## What is MicSplit?

Record each wireless microphone to its own separate file.

Connect a multi-track wireless receiver over USB-C and MicSplit captures every transmitter individually — one clean mono WAV per person — instead of the single mixed file you normally get. What arrives on your timeline is what a proper field recorder would have given you.

Built for interviews, podcasts and panels
When two people talk over each other, separate tracks are the difference between a fixable edit and an unusable one. Level one voice without touching the other. Cut a cough from one track and leave the rest alone.

Names that survive the trip
Name each transmitter once and it stays with the audio — in the filename, in the WAV's metadata, and in an iXML track list. Your editor shows "Ava" and "Ben", not "channel 1" and "channel 2".

Straight into your editor
Export a Reaper or Adobe Audition session with every track already laid out and lined up in sync. Or share the raw WAVs and drop them wherever you like. Recordings live in the Files app — nothing is locked in.

Made to be trusted with a take
• 16-bit, 24-bit, or 32-bit float — float is effectively unclippable, so a sudden laugh can be pulled back down in post
• Per-channel meters with held peaks and clip warnings
• Arm only the mics you want; disarmed mics still show levels
• Silent tracks flagged after recording, so a dead transmitter doesn't surprise you later
• Keeps recording when your screen locks
• Multi-track playback with solo and mute

No account, no cloud, no tracking
Everything stays on your device. MicSplit collects nothing and connects to nothing.

Requires a wireless receiver that supports multi-track USB output. In a receiver's default mixed mode you will get a single track — no app can separate voices after they've been combined in hardware.
