Simple to navigate and the easy of placing and checking on Holds is a relief. ### 5/5 — Just like the website!! *2024-05-11, version 2.13.0* I was wondering if Mid Continent had an app, and I was happy to see they did! Ignore the 3 star average, this runs great, just like the Online website! Awesome! ### 2/5 — Still needs MORE improvement *2024-04-03, version 2.13.0* The card number should allow to be added to mobile wallets such as “Apple Wallet” so we don’t need to open the app to get our library card number also. The app is still very slow at pulling results. One of the best features I find on this app is simply it having an option to see all the items the library currently has on order. ### 1/5 — Straight up does not work *2024-04-03* Constant crashing. Both the app and the website are often incapable of loading a simple page. ### 5/5 — Fall 2023 update made it great! *2023-11-30, version 2.13.0* The old app was virtually unusable. The search gave you different and incomplete results compared to the website and it was horribly difficult to navigate. The new update (Fall 2023) makes it so easy to use, search works great, you can click on links within listings to get other books by the same author, loans/holds are easier to see and manage. So pleased with this update. ### 4/5 — Grateful: Much Needed Improvement! *2023-11-01, version 2.12.0* I’m thrilled to see the desperately needed update to this mobile app! It’s soo much easier to navigate, to view the status of checked out items, holds, due dates, and book lists. Searching the catalog is exactly what we’ve needed for years. I deleted the old app because I got soo frustrated with glitches. Thank you to the tech team and staff for investing in a better app for patrons! ### 1/5 — Clunky *2023-01-26, version 1.1.19* Not a user friendly app. My recommendation is just go to the library website on your browser much easier and more informative. I’ll be deleting this app. ### 2/5 — MCPL Please Invest In This App *2022-04-09, version 1.1.18* As a loyal patron, I’ve advocated for MCPL app efficiency for years. I’ve rated and reviewed the app here and on Facebook. The most recent update (~3 or 4 yrs) was a dramatic step in the right direction. But while MCPL has poured millions of dollars into remodeling and building new branch locations (the best in wealthier neighborhoods), very little investment has been made in improving the mobile app experience to include efficiency. As of April 9, 2022, the app freezes up when I try viewing my account or searching the catalog. Library Executives, I implore you to plan, invest in, and execute a more robust and efficient mobile app. ### 5/5 — MCPL On-The-Go!!! *2022-02-25* This app saves me so much time and so many headaches. I’m sure I’m not alone in going about my day, and then thinking, “Hey! I wonder if the library has a book about that?” or, “This book on BookTok looks awesome! I wonder if MCPL has it?” But then, if I’m out of the house, I have to type in everything into my phone browser and hope that I didn’t mistype a number, then wait for it to load uneven and GAH! It’s a hassle to be sure. This app, however, makes it SO easy to check on my holds, place holds, browse the library, and check location times and addresses. This is a very useful app and one of my daily go-to’s. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-01-06, version 1.1.17* This app has no worked for me a single day that I’ve had it.
