On one versus one mode, when you can’t get a real player, they give you five courses with a set par, which is a good idea in theory because you almost never get a real opponent on that mode. However, by the time you get a real opponent, you are not prepared because you have only been able to play yourself. Also, some of the courses are very irritating and should be removed. Also, with the way the energy and balls work, this game is borderline pay-to-win. I want to like this game, but for these reasons, I just cannot. ### 4/5 — Ads *2020-07-28, version 3.27.1* I have been playing this game for years. Great potty time game, but why are ads cutting into the middle of my games forcing me to lose every time? Also, I have always been a fan of playing the ads properly to support vendors and get rewards, but the ads hardly ever work,. When they do the ad finishes and says can’t find ad. I’m close to giving up, but hope they will fix soon. ### 4/5 — Additional slots *2020-05-13, version 3.26.1* As a long time player of this game, I’d like to see the additional slot be given and not be a temporary purchase item. As the long repair times for golf balls doesn’t allow me to keep playing constantly. I always have to wait a few days to play. you’re losing players by having this. Id love to be able to play non-stop but, I can’t because I constantly run out of balls. ### 3/5 — OP *2020-02-25, version 3.26.1* I really enjoy this game. however, it’s ridiculous when a level 24 and level 27 player are teamed up together in a 2v2 meanwhile i’m a lvl 19 and get paired with a level 13 player with 30 wins. And, those level 24+ players are nearly impossible to beat. No matter how well you outsmart or outplay them, they will come back with an impossible shot and it’s inevitable that they’ll have a confusion to use on the last level to really make the win impossible. (terrible perk btw. make power ups unusable on tie breakers, at the very least). One last thing, how do you even get to level 27 much less 24? you would have to win like 30,000 games. that’s ridiculous. other than that i love this game and will continue to play it. just please fix this rigged 2v2 stuff. they have to be bots. ### 3/5 — "Super Love" and "Super Annoying" *2019-05-17, version 3.16* You know what's really annoying about this app. They give me something that I enjoy playing every day--like therapeutically every day. But then they will have updates every few days. I don't mind updates but when you open the app, it requires you to update before you can play. The link sends me to the app store but there is no update. And then I just keep spinning in a loop until finally there is an update reflected in the App store. Sometimes it will take a day. So 1) thank you for making a game that I love love LOVE playing, but 2) you're gonna have to go through some GD annoying stuff that's out of your control from time to time to play it. Update: Changing it to 3 stars. It's been 2 days so far. Update the app, that's fine. But let people play it until the new version is available in their store. Stop making it mandatory. I don't care if I'm playing an old version--I just want to play solo games. I don't care about score, I don't care about coins, I just want some relaxing phone golf. I might have to look elsewhere for this I guess. ### 4/5 — New updates??Download?? *2019-05-16, version 3.16* Well I love this game, but I hate when a new version is available and you have to click download, but then it won’t do anything just stays on that screen frozen but connecting??? So I always have to felt the app, go to App Store get it again and then download it, re sign in with FB account and it works. However this it seems to go right back to download new version but will never open and tried now 6 times!!!??? I can’t play what a let down! ### 4/5 — Absolutely awesome game with serious flaws *2019-04-27, version 3.14* This is the most addictive golf game i have ever played. The gameplay, the different arenas. Everything is awesome.......except a few rather important features lacking such as, descriptions of literally everything. You pretty much have to try and guess what different symbols mean on the team page, and your record book. This game also takes an insane amount of time on the matchmaking screen, just trying to find a match. Im pretty sure i spend more time on the matchmaking screen than actually getting to play the game! Also the payouts for winning a match, are crazy low compared to how expensive everything else is to upgrade or to fix a damaged ball. All in all, this is a good game. Just needs some major detail work put into it!! ### 5/5 — Fun app that has kept my attention for over a year. *2019-04-24, version 3.14* Love this game. They are constantly adding to the experience and the community. Occasional glitches with the “special” events, but that pails in comparison to the long lasting entertainment. Biggest complaint is actually on the apple side. When forced to update, it may still take 20-30 minutes before the update shows for me. ### 4/5 — ADD A REPORT FOR TOXICITY BUTTON *2019-04-04, version 3.13* Salty players keep spamming the laughing emoji when they either knock me into black hole or water, and by spamming i mean rest of game, also sometimes people have names such as YouLost and try to spam as much laughing emojis possible you making small mistakes. Biggest part is of people playing the game JUST to knock you in water or black hole, even ruining their chances of winning or losing the turn just to do so, it’s incredibly annoying, and rude. ### 3/5 — Very expensive game *2019-02-28, version 3.12* I have been playing this game off and on for about a year and a half. The balls need repair quickly and energy costs diamonds when you don’t have cards. Like most of these apps, I understand the, pay for play model. I play other games and can play for around $5 a week. There is no way to keep playing without spending money in this game! It is by far the greediest game I have ever seen! Hey miniclip, when is enough enough? Good game but your greed shines through in your promotions, offers and gameplay. Earning a ball and using coins and diamonds to acquire should allow you to use the ball indefinitely. I already earned and paid for the ball. Now I have to pay to rent it from you until it runs out of energy again. ### 3/5 — Notification Spam *2018-12-17, version 3.71* Personally, I love this game. It’s simple yet complex depending on play style and experience. Everyone can have fun playing with equally skilled individuals. However, if you choose to enable notifications, you’re in for it. Get ready for notifications every 5 minutes about bonus cards being ready. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. I do want to know when a ball is done being repaired, but I don’t need to be reminded 100 times that I can collect diamonds, coins, etc. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Why even bother playing anymore? *2021-08-21, version 3.30* I don’t understand why there needed to be a new scoring system, it makes no sense to me. Why would I lose more points for losing to an opponent that has a higher rating than me and then on the other hand why would I barely win any points for beating an opponent who has a higher rank than me. I used to play this game every day but now I find myself not even wanting to play anymore with the way the scoring system works. Unless something changes, like implementing the old system again, I’ll be leaving the app for something else. Thank you for years of game play that were fun before this awful change ### 1/5 — Full of paid for cheats, run by a money hungry company *2021-01-23, version 3.28.0* Don’t waste your time. This game use to be good, but since there are cheats now, it’s ruined it. Forced into games with the same three cheaters every solo game I play is the first cheat. The second is guaranteed scores on completely impossible shots. Third, hole magnets for the cheaters. Forth, repulse from within the hole. Fifth, unlimited abilities by those cheaters. Then there is the money hungry, greedy company. Pay to win, lose if you don’t empty your wallet for them. If you don’t spend hundred on this game, you will never win. No matter how perfect you learn the levels and hit requirements. Takes forever to repair balls unless you pay them more money. Good balls take forever to be able to get unless you pay with everything you own. Do not download. ### 1/5 — Won’t start anymore *2020-11-25, version 3.28.0* They want you to delete the app and reinstall so you lose everything you’ve gained and start the grind again. Did that once..won’t have my progress deleted again. So I will be leaving the app on my phone for another good while. If they don’t update..or if the update they release deletes all my progress then ✌️forever. I’ve played this game religiously for around 7 years..I’m talking about daily..I have 2,000 wins in 2v2 mode and 2,000 wins in the 4 player mode...I barely started playing 1v1 this year and was at around 6,500 level...if you play this game you understand how hard it is to have that many wins and how many games I’ve played and how much time I’ve put into this game. I’ve never put money into it..just played a lot. With it not being able to open for more then a month..I’m no longer addicted. I said one last attempt to see if I can play because it was a good simple game to pass the time... deleted it and re-downloaded it and bam lost everything, in app purchases, my profile, my team, lost it all. Had the app since I believe my iPhone 4 or 6, and to lose all the simple accomplishments in boredom is double the amount of wasted time. Especially with no fix. It’s time to download a new app to waste my time. Bye bye micro golf it’s been real. ✌🏾 ### 1/5 — Update bricked the game lost everything cuz I had 2 delete and reinstall *2020-11-05, version 3.28.0* I’ve been playing the game for years and is a fun game. When I first installed it I signed up as a guest and created a name. Since playing it for a couple years I have a lot of stuff under that guest account. Apparently an update happened and I waited for about two months for it to be fixed so I could play again. Never was corrected so I deleted the app and reinstalled which now it works but I have lost everything. There is no option to sign back into that same guest account. When I go to Support, there is no option to contact anybody. I’m hoping this review will allow me to get in touch with somebody and get back signed in as my normal user so I don’t lose everything. I will change my review to five stars if that occurs. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from somebody. ### 1/5 — Microgolf Trashers *2020-10-25, version 3.28.0* This game is an absolute joke now. The game used to be fun but now it’s trash. Only way to be good is if you purchase balls. The more money put into the game the better you are. When playing against other players you will lose if your ball is worse. I have aimed at the same spots as other players and yet my ball doesn’t go to the same place as theirs. I’ve been playing this game for years and I’m probably going to be deleting it. A game that once was a 10/10 is now a 2/10. Updates barely work and the new game modes are worthless. ### 2/5 — Love the game but there’s a big issue currently *2023-07-14* Hey there, I’ve been playing this game on and off for years now and I absolutely love it, which is why my review is 2 stars instead of 1. I recently came back again only to find myself logged out. When I go to attempt to sign into Facebook (the account that has all of my progress from 4+ years of playing), it says something along the lines of “Facebook log in temporarily disabled for this game”. I’ve read some of the recent reviews on the App Store page for this game and it seems like a lot of people are having this problem. I’d love to get back into this game again, but I don’t want to have to restart from the beginning and lose all of my progress. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. -Jackson ### 2/5 — Disappointed with Energy “awards” *2020-07-12, version 3.27.1* I hate that now when I use “energy bars,” I have to use 5 at a time no matter what! It’s completely stupid. What if I just want to play 1 more game? Please fix this! I liked it better when you had the 1X energy cards and the 3X energy cards so I don’t have to use 5 energy when I only want to play one game! Also, the diamond rewards don’t work. I watched an ad and it didn’t pay me the diamonds I earned! Also the ads play during the game which is very frustrating when it costs the game! You have just lost yet another star. ### 2/5 — To many issues *2019-05-16, version 3.16* The game is great fun but that’s when you get to play. Match finding is lengthy and annoying especially when you play someone with 9000 power and 2000 accuracy and you at 90 and 20 not sure how that works. Also it crashes constantly when you watch video for an extra card or go for extra spins. Now the latest when I open the app it says download available, once clicked no download is actually available and the game won’t open. ### 2/5 — Well designed but a GRIND *2017-11-23, version 1.9951* I have mixed feelings about the game because it is cleverly constructed with effective power-ups and creative “terrain elements” such as sand and glue traps, and easily read arrow identified breaks. However it hasn’t grabbed me to the point that I want to spend any more money on it. You have to play a lot to be able to succeed at this game and that means you have to pay a lot. $30 was enough for me. EDIT: After feeling the power of the “ASSASSIN” boost which destroys your ball and returns you to the beginning tee (effectively making you lose the hole) I have decided to put playing the game on hold. There is an expensive antidote (“INDESTRUCTIBLE”) but are we in a race for boosts or playing the game? I have lowered the rating from 3 Stars to 2 Stars and have no current interest in grinding it out. EDIT: The support for this game is non existent, and the “ASSASSIN” boost ruins the game. Ive had this game for over a year now and still cant seem to grow tired of it whatsoever. Its mine as well as my girlfriends past time any where and usually at any time. Bathroom breaks, late at night before bed, before our classes sitting in the commons. All around wonderful game. One thing though, if any one even reads these, an option to select whether or not you want the person you're facing to be able to openly text chat instead of pre-made texts would be neat. Just an idea. Send like an invite type thing and allow it. People like to express and if you were to do that I beleive more would enjoy even more what the game would have to offer, but nevertheless, great game! I’ve been playing I believe for 4+ years now everyday. - the daily objectives are great but so many times I need a 4 player or a tournament to finish but they don’t ever come up. :( Why can’t they all be available all the time? - it would be nice to see a more direct outcome for finishing the daily objectives. Like what do we actually receive for finishing and when do the rewards come? - rewarding ppl who play everyday would be great. Possibly send more dismonds or a free ball repair to ppl who play a certain number of games each day? - Could there be a master list of all the players so we can see in order everyone’s ranking? - When I get new friends to play I’d love to be able to send them coins/gold. Can we make it easier to send ppl gifts within the game not having to use Facebook? - 2 player is really frustrating when your teammate cancels out of the game because it leaves the remaining teammate a lost stroke. Any way to redeem that if the person leaves the game because when someone quits it’s almost a garunteed loss. - the ranking system is really confusing. Can you make a page explaining the ranking system all symbols and what the numerals inside the shields mean? It takes the basic mechanics of minigolf and mixes it other elements. You can earn/win/buy balls with better accuracy and abilities. You can play up to two ability cards per match, which give you clever attack and defense skills. And as you progress, your strength and accuracy raise. Two-vs-two matches are very fun and offer complex strategy and intense competition. I have been playing for three years. It does take some day, several weeks at least, several months more even, to really gain momentum. I literally left my phone open and let it load for about 45 minutes and nothing happened ### 5/5 — Fix solo mode *2019-05-16, version 3.16* Recently an update was made to the solo gameplay where a tie breaker was introduced. The solo mode is completely broken now because whatever you score doesn't matter. You're not rewarded by playing well. The only thing that matters is the "tie breaker". There is no incentive to score low. And even the tie breaker doesn't work. It would seem logical that the closer you are to the center of the ring would grant you a lower tie breaking score. However, I've beaten my previous scores on solo mode with shots farther away from the center of the bullseye. This makes no sense. Solo needs to be fixed.
