After creating a story, there are no choices being generated and every time I write my own, it doesn’t go through. Still eats the pills though, which is extremely annoying. If this is a bug, I suggest you fix it, like, ASAP ### 3/5 — Meh: The Good, Bad, and Ugly Author Editon *2024-07-29* I tried this out as a writer that loves prompts and story boarding and bouncing ideas off other people, so having an app that can cultivate ideas and being them to life is GREAT. What’s good: I like that I can alter any sentence and steer the story any direction I want to go. My author thoughts and hand can still be heavily involved. Dare I say, what’s bad? This isn’t really a bad thing though. Unlike other apps, this tends to try and write it ALL for you. Ending the story doesn’t happen when you prompt it to, and so, you’ll have to steer and then take it over completely to get it there. It won’t acknowledge that it’s the end though. The Ugly: You can’t use the app to write. You can only write from the webpage. You can’t export your guided creations. Instead, there’s a link that brings you to the webpage of the story. There’s really no incentive to write stories pr create although I’ve paid to do so. So, why did I pay to not be able to really do anything other similar apps allow authors to do? Moreover, characters aren’t diverse. That’s a red flag for me as a creator. Writing things had always been something I have wished to do, and the app had helped me tremendously, excreting ideas into my head. This ai allows you to start off simple with your ideas, and build off it, which I really am fascinated and happy about. It is great practice for story writing later on. The ai even has great memory! Even with the great benefits, there comes flaws towards the app. The story telling, and how it’s portrayed is incredible, however, the ai fails to be able to describe like an author, the actions, or the 5 senses. Even as the creativity the ai may bring to the plot, it doesn’t imply detail throughout the story. So it is suggestible that the ai shouldn’t be used for description practice. Just one more major problem I have identified, is that the ai can fail to identify how the creator, or author wishes to build off the plot. What I mean by this, is to say for example you write a story about action, where someone wants to achieve something. The ai fails to identify how long the user wants the story to be, therefore immediently skipping towards the conclusion. Even as picky as I write, as an app itself, it had been very impressive, and has surpassed my expectations. Even if it cannot write a human standard story, it shows significant progress in what is more to come.
