False advertising to say stream anywhere. Apparently you cannot. You have to be on your home WiFi network in order to watch anything. I thought the whole point of this app was to be able to watch when you’re not home. What’s the point of this app then? When I’m home, I’m going to watch on the TV. This app is completely useless unless you’re at home which is ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2024-09-14* Won’t work on my iPhone. Tried EVERYTHING. The app opens but when I click on a show to watch, it goes to it and then won’t load it then gives me an out of region error message. You pay hard earned money for a company ‘s access to there services, abd there APP works like trash. Waste of numerous hours once again. Seems like all these BIG companies only understand when everyone cancels there subscriptions. APP IS JUNK!! You should be able to open an app and use it immediately! I'm usually in a hurry and don't have the time to sign into the app when I want to record a show. I would spend $70 on Hulu+Live TV and YouTube TV at the same time, before I ever pay $1 for the Midco TV Experience... My internet is fine. I am correctly logged into the app via my Midco account. I can see my list of recordings. I can see the my favorites guide. But it will not play anything on any of my subscribed channels. It’s been this way for more than a decade. I have deleted and downloaded the app numerous times. How many more years does Midco need to make an app that actually works? **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! For example, one quick option would be to ensure the device you're using is connected to your WiFi and using that connection. Using a cellular network may restrict access, for example. Our MidcoTV app does require that you're on your home network at this time. This allows you to stream your shows on devices that wouldn't normally have access, such as tablets or phones. It also allows control over things like setting up recordings, for example. I have an Apple iPad and iPhone that use single sign on. It also won’t play any previous episodes for any station. I’m switching to YouTube TV. MidcoTV turns any tv into a smart tv and runs very smoothly. The product is still maturing but it has been rock solid for me! ### 5/5 — Genius! *2021-09-30* This is such a genius idea! You can watch live tv, watch your recordings or watch shows that are available on demand. And a lot of them direct you to a net work app, which you get for free with your cable packages! None of the midco apps work Always crashing ### 2/5 — Feels like a beta build *2021-11-04* Sign in is annoying as the app does not take advantage of the iOS TV provider setting or allows auto fill to work. App needs a native sign in page, ditch the superimposed webpage login. As someone with a complex password this drives me nuts and requires me to have a physical copy of my password handy whenever I need to log in. Using the app can also be hit or miss. Sometimes it works flawlessly, other times it skips and stutters or tells me I’m out of my region when selecting channels. For now stick with the cable box provided for the best experience.
