It’s fast, simple to use, and (in my experience) it’s never been wrong. The mode where you can take a photo of your math problem and get the answer to it in seconds is amazing. This app honestly amazing! It shows the work just in case you still don’t understand. This app made my life turn into depression to happiness. When I didn’t have this app I didn’t understand anything my professor was saying because I get distracted a lot, I had no clue on what to do on my papers, I would always fail and my mother would always get angry for failing which made me feel like a failure in life i could handle her screaming at me. Music was my therapy back then. I always cry every night because of my grades and everything that was happening to me. My best friend moved and didn’t say goodbye to me only to his other friends. My mom would always punish me by taking away my phone therefore i had no music and made my life worst, i would always stay up until 5-7 because i never wanted to wake up in the morning. I loved it when i was alone home. My dad was my favorite, he left me but i still go with him. I love him so much. Once i downloaded this app this cured all of my bad grades and my mom started to become more proud of me. This one has been the best so far! Unlike most calculators, this one provides free explanations on every problem and doesn't require you to spend money at all. It gives you very simple but outstanding steps and generally just lets you have all the information you need. This has completely saved me from wasting time and I really enjoy using it! It’s great and you have options to enter your problem: draw, scan, or type :) there’s step by step which is very helpful and you can even take a quiz that’s based off of the problem you entered. You can write problems with your finger ( or stylist), type them in or take a picture of a problem (haven’t tested the picture on yet) but the first two work great. I had used Math Papa for many years and that was my go to…until they decided that if you want to see the step by step you have to pay a whopping $10 a month. This app shows how they got the answer for free. It amazes me that everyone acts so concerned about the U.S. being behind in math with the rest of the world, but people don’t want to give you good training for free. Kudos to Microsoft (for once) for free learning…that is, not charging to see the step by step solutions. You can type, and draw the equation too, but of course you can take a photo of the problem. For my math homework I was supposed to do my math on a separate piece of paper but I was confused, and this REALLY helped! It’s very accurate and correct! The amount of tools they give you is insane. You can draw your math problem, you can take a picture of it, or you can type it out with their math keyboard. But all of a sudden it just stopped providing any solutions. It does recognize the equation from the photo but then just says “Something wrong happened” (literally) and does nothing. Typing by hand something simple like x + 2 = 3 produces the same result. Well, it’s not “something”, it’s your terrible development quality, let’s just be honest. Reinstalling didn’t help, so moving to another app. Thanks for memories, Microsoft! ### 3/5 — It’s ok *2022-12-25, version 1.0.23* So it’s a great app but sometimes I feel that the results they give really don’t help. I typed in 25x20 (just testing it to see if it works) and obviously it’s 500 but then I scroll down and it showed resources from khan academy like I get they probably thought it was useful but it showed work for different problems. So it’s a great app and all but I feel they can’t use khan academy for every single problem ever. If you see this I suggest when you read that you think long and hard about it. P. S. I hope you all had a great Christmas!🎄🎅🔔❄ ### 3/5 — Wow just wow (not good) *2021-04-23, version 1.0.23* This app failed me when I needed it the most I just don’t understand how it always has a problem loading whether I’m connected to WiFi or using LTE it always gives me trouble I had 30 seconds left on a test and I needed IT TO LOAD FOR ONE QUESTION and all of sudden it acts so freaking stupid IN THE ONE MOMENT I NEEDED THE APP TO WORK THE MOST it’s the most disrespectful thing a math app could do which is not answer the question for you when you need it to. ### 4/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone 6 *2021-10-04, version 1.0.23* The reviews say that it’s a life saver and I installed it on my iPhone 6 and when I take a photo or scan it doesn’t show the result and they gave those samples of scanned photos when I click it simply show the results bar but it’s blank and sorry if my English bad it’s BC I’m typing on a broken iPhone anyways pls fix this issue cause this app looks awesome and I really wanna use it :) ### 4/5 — The Wonders of Microsoft Math *2021-03-08, version 1.0.22* There are several other mathematical apps on the AppStore that seem to help us when it comes to math, but I really enjoy the Microsoft Math app, because learning is NOT stuck behind a paywall. (apps shall not be named!) Microsoft Math has one of the most friendliest looking layouts for a user to navigate through, and is quite the tutor when it comes to mathematics. It can do Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus with great detail on how to solve the problem, and explain it to the user. One thing that I do have to say though is some of the problems aren’t available yet to be solved, and may be included in a future update, but also I have to comment on how simple the app is. The contents within the app don’t necessarily cover the majority of other math subjects, as it just focuses on a general level of the subjects. Regardless, I heavily consider you check this app out, as it will most likely benefit any user that attempts to use it! ### 4/5 — Great but has a problem that NEEDS fixing *2020-11-04, version 1.0.21* This is a great app, I’m a college student and I use it all the time. It can handle complex equations and the graphs give you stuff like the domain, asymptotes, and other things like that that even Desmos doesn’t give you. However, there is one issue that I’ve had with it; whenever an answer is kind of long, it shows it in a small window and it is impossible to scroll to the side to see the whole thing. I often have to use a significant amount of force for it to recognize me trying to scroll. Occasionally the page showing the steps will be blank, or it will get stuck with a random sidebar opened up. Closing and reopening the app fixes it, so, it is still worth it in my view. It’s like a calculator that lets you draw, take photos, of or type the equations, while giving you the steps of solving it, and providing supplementary helpful links. ### 4/5 — Okay *2020-01-24, version 1.0.5* I really love this app over all, but I do have some problems. When I do the Systems of Equations, the formatting for the steps solving the questions becomes wonky. This made my experience worse because it would make it really confusing and difficult to understand. My only issue is that it writes out the equations long ways, instead of stacked, but this is, like I said, a minor issue and is mainly just another way to write it.
