## What is MHtoolkit?

MHtoolkit is a free, private wellbeing companion for reflection, planning, and day-to-day mental health self-management. No subscriptions. No ads. No data sold.

IMPORTANT MEDICAL INFORMATION
MHtoolkit does not diagnose, treat, or replace a doctor or licensed mental health professional. Seek professional advice before medical decisions. If you may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or use the crisis resources in the app.

AI CHAT WITH YOUR CHOICE OF CONTEXT
Chat with an AI companion for general reflection and practical support. Before any message, voice transcript, or selected personal context is sent to an AI provider, the app asks for consent. Personal context is off by default and can be enabled separately for mood, assessments, goals, habits, journal entries, library notes, planner items, and focus sessions. Consent can be revoked in Settings.

PUBLISHED-SOURCE SELF-ASSESSMENTS
Review recall periods, scoring limitations, and source citations before and after:
- PHQ-9 depression symptom screener
- GAD-7 anxiety symptom screener
- CBI personal burnout self-report measure
These tools report non-diagnostic symptom ranges. A positive PHQ-9 self-harm response immediately shows safety guidance and crisis actions.

MOOD, GOALS, AND HABITS
Save mood check-ins, view patterns, plan goals using several frameworks, and build or reduce habits with streaks, routines, rewards, and optional accountability.

JOURNAL AND LIFE PLANNING
Write and organize private journal entries, map dreams and priorities, plan morning, afternoon, and evening routines, and turn selected ideas into goals or habits.

LIBRARY AND WELLBEING TOOLS
Explore 100+ source-backed books, videos, and original profiles of public figures. Each resource includes premises, takeaways, citations, and practical actions. Use meditation, grounding, breathing, focus timers, cognitive games, affirmations, and support resources.

PRIVACY CONTROLS
- Use anonymously for the core experience
- Explicit AI data-sharing consent
- Optional per-category AI context
- Export or delete saved data
- Delete a permanent account in the app
- Accountability partners receive only user-enabled activity counts and fixed-format celebrations, not raw private content

MHtoolkit supports self-management and reflection. It is not medical care or emergency response.
