## Most critical reviews (7 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs sharing options.

*2024-10-19*

Dear Yamaha. It’s been FOUR YEARS.
Please update this simple app to have the ability to share. It’s ridiculous in this day and age.

As another reviewer noted, there’s no way to open recordings in another app for editing or sending via email/iMessage. You have to use file transfer in iTunes, which slows this process down considerably. I like the simplicity of the app, but it needs some more basic functions. I’ll stick with the excellent AudioShare for now, but as I just picked up a MG12XUK mixer, it would have been nice to use this app as well.

### 1/5 — NO FILE SHARING OR DOWNLOADING COMPATIBILITY

*2020-11-09*

THIS IS QUITE REDICULOUS EVEN THOUGH THE APP IS GOOD BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO DOWNLOAD THE RECORDING OR UPLOAD TO CLOUD. GUYS CAN YOU PLEASE GET THIS FIXED????? FRUSTRATING AND HENCE THE CAPS

### 1/5 — No file sharing

No file sharing what good is the app

### 2/5 — Needs sharing options.

*2023-01-19, version 1.0.9*

As another reviewer noted, there’s no way to open recordings in another app for editing or sending via email/iMessage. You have to use file transfer in iTunes, which slows this process down considerably. I like the simplicity of the app, but it needs some more basic functions. ### 3/5 — No File Transfer Options

*2017-08-27*

The app does not have file transfer options built in. Four example, a recording cannot be sent as an attachment to a text message or email. It also cannot be transferred to iCloud or dropbox. Therefore, unless you happen to be sitting in front of your computer at home (I'll explain shortly) the recordings can only be played back on the device on which they were recorded.

It is possible to transfer the files to your computer using iTunes.
- Connect your phone to your computer using a lightning cable.
- Open iTunes
- Select your iPhone (icon)
- Select "Apps" from the settings menu in iTunes
- Select the MG Rec&Play app
- Drag and drop the audio file to a folder on your computer

MG Rec&Play uses the .WAV file format.

### 4/5 — Convenient

*2025-04-06*

easy and simple to use for quick playback
the problem is that you cannot access your recordings with the files app

### 5/5 — AWESOME!

*2017-08-09*

But how do I download the files from the app??
