## What is Migraine Tracker & Journal?

Migraine Journal is a fast, private migraine tracker and migraine diary built for real life.

Log a migraine in about 20 seconds. Track pain, symptoms, triggers, medication, duration, pain location, and all-clear days without creating an account.

See patterns over time, understand how barometric pressure and weather may affect your migraine risk, and export a clear report to share with your doctor.

Your entries stay on-device and in private iCloud. No ads, no account, and no selling of health data.

WHY YOU’LL STICK WITH IT

• Fast logging when you are in pain
• A simple symptom tracker and pain diary
• Weather and barometric-pressure insights
• Trigger and medication patterns
• Doctor-ready PDF reports
• Unlimited free migraine and all-clear logs

THE DAILY LOG

Open the app and move through six quick steps:

• Severity — choose your pain level on a simple 0–10 scale
• Pain location — tap the head diagram to mark where it hurts
• Symptoms — track aura, nausea, light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, dizziness, fatigue, and more
• Triggers — log sleep, stress, food, weather, hormonal changes, screen time, dehydration, and other possible triggers
• Context — add start time, duration, medication, and whether it helped
• Review — check a clean summary before saving

COUNT THE GOOD DAYS TOO

No migraine today? Tap “All Clear Today.”

All-clear check-ins show symptom-free days, improve trends, and make trigger insights more meaningful.

INSIGHTS THAT MATTER

Insights appear only after you have enough entries to make them useful.

See:

• Your last 30 days at a glance
• Number of attacks and pain days
• Average severity
• Trends compared with the previous 30 days
• Severity over time
• Trigger correlations with Migraine Journal Plus
• Medication effectiveness with Migraine Journal Plus
• Monthly summaries and long-term history

Migraine Journal helps you notice patterns in your own data. It does not diagnose migraines or recommend treatment.

WEATHER, MEDICATION, AND REPORTS

Migraine Journal Plus shows a simple daily weather-risk view based on local forecast and barometric-pressure changes. This is not a diagnosis or a guarantee that a migraine will happen.

Record which medication you took, when you took it, and whether it helped. Over time, Plus can summarize medication effectiveness and frequent medication logging.

Create a clear PDF report for any date range. Reports can include attack frequency, severity, duration, symptoms, triggers, medication use, and trends to bring to a doctor or neurologist.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.6 — 2026-09-02

Exporting your raw data is now free for everyone. Your entries belong to you — you no longer need Plus to download them.

### 1.8.5 — 2026-09-01

Migraine Journal is now available in German. Plus small fixes under the hood — nothing changes in how you log, and everything you have already recorded stays exactly as it is.

### 1.8.4 — 2026-08-31

A maintenance update — small fixes under the hood. Nothing changes in how you log, and everything you have already recorded stays exactly as it is.

### 1.8.3 — 2026-08-25

Duration tracking — the piece this app was missing.

Start a timer when a migraine begins and close it out when it lifts, so the length is measured instead of guessed hours later. While it runs it stays on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and a new Attack timer widget puts it on your Home Screen.

The payoff is in Insights: how long your attacks actually run, your longest one, and the length that's most common for you. It reads everything you have already logged — not only the attacks you time from here on.

Forget to stop a timer? The app notices and asks when the attack really ended, instead of quietly filing a three-day migraine that would skew your averages.

Also fixed: weekday names in Dutch and French Insights started with a lowercase letter, and the full history screen could come up empty.

### 1.8.2 — 2026-08-19

Migraine Journal now speaks Dutch and French — the whole app, not just the App Store page. Set your iPhone to either language and it switches over.

Two fixes from that work land for everyone: the back button in the log flow used to be announced by VoiceOver as "Left," which is confusing in an app that asks which side of your head hurts, and the severity legend in the doctor report no longer clips its longest label.
