### 4/5 — Do not end life

*2025-08-04*

This app may be quirky but it is light years better than the web view. Please do not end this app as it is used for EASY access to lists. Web view on a phone is USELESS due to your mandatory header and footer.

### 2/5 — Bog mise à jour

*2025-05-12, version 2.24.1*

### 4/5 — Works good

*2025-04-07, version 2.23.1*

Everything is working good need functionality to edit lookup columns.

### 3/5 — Comments on app

*2025-03-10, version 2.21.5*

Can you please add the ability to view comments on the mobile app?

### 2/5 — Camera editing tools removed.

*2025-02-12, version 2.21.5*

Used to be able crop and rotate images taken directly into a list entry but these have been removed leaving only filters in the side bar.

### 2/5 — Pretty poor experience

*2025-02-07, version 2.21.5*

The web app useful. The rendering and scope for customisation on the iPhone is terrible and makes the app redundant sadly

### 3/5 — Can’t upload pics to list column

*2024-12-28, version 2.20.2*

Help?

### 2/5 — Frequently Crashes

*2024-12-22, version 2.20.2*

It is a great app. On my IPhone 14 running iOS 18.2 (and previously on earlier versions), I have to close and restart the app close to 100% of the time after it becomes unresponsive.

### 2/5 — It’s not updating lists

*2024-12-08, version 2.20.2*

It’s not working please fix the bugs

### 2/5 — Pretty poor experience

*2024-11-26*

The web app useful. The rendering and scope for customisation on the iPhone is terrible and makes the app redundant sadly

### 3/5 — No comments make it useless

*2024-11-12, version 2.19.0*

This is a nice app, but the lack of comments functionality, both view and enter comments, make it useless

### 2/5 — Glitchy and disappointing

*2024-10-07*

Basic functionalities you would expect in an app like this are missing. My main two disappointments with this app: picture attachment will not show, you have to tap it and follow to open it in a browser; secondly there is no such a thing as Board or Gallery view, they all look the same in this app. Long way to go on it.

### 3/5 — Great potential, but glitchy & unreliable photos

*2024-09-13, version 2.18.1*

I started collaborating with colleagues including a column for photos. The photos were only visible to the team when uploaded from my phone (computer uploads weren’t visible to them). Suddenly photos became disabled again (after adding hundreds!). Now the team only sees thumbnail icons. There were a few times they could see the photos in list mode, then when they clicked on the photo they’d see it only momentarily before the thumbnail icon appeared. Another team member tried adding photos and they couldn’t even see the photo they uploaded. It seems only I have that ability. What’s going on? Photos are a crucial component for us, so this is really disappointing.

### 3/5 — Photos in photo column not appearing anymore

*2024-09-12, version 2.18.1*

Great features - if they actually work…

### 2/5 — Extremely buggy. Lacking features & functionality.

*2024-09-04, version 2.18.1*

It seems as though no one at MS actually uses MS apps. I wanted to like this app. I really did. But I just can’t. It’s too broken and has too many bugs. The app crashes or has to be force closed far too often—at least once per session. When it’s not crashing or freezing, it’s glitching constantly (screen flickering, freezing, and not updating). Just now, I cleared the filter from a view and nothing changed. The filter was still applied, though it showed no filter was applied. I had to force close the app and reopen it to get the list/view to update.

The Lists mobile app doesn’t support all column types. Lookup column? Not supported. Calculated column? Not supported. Who thought this was OK? A couple of my biggest gripes with the app—filtering by options in a choice column, rather than being able to select options from the column configuration, it only allows for filtering based on options which have already been selected and which are part of existing list items included in the current view. So, if you have 5 options but only 2 have been selected thus far, you can only filter by those 2 values—because what is planning for the future…? If you add an item with a different status, it will be filtered out of view automatically, which means you will have to change views, clear the filter, and create a new filter. This makes ZERO sense.

Formatting between SharePoint lists and the Lists app on desktop and mobile is AWFUL. Columns formatted in SP don’t work in Lists. Quite often I’ll pick colors for options in a choice field, and once I save, all pills are just black. Other times, it’s just 1-2 pills are black and others have color. It’s extremely frustrating. You can’t change the color of the tiles on the gallery screen in the mobile app. Also, if a list is deleted, it will still show on the gallery screen. When you tap it, it will tell you it’s been moved or deleted. Yet it doesn’t remove it from the list. I don’t know how much MS pays their app developers, but whatever it is, it’s too much.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-07-17, version 2.25.1*

Utterly pointless app, lists display far better in a browser, and very buggy, constantly asks to re login.

### 1/5 — Completely Wasted Opportunity

*2025-06-07, version 2.24.1*

So MS bring out Lists that could have been great and converted thousands of users to Sharepoint, but they leave it half-baked as usual. Zero further development to add features - basic stuff like being able to add a comment on a list item - and now they're scrapping it anyway. The level of joined up thinking at Microsoft has been and remains MORONIC at best.

### 1/5 — Why?

*2025-05-06, version 2.24.1*

Why is it unnecessarily confusing? This app made me angry.

### 1/5 — MS Lists

*2024-12-27, version 2.20.2*

We use ms lists in our hospital for our patients. We put them in different teams.

Whenever I open a diagnosis and procedure field to edit, it does not scroll down to bottom of entry.

Also if I open an entry to overview, it does not scroll down.

I think there is a scrolling issue in ms lists ios app.

I am using ios ms lists app.

There is no reaponse from app feedback section, mocrosoft community and here. Please help.

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2024-12-03, version 2.20.2*

I would really like to use this app more but requiring the use of TestFlight to use it is annoying. Seems like it could be made available to all users by this point in time.

### 1/5 — Contacts lookup

*2024-11-08, version 2.19.0*

This remains all but impossible for a non IT PRO

### 1/5 — Something went wrong

*2024-08-28, version 2.18.1*

Any time I click anything at the moment, I get an error message saying ‘Error - Something went wrong’
… unhelpful and frustrating.

### 1/5 — Lookup columns don’t work

*2024-05-06, version 2.15.6*

Was good until I realised lookup columns don’t work. People have been requesting this for years and years but still nothing. Makes the app useless for me. Really disappointing.

### 1/5 — Can’t do calendar view

*2024-04-23, version 2.15.5*

Can’t view calendar on the app … it says “Column operations are not supported for this view”.

### 1/5 — Board view would be great if you could reorder

*2024-02-24*

Since Planner is not available to personal M365 accounts (a separate complaint), this is the next best thing if you are wanting to use a Kanban board to track personal projects and To Do lists. I was happy to see they included a board view, but it is only available on the web version and there is no way to reorder the list. Priority is typically set by reordering items on a Kanban board so that the topmost is higher priority. This should be a simple feature to add and it should exist in both the web version and the mobile app versions. I'll even write the user story for you. Please add this to your product backlog...

As a user of Microsoft Lists, I require the functionality to rearrange items on a Kanban board to efficiently prioritize tasks. This capability should be accessible both on the web application and the mobile application to ensure seamless productivity across devices.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Bring the app back

*2025-12-14*

This is a great app! Unfortunately, Microsoft discontinued yet another great thing for nothing. There is no other way easily access and manage SharePoint lists on the go from your phone.

Stop stripping away all the good bits and bring back Microsoft Lists.

### 5/5 — Utility on the move

*2025-11-13*

I truly enjoy using this app on mobile — it’s incredibly convenient for business travelers and perfect for quick access to work files on the go. Seeing the retirement notice for November 2025 is genuinely disappointing. Will this functionality continue within Microsoft 365 as an integrated feature or plug-in? I would really prefer for the mobile app to remain available; transitioning everything to another web-based platform is both time-consuming and disruptive.

### 5/5 — Please keep this app!

*2025-11-08*

We use the Lists app every single day for our business. It works ‘much’ better than the browser version. Not even comparible. We use the Lists app on all our devices. Please don’t discontinue this app!

### 5/5 — Please keep it alive

*2025-09-11*

We use the iPhone app all the time and find it to work wonderfully for our business! Please do not turn it off in November. The team’s version is not even close to the app.

### 5/5 — Nooooooo! Don’t do it!!!!

*2025-08-28, version 2.26.0*

This app is sooooo much better than any experience on the mobile web browser, Teams app or SharePoint app. Don’t get rid of it!!

### 5/5 — The best app

*2025-08-28, version 2.26.0*

I use this app for production planning and company management. Can’t believe the getting rid of it

### 5/5 — Do NOT get rid of this app!

*2025-08-24*

Microsoft: do NOT get rid of this mobile app. It is sooo much better than the browser version on mobile. The browser version is terrible. Lists has a LOT of potential and a nice mobile app is a key element.

### 5/5 — Opinion

*2025-08-03, version 2.26.0*

Pleaseeee do not retire the app!! It’s so easy to use and I prefer it over the web version. As an executive assistant in construction pleaseeee do not get rid of the app 😭😭

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-01-23, version 2.20.2*

Not sure why people don’t use this app much. It’s a very great option to keep very complex and structured lists and data. Like it a lot

### 5/5 — truly exceptional in aiding me

*2024-01-27*

This tool is truly exceptional in aiding me with organizing my thoughts, creating boards, and managing calendars. It has proven to be an invaluable asset in calculating task deadlines and determining my areas of focus. I particularly appreciate its assistance in keeping track of retirement paperwork, ceremony dates, and submission deadlines for various documents. The tool has exceeded my expectations thus far, guiding me in laying out a well-structured plan. As I continue to explore its capabilities, I am confident it will continue to greatly benefit me in various ways.
