When voiceover is turned off it won’t type so voiceover had to be switched on or nothing happens. I don’t like how it corrects documents either much. I never really liked the last incarnation of Microsoft but at least it came with a disc and therefore a one-off payment unlike now when you’re ripped off every month just because obviously Bill Gates hasn’t screwed us enough yet for money. To be honest, I haven’t really liked Microsoft office since 97/03 when you at least had drop down menus and the ability to change the colour background and text. On my PC, I would have just saved a copy as a PDF and then shared it or attach it my already opened email. For example it can’t tell the difference between read and read (past tense) even with a proverb before or after it. Another example, it has no easy access to change voice. The evolution of the program has been great though for some of us older folks keeping up is a bit daunting especially since as a retiree I don’t use a lot. It’s getting a bit pricey for fixed income seniors but I have tried other word processor programs and MS Word is by far the best. Short feature based training/refresher modules would be nice.
