In order to get to safe card to turn off on I have to delete the app and re add it. The same with check deposit. You cannot rely on this app and that’s not okay! ### 2/5 — For Mobile Deposit Only *2023-04-01* The Deposit Check feature does not work as well as it used to - repeated errors that it can’t find my endorsement, that it’s missing the mobile deposit phrase when it’s there. It should not be this fussy! Sometimes it will work after multiple tries but I’ve also given up and had to drive to the bank. The site previously was fantastic, with all info at a glance. Hands down, you had the best banking site. Now you’ve created a look where one must click on various tabs to see all the info one used to see at a single glance - and it isn’t even user friendly. Why anyone would take an excellent site and slash it to a fraction of what it was blows my mind. After taking the back photo it would kick me out to the login screen. This happened 5 times in a row. When I finally was able to get the pictures without being kicked out, it said my deposit attempts had been exceeded. When attempting to take a picture of the check, the view of the image is inconsistent and turned around. Sometimes it corrects itself, sometimes I’m just snapping a few photos until I get it right. The older version was better. Middlesex bank does not offer Zelle. That’s not an “app issue”, the bank itself is just behind the times. ### 1/5 — Force me to upgrade to junk *2020-06-24, version 5.0.5603* Wanted to deposit a check. I was forced to upgrade. Failed to load camera is the error message. Why? The camera works fine for my other apps on iPhone 8. It’s a camera it takes pictures! Does anybody do any testing? ### 1/5 — Photo rotation problem *2020-06-24* In the updated app, Photos of checks are all 90 degrees off an aligning the check with the camera is frustrating. When the camera and check are both in landscape orientation, the image is in portrait orientation and it’s a weird experience getting them lined up on my iPhone. My first mobile deposit was rejected due to poor image quality. ### 1/5 — Horrible Update 6/2020 *2020-06-22, version 5.0.5603* The eDeposit camera is all flipped, making it very difficult to get a good picture of the check. Also, the app frequently crashes when I am trying to submit a picture of the check and brings me back to the login screen. Looks like I am driving to the bank to deposit this check! ### 2/5 — Latest Update *2020-06-17, version 5.0.5603* The eDeposit function in the latest update of the app is very disorienting. The camera is automatically rotated and trying to take a picture of the check while looking at a screen that is rotated perpendicular to the check is frustrating and disorienting. ### 1/5 — Poor technology 1 *2020-02-29, version 4.3.5410* The edeposit app failed on first try, and the edeposit limits? Come on, for people that have to deposit checks those limits are a joke. I’ve used other banks for business and personal use, don’t waste your time here. Have other banking apps that work seamlessly. Edeposit’s have been a continuing frustration. Based on other reviews this appears to be a long going issue. Why it hasn’t been corrected is a mystery to me. Calls me (!) to setup a login, doesn’t register typed characters, then locks the account. Catch up to actual banks. Now because of your “upgrade,” I’ll have to leave Middlesex, and move my banking to Bank of America. It’s far easier—and less costly—to change banks than to replace an iPhone and iPad. Thank you for many years of fine service. ### 1/5 — Check Deposit Almost Unusable *2024-11-26* Check deposit feature is extremely difficult to use, aligning camera on check is near impossible as it registers and moves in random direction when moving the phone and check around.
