## What is Mikoyi?

Some days just don't end. You're home, but your brain's still at work — still replaying the meeting, still rereading the message, still dreading tomorrow.

"Don't check email after six." "Leave it at work." You've heard it. You've tried it. It doesn't hold. Your brain doesn't take orders — it takes a ritual.
Mikoyi is five quiet minutes at the end of your day. Not a therapist. Not a mood tracker. A place to set the day down so it stops running in your head at 1am.

Five minutes. Then the day's done.
Say what stood out — type it, tap a mood, or say it out loud. See it named back: no advice, no "have you tried quitting," just what was hard and what's actually yours to carry into tomorrow. Then set it down.
Throw it away. Keep the evening.
Some nights are so bad you don't want the words to exist. So burn it. Crush it. Smash it. Watch it come apart in your hands — then watch it take its place in your sky. You can throw away what you wrote without throwing away that you showed up.
Every evening you set down becomes a star.
Not a score. Not a streak that punishes you. Just a record of every night you came back — and it only ever grows. Miss a week, miss a month; the sky is exactly as full as you left it.

It keeps track, so you don't have to.
It notices who keeps coming up — that Priya's been in three of the last five evenings — offered gently, as a question you can wave away. When something's finally done, you set that down too, and it stops following you around.
The week has a shape.
Who came up the most. Which nights sat heaviest. What eased by Friday. A short, honest look back — then you set the week down too.
Some things won't go down until you've worked them out. (Max)

Talk it out — say it aloud, and it already knows what you told it Tuesday. Rehearse the 1:1 you're dreading. Decode the message you've reread nine times, and write the reply you won't regret at 2am.

Mikoyi isn't therapy and won't replace real help. If work is reaching your sleep, your body, or your sense of self, please talk to someone who can.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-07-18

Some days just don't end. Mikoyi got quieter and sharper.

• Reflections that name the thing underneath — not just play your day back
• Throw a night away when you don't want the words to exist: burn, crush, shatter, or let it drain — then watch it take its place in your sky
• Redesigned Role-Play — name anyone you've been turning over, or rehearse with an archetype first
• Nine palettes, light or dark. The ground stays yours.
• A warmer, more human voice throughout

### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-13

Every evening you set down is now a star. Your sky grows with your practice and never shrinks — miss a week, miss a month, it's exactly as full as you left it.

New ways to end the night: set the day down and watch your words gather into light — or release it entirely (crush, burn, shatter, drain) for the nights you don't want to keep. Either way, the evening still counts.

Your Week is a new tab: your whole sky, and a constellation drawn from the evenings you closed.

Mikoyi notices who keeps coming up — gently, as a question you can wave away.

Lighter to start: one-tap moods, voice notes anywhere, guided prompts when the page is blank.

Weekends now work. Sunday-night dread is real.

Plus a palette picker, a new constellation logo, and a lot of quiet repairs.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-10

Setting the day down should feel like something.
The end of your ritual is new. Instead of a single tap, you now get a real moment to land before you let the day go:
Box breathing — follow the orb around a slow square, four counts each side. A quiet way to wind down when you're mostly settled.
A grounding close — on the nights you're still wound up, a few gentle prompts to bring you back into the room, out of your head.
Mikoyi asks how you're landing — and gives you the close that fits the night.
We also made the reflections and conversations sharper and more personal under the hood — less hedging, more actually saying the thing.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-30

Some days have more than one thing in them.
Check in as many times as you need. Add a fresh check-in whenever something lands on you, come back to earlier ones, and set each down on its own — no waiting for tomorrow.
Carry a check-in into a conversation. When one thing needs more than setting down, continue it straight into Let's Talk — Mikoyi already knows what you wrote, so you don't start over.
A calmer close to your week. The Friday weekly reflection now ends the same way your days do — with the orb, not a button.
Plus a quieter, steadier app under the hood.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-06-20

This update lets the ritual go deeper — and quietly fixes a lot beneath the surface.

• Check in more than once a day. Some days have more than one thing in them. You can now add a fresh check-in any time, return to earlier ones, and set each down on its own.
• Continue a check-in in Let's Talk. When one entry needs more than setting down, carry it straight into a conversation — Mikoyi already knows the thread, so you never have to re-explain.
• Reflections name what you're carrying more precisely — and only ever reflect what's actually there, never putting words in your mouth.
• Detangle feels more natural — it stays closer to what you actually said while you talk a knot through.
• Your weekly look-back now arrives Friday evening and meets you honestly, even on the quiet weeks. No more "missed days" — showing up is what counts.
• A warmer moment before each reflection, honoring that you came back — however the week went.
• Streaks and your week now count correctly wherever you are in the world, and the app is steadier on launch.

Small, careful changes — the kind we care about.
