## What is Mic Night?

Mic Night turns any room into a karaoke night: pick songs on your phone, play the video on your TV, and let everyone join from their own phone by scanning a QR code. Then the whole room gets in on it: cheering, daring, duetting and handing out awards. No account, no ads, no setup.

THE WHOLE ROOM PLAYS ALONG
• Crowd reactions: while someone sings, guests tap fire, applause, laugh and heart reactions on their phones and the emoji float up on the TV
• Spin & Dare: spin for a song that fits your voice, or let the room vote on what you sing next
• Duet matchmaking: queue a duet and every phone gets "Who's in?"
• Hype intro: every singer gets a "Now taking the stage" moment on the TV
• End-of-night awards: Most Hyped, Comedy Gold, Duet MVP, Daredevil and more, on the TV and every phone
• Soundboard: air horn, applause, drumroll and ba-dum-tss for the host

EVERY PHONE IS A SONGBOOK
Tap Start Hosting and Mic Night shows a QR code. Friends on your Wi-Fi scan it and get the whole songbook in their phone's browser: no install, no account. They pick songs, send them to your queue, see about how long until they're up, and get a heads-up when it's their turn. Rejoin next time and Mic Night remembers what they sang. Free hosting includes 3 guest phones at once; Mic Night Pro makes it unlimited.

PUT IT ON THE TV
Connect a TV with AirPlay Screen Mirroring or a USB-C/HDMI cable: the video plays on the big screen while your phone stays the remote. Between songs the TV shows who's up next and a big QR code so anyone in the room can add a song. Back-to-back songs crossfade.

1,200+ FREE SONGS, IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The free songbook has over 1,200 songs across 15 genres, including 100 of the most-sung songs in each of six languages: Korean, Japanese, Mandarin & Cantonese, Vietnamese, Tagalog (OPM) and Spanish. Menus in English, Spanish, Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

FIND SONGS THAT FIT YOUR VOICE
A-Z with a fast letter rail, filters for genre, decade, vocal range and duets, a "Hot" sort, and instant search. Every song is tagged for difficulty and vocal range, and Mic Night tells you when a song sits right in your range.

A QUEUE THAT RUNS THE NIGHT
Add singers, queue their picks and let Mic Night call the next singer. Duet partners, dares and spins are marked right in the queue. Nobody fights for the mic.

SONG PACKS: 10,000+ MORE SONGS
Twelve curated packs, one-time purchases: K-Pop & Korean, J-Pop & Japanese, Latino & Español, OPM: Tagalog Hits, V-Pop & Nhạc Việt, Mandopop & KTV, Pop Deluxe, Rock Legends & Metal, Country Roadhouse, R&B Block Party, Emo Night, Crooners & Broadway. Browse every song before you buy. A pack you own works on every guest's phone at your party too.

MIC NIGHT PRO: FOR THE PARTY HOST
One-time purchase, no subscription:
• Theme nights: '80s, '90s, Breakup Anthems, Power Ballads, K-Pop, OPM, Latin and more. The songbook on every phone follows the theme, and the TV dresses up for it
• Unlimited guest phones
• Fair rotation: everyone sings once before anyone sings twice
• Party history & all-time stats
• Your party's name and colors on the TV and every guest's phone
• For You picks based on what your crowd sings

BUILT FOR IPAD TOO
A real iPad layout: a sidebar, a two-column songbook and a party view that keeps the queue beside the video, with Split View, Stage Manager and keyboard shortcuts.

PRIVACY
No account, no ads, no tracking, no ad identifiers. Favorites, history, queue and party stats stay on your device. Hosting, reactions and votes run over your own Wi-Fi. The only thing Mic Night counts is anonymous, aggregate totals (which songs get sung, how often packs are opened), never by whom.

Pick a song. Pass the mic.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7 — 2026-10-11

Made for iPhone Duo. Half-fold your phone and stand it up on the table: the karaoke video plays on the top half while the bottom half becomes your stage deck, with who's singing, who's up next, guest reactions, the soundboard and Start / Next song buttons. Connect a TV and the top half turns into a host deck while the video plays on the big screen. Close the phone between songs and the cover screen plays the next singer's hype intro. Also new: Mic Night now speaks French, plus small layout fixes for languages with longer text.

### 1.6 — 2026-10-06

A fresh new look. On iPad and in the web app, Mic Night spreads out with a sidebar, a two-column songbook and a party view that keeps the queue next to the video while you browse. Songs get colorful genre tiles, the Packs store shows cover art and sample songs, and an empty queue walks you through starting a party. Between songs the TV shows who's up next and the next four singers. Plus a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island for the host, haptics, iPad keyboard shortcuts, support for larger text sizes, and 13,000+ songs.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-03

Your first party is on us. Tap “Start my free party” in the Packs tab to unlock every song pack and all Pro features for 48 hours. After that, grab a Party Pass (48 hours, doesn’t renew) or All Access (yearly). Packs and Pro you already bought stay yours forever.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-29

Small fix: guests who tap “I’m in!” for a duet or “Let the room dare me” before saving a name are now asked for one, so the tap joins them in instead of doing nothing.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-28

Party games! Mic Night now pulls the whole room into the show.

• Crowd reactions: guests tap fire, applause, laugh and heart reactions on their phones and the emoji float up on the TV
• Spin & Dare: spin for a song, or let the room vote on what someone sings next
• Duet matchmaking: queue a duet and every phone gets "Who's in?"
• Hype intro: "Now taking the stage" on the TV before every singer
• End-of-night awards on the TV and every phone, ready to share
• Theme nights with Mic Night Pro: '90s, Breakup Anthems, K-Pop and more
• Host soundboard: air horn, applause, drumroll
• Guests see about how long until they're up, and "Sing it again" picks when they rejoin
• Song cards tell you when a song fits your range
