It took me 6 months to get a replacement unit which came without a filter or the right power cord. Contacted the company and they told us there’s no way to fix it or troubleshoot it. They gave us a 20% off coupon to purchase another one. We didn’t. It’s too bad they can’t refurbish it. Seems like a waste of resources/materials. While we were using the unit we did love it and found the info it provided very helpful. ### 2/5 — Questionable reliability *2026-05-07, version 2.0.1* Mila advertises their air purifiers as "smart," but my experience so far has me questioning. In the app, there are conflicting air change values. For example, in one section it will show 9 air changes per hour at the current fan speed, and in another section it will show 3.2 air changes per hour at the same fan speed; neither of these values matches the value shown on the purifier’s display. Additionally, sometimes the air purifier does not respond to the fan speed adjustments made in the app. Overall, a very unreliable app for a purported smart device. *UPDATE: Contacted Mila’s support; they were not helpful. They were already aware of the issue, but they have not fixed or resolved it—I’ll update this review if/when they resolve the app issues. ### 2/5 — Questionable reliability *2026-05-01, version 2.0.1* Mila advertises their air purifiers as "smart," but my experience so far has me questioning. I do NOT recommend Mila Air. ### 1/5 — New update is horrible *2026-03-05, version 2.0.1* Why did you change what worked perfectly fine. The new firmware and app updates are horrible. The Mila runs way too loud and now it doesn’t even count the air changes per day anymore. It’s stuck at 0/60. I have 2 Milas and they both have the same issue. ### 1/5 — Decent but resets all the time *2026-02-28, version 2.0.1* Updating my review - every app update it gets worse and worse. The air purifier is good, but the app resets all the settings at least once a week. So I have to log in, and switch everything back. I won’t buy another one of their purifiers just because of this glitch. With the old app, I could hear it adjusting through out the day to meet the goals. Now it just runs all the time at the same speed like a cheap fan. It also ignores my sleep schedule. Air filters are terribly made. I bought 6, so far 2 have died and 2 have become so noisy that I can’t use them. These have poor quality fans and the bearings go bad. I’ve already had 2 replacements through Mila and one of those caught fire and started smoking. It used to be perfect before, minimal airflow but silent. Now the lowest profile just turns off the Mila fan most of the time, and the next most quiet setting is louder than before. So I cannot use the automatic anymore, instead I have to set it to 10% manual mode, and manually having to switch between modes as needed. 2/ the Mila units around my house (I have 4) often lose connection and require a hard restart 3/ location air quality alerts keep being sent to my phone even though I turned off these alerts, so I keep getting useless ozone alerts every day 4/ the location in the app cannot be specified by zip, only through gps. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — By far the best, if I had more rooms, I’d have more units! *2026-05-13, version 2.0.1* Not sure why you’d look elsewhere, but I have had (and regretfully still do) other “premium” air filters and Mila air filters blow them away for a number of reasons. Starting from the top, and rare these days, customer service. They recognize brand loyalty. It’s been years and they still care for my needs for all four (yes four) of the devices we have on our home. As for quality, we’ve gone through massive wildfire smoke issues, horrible AQIs, post home construction, you name it, and these Milas made all of those experiences much better than anyone else we’ve known. I love them. The app is amazing, the physical unit, the sensors and bells and whistles. Everything is excellent. I now have three, a mini and two Mila 2’s. I have had motor bearing noise a few times and support replaced them for me, far outside the warranty window, with no questions asked. Their customer support is top notch and they care about their customers to make exceptions to warranty rules to make things right. Not too many companies do that. Thanks to all of the Mila team members that go above and beyond. I have just finished setting it up and it’s awesome! So many thoughtful modes which I haven’t had before. I’m so happy with this it’s the best air purifier I’ve ever had by miles! I would love the option to be able to have the display permanently lit during the day and it goto sleep when in sleep mode. This might be just me still exploring. If you have a pet, you definitely have to get the filter that is good to have with pets “The critter” and I love how it comes a sock to put on the outside to help. Keep the filter lasting longer that you can wash periodically. I’m actually thinking about getting a smaller one that they have out now that I can put in our bedroom! My first one lasted almost 6-7 years, and just bought two more. They have the best support staff, I am not kidding when I say: I have not experienced a better one in my life. Responsive, understanding and courteous. Honestly, it’s the best looking air filter out there and also hooks up digitally to your phone with all sorts of metrics and controls.
