Also the shipment and order processing feature is very far behind. Overall the app looks good, and the UI is well made, but the actual functions of the app feel like it hasn’t been updated since 2010. ### 4/5 — 4/5 *2026-04-16, version 5.2.1* Great app but sometimes it doesn’t load but other than that it’s amazing ### 3/5 — Can’t login, just use website I guess. *2025-05-27, version 5.0.6* Finally updated the app, and it won’t let me log into my account. The login email and password work on the website, but the app says there’s an issue with the email or password. ### 3/5 — I miss the old version already. Why can’t I empty the cart? *2025-03-25, version 5.0.4* Like I said in the title. I miss the old version. It was easier to navigate the search and new releases list format. With the new one, only a set number of results show up. When it reaches the bottom, it doesn’t extend to next 10 items automatically, like eBay. With the older one, I was able to go to DC, Marvel or Independents separately instead of a whole stream where, when you go to the end of the ten items, you have to tap the load more tab. Every. Friggin. Time. Now I have to scroll through all the DC Dynamite, IDW and Image books to get to Marvel. Now there is no option to empty cart. I have to hit remove for each item. ### 3/5 — Issues Signing In *2025-03-16, version 5.0.3* The app’s look is great and closely mirrors the website. My issue with the app is that I am trying to sign in and it won’t let me. It keeps saying enter password yet when I go to website I have no issue. It was suppose to be an issue every two months. He receive one issue in April - thats it. By now 2 other issues never arrived. I contacted Midtown. After getting the runaround i was told the missing issues woukd be resent - but it might take 120 day (four months) to arrive. I feel like my payment is lost and Midtown doesn’t take customer service seriously. ### 1/5 — Account balance *2026-05-03, version 5.2.3* I downloaded the app. Been buying a few years. Today my issue is adding account balances. Currently mine is $ 34.óó. It is that high because it never asks if i want to use credits. Today i really needed it. Tried on the website, tried on the midtown app, opened up Google Chrome app, i wish this could be addressed. One time i had to contact customer service to get it. ### 1/5 — Customer Service Lacking… *2026-02-18, version 5.1.5* Glitches in App, Errors with Order, Customer Service takes Weeks to reply & illogically insists they can’t fix my current order charging me the Wrong Amount, only offer a discount on a future order. What business runs like this? Midtown used to be a lot better years ago, but something seems to have gone awry. And they don’t seem concerned about fixing all the Other glitches I noted about their app & website… ### 1/5 — Warning *2025-11-23, version 5.1.5* This is a warning based on my experience. I pre-ordered several items and was charged right away. It’s now been three months past the expected delivery date, and nothing has arrived. I called and emailed support over a month ago. Even though I have provided the order numbers and specific items ordered, they haven’t shipped. Their reply is “our team is currently looking into this issue. While we cannot provide specifics due to the complexity of the issue, it stems from a technical error that the team is currently patching.” They’ve been investigating and patching for over a month. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before ordering until they can demonstrate better communication and fulfillment. ### 1/5 — Scam Coupons *2025-04-23, version 5.0.4* They sent me a 25% off coupon to “comeback” and buy some comics since I had not purchased any in awhile. When I reviewed my order the coupon was present but after the transaction the total I paid had changed. They had removed the coupon. Now, I am having to have my bank tell the card company it was a fraudulent transaction. DO NOT fall for any coupons or specials from midtown! They will just rip you off. ### 1/5 — Cannot login on app *2025-03-28, version 5.0.4* Since the latest app update, I cannot log into the app. Get a Login failed message. Login works fine via the mobile site on safari. ### 1/5 — No shipping method *2024-10-22, version 3.2.19* App doesn’t allow you to choose a shipping method! ### 1/5 — Cannot log on *2024-08-13, version 3.2.19* Would you believe I’ve waited years for an account fix? I messaged technical support about an issue accessing my account on the app probably 2 years ago now and after they attempted to resolve it they said it would be escalated. I’ve emailed asking for an update probably every week initially but spreading out to every few weeks since. After a while they stopped responding to my inquiries on what the issue was and when it would be fixed. I would have at least preferred at “due to xyz reason we cannot resolve this issue” response but it looks like that’s not happening. Unfortunately they still get money from me as otherwise navigating on the laptop is still more convenient than my local comic book store. ### 1/5 — Shipping to high *2024-05-27, version 3.2.19* I wanted to preorder for July 2024, 3 comic books and the shipping was 16.29! Are you kidding you guys are in NYC and I’m in Connecticut right next door and charging me 16 dollars and change and other comic book website doesn’t charge that much and that was a 2 day shipping and others sites are 2 day shipping that cost 6 or 7 bucks so that’s ridiculous well I’ll pass on that for sure.
