### 3/5 — App constantly needs to reload

*2026-04-14, version 3.7.14*

I love everything about this app, except it has one critical issue: if you leave the app for more than a minute or so, it restarts; meaning each time I open the app you need to go through a series of loading screens and lose the dice selection you previously had.

My process:
1. Open the Mighty Dice app
2. Unity splash screen (2-3s loading time)
3. blank black loading screen (also 2-3s)
4. Make some dice rolls
5. Switch to another app for a minute or two (or put my phone down)
6. Go back to the Mighty Dice app
7. Repeat steps 2-7

### 4/5 — Great app. Needs adv/disadv with modifiers

*2026-01-26, version 3.7.14*

This app is really solid and I love the ability to save and name specific dice rolls. I ONE gripe is that I don’t have the ability to save an advantage roll with a modifier. It wouldn’t bother me it it weren’t for the fact that this has a dedicated advantage option built in, but I’d really like to save specific modifiers with advantage/disadvantage rolls

### 3/5 — Lack of options

*2025-12-03, version 3.7.14*

There should be throw strength or shake kind of options. Sometimes rolls slow and getting clump so many times. Also accelerometer not working correctly it just rolling random strength. It’s not changing how hard shake your phone or throw wall. Pretty please solve this issues

### 4/5 — Great App, just one flaw…

*2025-09-06, version 3.7.0*

I love this app, it has very few ads and the ones it does have do not interrupt game play. Fun color options and a lot of personalizable features which is great for my ocd. The combination of the preset feature being save over the long term and also having bonuses and multiple dice makes it the best way I have found to manage wildshape. Just one thing about it though, you cant roll advantage or disadvantage on presets, it would be great to have that optional feature as well as some sort of folder system to organize the presets. Regardless, I love this app so much ❤️❤️❤️

### 4/5 — Works Amazingly Well

*2025-04-22, version 3.7.0*

Please Please add % die as an option when creating presets! Would make this app five stars! Worth the 3$ fee for no adds! Love the skin options! Please add % to presets!

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-01-03, version 3.6.0*

Not working on IPhone 15

### 5/5 — Unanimous

*2024-11-16, version 3.5.4*

Great quality is all I have to say go magma skin

### 5/5 — Best dice app I have seen.

*2024-11-12, version 3.5.4*

I’ve been using this app for a very long time.

It simulates rolling RL dice better than anything out there.

I’m glad to see an update & that the developer hasn’t abandoned it.

Top marks, all around.

### 4/5 — Almost great - missing options essential to non-D&D players

*2024-11-12, version 3.5.4*

One thing costing it that fifth star.

Not everyone plays D&D.

Some of us play Star Wars D6, and need one die to look different as a Wild.

Before too long, quite a few of us are going to be playing Daggerheart, and need two differently-themed D12s for Hope and Fear.

### 5/5 — Extreme lack of pink.

*2024-11-09, version 3.5.3*

I honestly really enjoy this. I love the haptics, and the ability to shake your device to roll, it’s very fun. I have one request… Pink. Pink dice. Please. I beg of you. The skins are really cool, but the absolutely unacceptable lack of pink makes me want to cry. Please add more pastel colours. I would be eternally grateful.

### 3/5 — No longer works

*2024-11-08, version 3.5.3*

Update broke it. A splash screen alone isn’t useful. Looking forward to patch

### 5/5 — Really Enjoyable

*2024-11-08, version 3.5.3*

I really love this app it’s one of the best dice apps out , the only dice it’s missing is the d100 now 😂. But for a future update would it be a way for you to roll on this app and get a message on discord or something cause I love this app but my players be trying to be sneaky with their rolls other than that it’s a really amazing app

### 5/5 — Дайсы из мела - потрясающие!

*2024-11-07, version 3.5.3*

Отличные анимации и скины для костей. Удивлен, что так мало отзывов. Был бы рад добавлению d100!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Add Ruin the Fun

*2026-04-01, version 3.7.14*

Imagine being in a intense high stakes session and you resort to your handy dice app for a quick roll when you can’t find your D20 anywhere- and then the app decides to pop a 30+ second ad in your way before you can even roll a dice. Yea, I’m good. It should have been enough that this app promoted their website to bug the real dices, but nah, on top of that you get those lame ahh ads where you gotta play a version of candy crush to save the King’s life before the rock crushes him. On top the next dice app.

### 1/5 — Data siphon

*2026-03-13, version 3.7.14*

I downloaded this app just to write this review. Call me paranoid or whatever, but I don’t know why a dice rolling app needs to track so much data, like my location, identifiers, etc.

I did try the app. It’s really fun, and there’s even a thoughtful head tracking stereo (or more) image with the AirPods. Well designed app for real.

It’d easily make a 5 star review if we could get the data tracking situation improved.

### 1/5 — I can’t buy the app. What gives.

*2025-11-03, version 3.7.13*

The app won’t let me purchase :(

### 1/5 — Not random

*2025-01-27, version 3.6.0*

Three 4s and Two 7s in 7 rolls. Not random, and not fair. Garbage app.

### 1/5 — App is now unusable after the most recent update

*2025-01-21, version 3.6.0*

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it will eventually stop working i.e. it will crash as soon as I try to open it. This happened after the latest update. I was also about to pay for it a while back but then they suddenly tripled the price. Otherwise it would have been a great tool if you don’t have real physical dice available

### 1/5 — Update Ruined Designs + Textures

*2024-12-01, version 3.5.4*

Echoing what another commenter said - the new update and collab with unity not only decreased texture quality for dice designs - but removed all of the old designs people loved.

Weird to make this change and not address it. I’m still looking for another app to use and will be happy to recommend here that if things remain the same

### 1/5 — Bring back the old designs! It’s a clear downgrade

*2024-10-31, version 3.5.3*

I have owned this app for years and have always been a fan of the designs, however after this update all the designs I previously fell in love with have been replaced by counterparts that are less than stunning, while before I considered saying anything at all after checking the textures it is clear that the quality has gotten far worse, please add an option to use old dice designs as the new ones feel very dead or upscaled incorrectly, ect, even lacking previous depth,

Ive later showed before and after photos and the difference is massively clear that the quality of the app has drastically declined going from stunning visuals to extraordinarily flat, even the numbers got harder to read and feel as if they were just tacked on like it was typed in the most basic font where as before they fit the shape of the dice and were bold and easy to read, I request some changes or considerations as a setting to change back to the old dice, even the selection screen was far better instead of a flat menu we could see it turn and it made the experience so magical before! But now it feels completely soulless! Please, I care about this type of app even though it’s such a simple one, before I recommended it to my tabletops but now after this it’s completely fallen out of favor with all my groups from the lack of design!

### 1/5 — Looks pretty, not much else

*2023-07-15, version 3.3.1*

Difficult to add modifiers, impossible to add multiple dice, as far as I can tell, which is ridiculous for an app for D&D.

### 1/5 — Eats your battery like a pig

*2022-07-12, version 3.3.1*

This is an awesome displayed dice roller when it comes to graphics rumble and sound. However, you can actually watch your battery percent drop every couple of seconds this thing is on. Fix that and it a 5 star app. But, spending 3/4 of my entire battery is not worth the beauty of the roll.

### 2/5 — Crashes and generally not worth it

*2025-09-01, version 3.7.0*

Cool but not worth trouble shooting for 3 hours

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great dice roller app

*2026-04-16, version 3.7.14*

Please add Super Advantage, and include it + normal advantage/disadvantage in saved rolls

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2026-02-28, version 3.7.14*

Simple. Effective. The various skins are cool. I use it a lot.

### 5/5 — Pink Please!

*2026-02-02, version 3.7.14*

I have to agree, this is a great app. The dice are beautiful and the animations look so cool (the sound is perfect!) But we need some pink dice skin options

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-10-01, version 3.7.0*

The only thing I can think of is have you thought about adding a D100?

### 5/5 — Request

*2025-09-20, version 3.7.0*

Love the app
But can you guys PLEASE add a D100 dice option?

The D100 in real life doesnt roll right lol

### 5/5 — Super cool app!

*2025-04-12, version 3.7.0*

I’ve been using this for a while and it’s gone from “rolls dice” to one-stop solution. The only thing missing is a D3, which I need for some homebrew stuff.

### 5/5 — Love and even better with updates

*2025-02-05, version 3.7.0*

Love the improved interface making it easier to add dice. Developer really listens to and acts on feedback. My favorite dice rolling app by far.

### 5/5 — Why

*2025-01-29, version 3.7.0*

Edit: They fixed it…woohoo!!!!!

They took a way the ability to just sit and reroll…you now HAVE to select a new/same dice EVERY time before you reroll…UUUUGGGGHHHHH …this helped me so much when I wait in line and need something to do or I am trying to remain patient

### 5/5 — Wonderful update

*2025-01-29, version 3.7.0*

Great for what I need (reroll dice, 1-2 when I roll a character) quick copy to the clipboard and easy to delete the history of reroll. I use two dice rolling apps one for quick rolling of many dice and this app

### 5/5 — Love except for the update

*2024-12-13*

Hello. I think this is a great app and I like that you added a d2. I don’t like that now there’s an add for dice when I open the app. I feel like I paid for the app so I would like to be able to skip it with a click or turn it off in the settings. Also, I miss the old textures. My favorites are gone.

Edit: Thank you for the extra thorough response explaining the changes. My most favorite was the darkest die. Maybe it was darker, or the numbers brighter? But your update does look good. I especially appreciate that you’re going to do something about the long loading screen. 🙏

**Developer response:** Hello, thanks for the feedback! That's a very fair point about the new loading screen feeling like an advertisement now. I'll publish a change to simplify the loading screen soon.

As for missing the old textures, I might need further details or info on what you mean. All of the same dice skins are still available - none of them were removed. Were you able to scroll through all of the dice skin options?

Here's a response I gave to similar reviews that hopefully helps:

- (1) There was a bug introduced that downgraded everyone's graphics level to "Low" in the main settings screen of the app. This greatly reduces texture and lighting quality for older phones or anyone who prefers to save on battery life while using the app. This regression was fixed in the latest update, but you still might need to manually open the app settings and select "Medium" or "High" for GFX quality. This should help improve some of the issues you're seeing.

- (2) The previous dice designs were built with a deprecated version of the Unity game engine. Due to Apple and Google requirements (mainly around new security requirements), I was at risk of Mighty Dice being removed from the app stores unless I upgraded the app. This forced me to upgrade to a newer version of Unity, which broke all of the previous dice skin designs and post processing effects and forced me to reimplement all of it from scratch. I did my best to recapture the same look and feel, but couldn't quite match it perfectly (some skins more than others).

- (3) None of the previous skins were removed. All of the existing skins are still available. They might just look a little different due to the reasons above.

- (4) I just published an update that hopefully improves the colors, overall look of the dice, and numbers on the dice. Once you've updated to the latest version, please let me know if there are any specific skins you aren't happy with and I'll see what I can do to improve/fix it. You can email me directly at: thecalebjacob@gmail.com - thanks!
