## What is Mil?

Mil-Dot Ranger turns your smartphone into a precision ranging assistant for hunters, competitive shooters, and long-range rifle enthusiasts. If your scope uses a mil-dot or MOA reticle, you already have everything you need to estimate the distance to any target in the field — this app does the math instantly, so you can focus on the shot.

Simply select a target from the built-in library or enter your own size, read how many mils (or MOA) the target spans in your scope, and Mil-Dot Ranger returns your line-of-sight distance in yards or meters. For uphill or downhill shots, enter the slope angle or let the phone's built-in inclinometer measure it automatically — the app applies the rifleman's rule and displays a corrected "hold for" distance alongside your straight-line range.
