This will become my number one recorder. ### 5/5 — Great for Stand Alone on Watch *2017-03-17* I wanted to find a recorder mostly to use with the Apple Watch for quick reminders on the go. I tried a couple of other apps before I found this one and am very pleased with it. First and foremost, you do not have to enable iCloud Drive or an internet/WiFi connection to use the app. You can use it to record stand-alone on the watch or record messages from the watch to the iphone. I can record - playback and delete quick voice messages from the watch itself. Of couse you can also use the app directly on the iphone but that was not my main interest. Also it has a Watch Complication, so you can add it to your watch face for quick access. Definitely happy with this app. ### 5/5 — Best Recording App *2017-03-07* This app is handy! It's function is fluid and so easy to use. The settings make it so that the user has control for their specific needs. Export capability is perfect for sharing recordings. All around great audio recording app that has made great progress through development with every update. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Auto deletes without warning, No Undelete *2019-06-13* Though I love this app, there is a major function fault, and I’ve learned now I cannot trust this app. There have been so many times when I touch the button to stop the recording, it instead it starts a new recording. What’s incredibly depressing is that it completely deletes what I had just been recording! I can’t tell you how many times I recorded something very important only to find out it’s just been deleted. Several times I had very important meetings, thinking I’m happy that I have a verbal recording only to find I have nothing, Murphy’s Law it is always the important times it fails. Last night with family 2 + hours of memories just gone! This app should have a stop button, or something that tells you it’s going to start a new recording before it just trashed what you had been recording, or at least ‘auto’ place that recording that it just stopped into a file where you can choose to delete it, unfortunately it does not have this. Because I’ve lost so many important conversations is the reason I give 1 star. ### 1/5 — Dumb design *2018-04-17* So, you record something important....then try to save it AS IS,...swipe up, swipe down, swipe left, swipe right,...diagonally, push the screen and hold, etc. etc. etc. etc. and the only thing that ends up happening is you end up pushing the red mic again and it starts recording again. Put a simple file folder or SOMETHING to save it and have it reset to record again. I deleted and had to find something else. I know it’s supposed to be simple, but you made it too simple. Remember,...function over form.... ### 1/5 — Great idea terrible execution *2017-10-17* I just finished a 2 hour interview with a very important person to my project only to find out that because I opened another app to write a number down, the entire interview was not just stopped, but it was not even saved!!! I mean seriously you had one job and it was incapable to fulfilling it. Thank God someone else recorded with the regular iPhone mic app. Completely unacceptable until you fix this problem ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2017-04-08* I don't care if you just launched. Let's see; Offered as Free App?! Well Let me tell you ; No,it does not . All I get is a screen that says mic'd start n stop. If I or you want the complete app,ad we our lead to believe we are getting, cough up $2.99! I hate liars and I hate gimmicks. I can think of a few Yiddish words but I'm not good at spelling. ### 1/5 — Broken on 6S+ *2017-04-06* On my iPhone 6S+ after a very brief splash graphic, the app shows ONLY the big red record button and only recording and pausing a single track is possible. There are no playback or management options no matter where I press on the screen or how hard or where I swipe. I deleted the app and re-installed it, but the behavior is the same. ### 4/5 — Incredible watch integration *2018-06-15, version 3.0* This app does something all others do not: let's you initiate recording on iPhone but from your Apple Watch. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because supports seems to be non existant and playing back audio recordings done on external mic doesn't sound right. Their website site also does not work and is out dated, and in-app email does not work. Other than that; it's an incredibly useful app that is beautiful in its simplicity. ### 4/5 — A must have app *2017-07-14* Best app I've found for recording, esp on ipad and record iphone conversations rather than writing notes on paper 5 stars if editing of title didn't get removed after closing app ### 4/5 — So close *2017-04-06* Love that it works on the watch and syncs well with my iPhone: just 2 problems: 1. almost every time I open the app on my phone it only give access to the recording button and can't access the settings or lists of recordings 2. You can't start a recording on your watch and have it continue recording without it showing on the screen. As soon as you palm the screen it stops recording ### 5/5 — Please update! *2023-12-02* I have tried many on the go voice recording apps and this one is the best and most intuitive. The design is genius because it makes it super easy to start recording. Most of the other apps have small “record” buttons which is a major problem for me as most of the ideas I record come to me when I’m driving. Mic’d large record button makes it so easy and safe to launch recording while driving. The app recently stopped working and I suspect due to a lack of privacy update. Please update your app! It would be a shame to let it go into oblivion. ### 5/5 — Support these folks, perfect recording app. *2017-11-20* Beautiful UI, simplistic and accurately functioning. However, accessibility needs to be improved. For example, the Watch companion app only says button, instead of record button. Also, the two buttons to select between phone or watch needs to be labeled as phone button selected or watch button selected. That’s just an example of some of the improvements that need to be addressed in future app updates.
