### 3/5 — please add light mode

*2026-04-22, version 1.6.22*

Good app but need light mode eyes hurt

### 4/5 — Um

*2026-03-18, version 1.6.22*

I do like this app however I am getting a strange occurrence when I am going from logged review and edit portion… the app gets stuck in transition and continues circling until I have to delete the app and re- boot… there is no way around it and I cannot do anything else with my phone until I delete…. Sad when you pay money for something and glitch turns you off of it.

### 4/5 — Great for pregnancy

*2026-02-01, version 1.6.21*

I’ve been loving this app for getting all my micros during pregnancy. I knocked off one star because there’s a few bugs with adding in foods/supplements that are a little annoying. Not a deal breaker though! Hope they keep improving the app.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2025-07-21, version 1.6.12*

Microgram is such a user-friendly tracking app! I love how quick it is to log meals and actually see both macros and micros – such a game changer!
Highly recommend if you’re into health & fitness!

### 5/5 — amazing

*2025-07-02, version 1.6.12*

tracks so much more than just calories and basic micronutrients and sets a plan for you all for free!!

### 3/5 — Doesn’t sync back to iHealth

*2025-06-17, version 1.6.11*

Everything else about the app is amazing, but just a heads up - if you want your nutrition data to sync BACK to Apple health app this is not the app for you. Otherwise it does exactly what it promises and does it well

### 5/5 — Simple and truthful tracking!

*2025-04-14, version 1.6.10*

Love how easy the app was to onboard to with customised experiences on habits, lifestyle etc that tailored the entire plan for free! I decided to upgrade to pro and it’s been a game changer to be able to take pictures of my food and track it without having to manually write it down - saving me so much time. Absolutely love this app and will continue using 🙏

### 5/5 — Quick and efficient

*2025-03-06, version 1.6.4*

Tracking apps make it so complicated to log meals and snacks, having to enter every ingredient manually - Microgram is just so fast and easy! I never realized how what I was eating impacted my energy, stress and sleep - so helpful to learn so much about myself with just a quick snap or scan!

### 5/5 — Such a great app

*2025-03-05, version 1.6.3*

I've tried a lot of nutrition tracking apps, but this one really stands out. The way it tracks vitamins and minerals is super intuitive—no more guessing if I’m getting enough magnesium or vitamin D. I also really like that its data comes straight from the USDA, and you know you can trust what you’re logging.
The app also makes it really easy to stay consistent, which is usually the hardest part with these kinds of tools. Logging feels seamless, and for once I’ve actually been sticking with it instead of getting frustrated and giving up after a few days.
Super excited to see what updates and features come next, but even as it is, Microgram has already been such a game-changer!

### 5/5 — Very user friendly, accurate and useful

*2025-02-24, version 1.6.1*

Very useful and simple to use. To finally get a real understanding of the nutrient we get per day. Interface is intuitive and fluid. The scan is impressively accurate.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just put the paywall up front.

*2026-02-09, version 1.6.21*

Once you download the app you have to pay to use any of their features.

### 1/5 — You have to pay

*2026-02-05, version 1.6.21*

The description for the app says you can use the ‘free limited version’ that doesn’t include some features. The features being tracking your diet like what. That’s the whole point of this app. Just say it’s a paid service because I wasted my time making an account for this.

### 1/5 — Give me a minute already!

*2025-12-31, version 1.6.19*

Why would you ask me for a rating when I haven’t even used it and have barely downloaded it two minutes ago. Very annoying. We’ll see what it looks like a couple of months from now shall we?

### 1/5 — Wasted 15 minutes

*2025-10-17, version 1.6.16*

I created an account, did all the onboarding and was poking around to get oriented and somehow the whole thing reset to the beginning and wanted to me do it again. Blah.

### 1/5 — No testing possible

*2025-09-17, version 1.6.16*

So far I have not been able to use any of the advertised features, I wanted a calorie tracker and so far I was forced to provide personal data and get a nutrition plan useless because I write better nutrition plans at this app while at the same time I was not able to use any of the advertised features to track my calories yet but was already prompted to write a review

So here’s my honest review: allow me to actually test the features such as the tracking before asking me for review and then I’m happy to provide an honest review of the actual features

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-05-02, version 1.6.10*

I downloaded this to track what nutrients (vitamins and minerals) I’m getting in my food. However, this is a premium feature which you have to pay for, costing £9.99 per month or £34.99 annually.
In the free plan, you can track only carbs, protein and fats, which is pretty rubbish considering all the other apps out there which offer a lot more information in a much more user friendly way, and for free.

It’s complicated to log your foods, most of the top results being American brands, and they are measured in confusing units (orange juice in grams instead of ml for example). Makes it a quite a chore.

My Fitness Pal is my go to and you can track many vitamins and minerals under the free plan with that app. I was just hoping to take a closer look into that side of my diet, but since this app does not offer what it’s supposed to, I will be deleting it as it is not useful at all to me.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate

*2025-04-10, version 1.6.8*

I logged everything I ate by weight and reading the packet and then did the same with this app. It was nearly 400 calories too little using this app so a complete waste of money.

### 2/5 — Why is this so hard to use

*2026-03-06, version 1.6.22*

This isn’t my first nutrient app, and it’s way harder than others I’ve used. It’s SLOW, so entering foods involves several long seconds of waiting for analysis EVERY TIME, even for items I’ve logged several times. It gets serving sizes wrong daily. I can’t find a simple way to add recipes I’ve made myself so I don’t have to log all the ingredients every time—it seems to prefer that I eat packaged foods only. It hears me say “Jif peanut butter” and then gives me nutritional data for a peanut butter and jelly spread instead. I could go on and on. I’m not happy. I do like how easy it is to see my daily progress towards nutrient goals, especially because I need a specific amount of potassium daily, but so far that’s all I like.

### 3/5 — Potential

*2026-05-18, version 1.6.22*

The app has a lot of potential, and it does a great job for the features that it has developed. But there’s some key ones that are still missing. After paying $50 for a subscription, I shouldn’t have to wait on some basic features. You are unable to log full meals/ recipes and save them to be reused. So if you meal prep a large portion, be prepared to retype in the macros and food every single time. Saving meals and recipes should be a basic feature!!

### 3/5 — Free users can’t contribute to the database?

*2026-05-06, version 1.6.22*

The fact it’s a paid feature is silly. Being able to add things to the database seems both productive and beneficial to the app and its user base. You should allow free users to modify and add to the database. Otherwise you’re asking people to pay to contribute to your apps data! If you’re not going to update it and contribute yourselves as developers, why bottleneck your own data that you’d receive from free users?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it so far

*2026-07-30, version 1.6.23*

Just downloaded so I don't really know much yet but it seems to work pretty smoothly for my goal to gain and maintain weight

### 5/5 — Great app, but

*2026-03-01, version 1.6.22*

This is one of the best if not the best nutrient/calorie tracking app I have used. The features are amazing and I love how clean the design is. Also very easy to use.
The only two things I would critique are that I wish it showed how many calories you have left for the day in the total calories. I know you can do the math, but seeing it really puts things into perspective. Also, I do not like how this beta daily score is plastered at the top, front and center. Idc about this random number and I think it’s in the way.

### 5/5 — My Favourite Calorie Tracking App!!

*2026-02-18, version 1.6.21*

I’ve tried multiple different calorie tracking app and this one definitely tops all of them. It helps me be intentional with my food without constantly obsessing over the calories and instead focusing on its nutritional value and benefits for my body. The app is very user friendly and easy to use, I definitely recommend it :)

### 5/5 — great

### 5/5 — Best app to ever!!

*2025-07-23, version 1.6.13*

I love how it not only focuses on calories but also nutrients which is very important to me!

### 5/5 — 12/10

*2025-07-23, version 1.6.13*

OBSESSED with this app rn!! It’s literally a lifesaver if you’re trying to track your calories, macros AND micronutrients (like yes, even your vitamins + minerals?? we love a well-rounded queen).

I’ve used other tracking apps before but they always felt kinda… meh? This one is easy to use, and actually tells you what your body might be missing (like why am I always low on magnesium lmao 💊). It’s been SO helpful during both cut and maintenance phases — I finally feel like I’m in control of my goals without the stress 😮‍💨✨

If you’re on a health kick, trying to glow up, or just wanna be that girl with her nutrition on point, Microgram is 1000% that girl too 🩷

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-07-21, version 1.6.12*

Super easy to track what you eat by just scanning the barcodes or taking a photo with the AI scanner. Game changer for making tracking an everyday habit!
