## What is michimikke?

Official events near you, soonest first.

michimikke helps families find official events with a visible source and check date, and turn one of them into the family's plan.

Visiting Japan with kids? Events at zoos, aquariums, and parks in Tokyo, Yokohama, Enoshima, Kyoto, and Fukuoka show English titles, with the official page and the date we last checked them. Times are Japan time; fees and booking are on the official pages, which are in Japanese.

Choose the prefecture where your family lives, and the city if you like, and the home screen lists its official events: on today, this weekend, coming up, and longer-running exhibitions. Mikke, a calico cat scout, picks this weekend's ideas as large photo cards. The map shows only events near you, one pin per venue, and "Search this area" finds events elsewhere. When you need help sorting out what everyone wants, ask Michi, your Shiba Inu AI friend.

What you can do
• See your area's official events, soonest first
• Narrow the list with search and Today / This weekend / All
• See nearby events on the map, venue by venue
• Check the source, check date, venue, schedule, and venue weather, including warnings and heat alerts
• Choose an event, then send the plan to family or add it to your calendar
• Save ideas to Plan with the heart
• Ask Michi for rainy-day ideas or help deciding
• Add trip dates and destinations to see events during your stay
• Save verified visits as private on-device memories

Built for families, without unnecessary tracking
• No account
• No ads
• No behavioral tracking
• Your area and trips stay on this device
• Browse official events without sharing your current location
• Precise location, accuracy, distance, and on-site decisions never leave the device and are not stored
• A map center sent for searching is rounded to roughly a one-kilometer grid before transmission
• Plans and memories stay on this device

michimikke is not a booking marketplace or a review ranking. It reduces the time spent comparing and helps a family reach the moment when one idea becomes the day's plan.

### 1.9 — 2026-10-21

### 1.8 — 2026-10-18

The app is now organized into five tabs: Weekend, Discover, Plan, Memories and My Page. Discover lets you narrow official events by date, region or the map area and choose from a list with artwork. Tap the heart to keep ideas in Plan, and places you verify on site appear as stamps in Memories. Region, notification and privacy settings now live in My Page.

Save your everyday prefecture or city separately from your trip plans. Add a trip name, dates, and multiple destinations, find official events overlapping your stay in Japan time, and add ideas to your plan. Region and trip settings stay on your device. No account or location permission is needed.

The initial selection covers 13 prefectures and 23 municipalities with reviewed sources. Event coverage varies by region, and English event information is limited to selected venues. Links from web event pages preserve your saved everyday region and trips. Check the official source for the final schedule and participation requirements.

### 1.7 — 2026-10-14

Continue from a web event page into the app with the event and its region in context. Compare this weekend’s options in that region without changing your saved region. If you choose a different region while an event is loading, your choice takes priority. Check the official source, verification date, schedule, and venue as you plan your family outing.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-18

Weekend discovery now puts event artwork first, with the date, time, venue weather, and Mikke's reason easier to scan. Swipe for another idea, choose your favorite, and optionally schedule one weekly reminder for Thursday evening, Friday afternoon, or Saturday morning.
