce qui serait un vrai +), pas de possibilité d’ouvrir le toit ouvrant ou les fenêtres à distances, pas de possibilité de lancer le chauffage des sièges à distance non plus, en tout cas pas sur ZS EV. La rapidité est à revoir aussi… et également un thème variable à l’appareil (clair / sombre). Bref, à améliorer mais bien pratique quand même…

This app needs a lot more improvement in regard to alerts with the car. I’ve had other cars with an app and you get notified if the windows are left open at the slightest, when the car doors are not lot etc. the only time I get a notification is when I need fuel which I’ll always know because I can see it. There needs to be safety alerts. Honestly even with everything else this app does have which might be good, without safety alerts or reminders it’s no good tbh. Almost pointless even having an app.

App definitely needs a upgrade, I won’t mention what other car I had but from their app I could change quite a few things from the app alone, 1 being the sat nav map colours the direction arrows colours and shapes etc. it would also.  Be handy to turn on and off certain functions in the infotainment system and set certain radio stations to cater for my needs before leaving on my journey. Like I said it’s a good set up now but definitely needs a upgrade

Je trouve l’application vraiment super bien. Le faites de pouvoir chauffer ça voiture à distance ou de pouvoir la déverrouiller / verrouiller avec juste sont téléphone je trouve ça ouf. Seul point que j’aimerais que Mg crée ce serais le faites de pouvoir se crée un profil avec les aide que le vont désactivé, le niveaux de régénération de la batterie tout ça tout ça. Mais sinon l application et très simple de prise en main.

L’application fonctionne très bien, excepté quelques défauts de traduction. Serait-il possible d’avoir la mise à jour pour la caraïbe et l’Amérique du Sud notamment la Guyane Française. Pour la navigation TELENAV. Souhaitant avoir une bonne écoute, je vous remercie par avance. Un client très satisfait de sa Marvel R et d’une MG5 En Guyane Française 🇬🇫 🙌 Autre chose : depuis la mise à jour de la nouvelle version ISmart. Je n’arrive pas à lier la Marvel. Vous avez une solution ?? Mg5 pas de soucis 👍🏽

Sowohl das Auto als auch die App funktionieren zuverlässig.
Zur Steuerung oder zur Übersicht des Fahrzeugstatus läuft es gut. Verbindung funktioniert meist einwandfrei. Die App könnte moderner und mit noch mehr Fahrzeugdetails ausgestattet sein. Wie z.B. der Verbrauch und einer Übersicht der letzten Ladungen.

Having seen the reviews I was very worried. However the dealership linked my phone to the app and all has worked fine. Occasionally you have to refresh the app screen to get the information but that’s not a deal breaker. Only once did the app not link to the car but it tells you this could be due to phone signal where your car is parked. Sure enough once I moved the car to a different location, everything was working again. Soon as the car was in that spot again and the phone and car could not talk. At least I know that’s a signal black spot and nothing serious. With the app you can lock and unlock the car, see your battery information and range, pre heat or pre cool the car ( only in 10 minute sessions - unless I’m doing something wrong) remote start the car (once your in it, so no car key needed) and a map function to find your car if you can’t remember where you parked it. All in all it’s working ok for me. Maybe I’ve just dropped lucky? Or maybe they pushed out more updates to improve the app? So I have to give this an honest 5 stars review, as I’m having no issues with the app.

Je suis en Tunisie et j ai acheter une mg es ev facelift je n arrive pas a avoir les information de la voiture sur l application de mon iPhone J’ai uniquement le numéro de de châssis et rien d autre pas de nivaux de charge ni type de batterie en fait rien que la photo de la voiture Merci de me donner une reponce pourquoi ça ne marche pas merci

Erst das Negative: selbst der HS Lux hat keine Lenkradheizung, wird mir aber in der App als Option zum Einschalten angezeigt… den Programmierern bitte zukommen lassen das die Option der Fronscheibenheitzung/Gebläse eher sinnvoll wäre, mit der Heckscheibe funktioniert es ja auch! 
Mehr Kritik gibts nicht!
Die App funktioniert nach kurzer Eingewöhnung ziemlich gut. Klar, manchmal hat das Auto keinen Empfang, oder das Handy. Da hapert es das eine oder andere Mal mit der Übertragung von Befehlen. Ansonsten passt soweit, ist ja mehr oder weniger eine nette Spielerei. 
Was noch nett wäre, Informationen für die nächste Wartung in Tagen/Km. Ansonsten habe ich an der App nichts zu meckern.

Bisher seit 2 Tagen im Einsatz. Man hat immer Zugriff auf alle Daten, Ladestand, Standort,etc… bisher auch immer stabile Verbindung und alle Funktionen funktionieren. Alles gut :)

Der Fahrzeugscan funktioniert ganz oft nicht. App mehrfach deinstalliert/ installiert, gleiches Problem. Im Moment klappt es überhaupt nicht. Dadurch auch keine Einschaltung der Heizfunktion möglich. So ist die App nicht zu gebrauchen.

Mittlerweile, nach einem Update, ist alles wunderbar. Funktion total gegeben. Deshalb nun fünf Sterne. 👍
