Most of things that work are free from other sources. I was hoping to be able to open the app and see reports and or updates. This is the best aggregation of weather data for the advanced to the layperson. It is my go-to source our weather checks especially June through November. For some reason it stopped working and I got an error message so I deleted the app and reinstalled it with this one. It is nothing like what the old app was. It’s not user-friendly and doesn’t show as much or give as much as the previous Mike’s weather page did. All other apps tell you if there are fees required or in app purchases. ### 1/5 — Glorified linktree *2024-10-07, version 2.2* Dowloaded this app hoping that it would help me access computer models from an original source but basically it’s a linktree that takes you to Levi Cowan’s Tropical Tidbits webpage. All the credit should go to Levi, not Mike. So my advice is that instead of downloading this app, just put tropicaltidbits.com into your web browser and you’ll get the same stuff without having to download this app and register an account. Also, the account registration is ridiculous and unnecessary when all this app does is take you to another website. ### 1/5 — Requires precise geolocation *2024-07-01, version 2.2* This app refuses to run without precise geolocation… not for weather advisory, but for marketing. This app leaves a huge number of advertising cookies when it runs and precisely geolocates you for ad databases like Adsense .
