## What is MicoAtlas?

MicoAtlas is an offline mushroom guide and personal field journal for recording your trips, observations and collections.

Browse common mushroom species from Spain and Europe, keep your notes on your device and prepare your field trips even without coverage. The app downloads an editorial catalogue so the main guide can work without depending on a constant internet connection.

Main features:
- Species guide with morphological, ecological and edibility information.
- Offline use after downloading the catalogue.
- Local field journal to record trips, locations, recent rainfall, observations and collections.
- Journal export in JSON and CSV.
- Light and dark mode.
- Premium unlock through a one-time in-app purchase.

MicoAtlas does not identify mushrooms automatically and must not be used as the only reference to decide whether a species is edible. Mushroom safety requires checking several reliable sources and, if in doubt, not consuming the mushroom.

Your spots, named your way. They used to be saved with the map address, which got confusing with a lot of them.

• Every spot has its own details: elevation (filled in automatically), aspect, productivity, the species it produces and notes for habitat, soil or access.
• The address stays on as a reference only.
• My collection now leads with the scientific name, the one that doesn't change from region to region, with the common name below.
• Species still to find are visible in light mode.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-08-08

New "How to recognize it" card in every entry: cap shape, hymenium, ring and volva, drawn so you can compare them with the mushroom in your hand.

Entries reordered: safety and traits first. The calendar now tells you whether it is in season right now.

You can report an error in an entry.

Clearer offline guide: missing photos finish downloading on their own.

Optional alerts for species in season and recent rain in your zones.

Also: correct dates and fewer empty sections.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-07-30

More reliable premium purchases: they are now verified with the store before unlocking content. If the payment goes through but verification cannot complete, access is granted anyway and retried in the background.

New version notice: the app now tells you when an update is available, so you are not left on an outdated catalogue.
