I have the background refresh enabled for this app and location services set to Always. The app has issues related mostly to connecting to my car and auto-detecting when I’ve started driving. Majority of the time, even though my phone connects to my car just fine, the app fails to see that it is. I’m constantly having to go into settings on the app, tracking > Bluetooth and disable and re-enable just so that it’ll connect. Besides that, I can have the app running, start driving and somewhere between 20-25 mph, it’s supposed to start recording mileage. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. It is so inconsistent. AND, when it does work, once you’ve arrived at your destination and want to stop recording, it, it’s states along the lines that you have to disconnect the device from your car. It is stuck on the one screen and you cannot disconnect using the app. I have to turn my car off. What if I don’t want to turn car off nor disconnect my phone from car? Would it kill the devs to provide a way to force the app to stop recording? This is a design oversight and should be common sense to have implemented from the start. So very frustrating. Glad there’s a trial and not wasting my money. On a good note, the subscription plans are reasonable and probably the better one compared to others. What I did find funny is that going with 6-month plan twice is 1 cent cheaper than the 1-yr plan. Really, the 1-yr plan should be slightly cheaper per month than the 6-month plan. Another oversight with this company. Anyways, I’d rather pay a higher cost for another app if I know it actually works more consistent than this one. Maybe I’ll revisit this app in another year or two to see if it’s improved, but for now, I’m going to look elsewhere. Sorry devs. It’s just not ready. ### 4/5 — Some stuff missing *2026-04-12, version 2.3.7* Great app but how does it know what mpg your car is? ### 3/5 — Simple to use but couldn’t get it to work *2025-01-14, version 2.2.5* I really liked how easy to use this app was, and how you could manually edit a route later if it was wrong. I could never get it to track my drives automatically, and even my manually tracked drives would only record intermittently even with the phone on the dash, app running. ### 3/5 — Hit and miss *2024-02-06, version 2.1.1* Good concept for an app but accuracy isn’t quite there and it drains the battery pretty quick if you turn on the background tracking. All I have to do is batch check them all to business kms. My issue is a just recently updated the app and it deleted all the previous financial years worth of kms and I’m in the middle of doing my taxes for last financial year. There’s no where I can see to contact the developers via email or call to try and figure out what happen. Right here on the App Store is my best bet to reach them I don’t even know the real name of the app tbh I couldn’t find a website or anything online ### 4/5 — Best I have tried *2023-04-06, version 1.8.9* I have used about every mileage tracker in the App Store and this one is the best and I really like how everything is laid out. The interface of the program is unique and really works well. A lot of the trackers I have tried work good one day and not the next. This one seems the most consistent of the bunch. I highly recommend it. Looks cool at first, like it would be easy to log mileage. But, no. I won’t be renewing the subscription. ### 2/5 — For me it’s just not reliable :( *2022-07-25, version 1.8.0* The support has been good, the devs are quick to respond but for me after 6 months of trialing I have just not found the app to reliably track all my trips. While it seems to be ok using a Bluetooth connection missing only a few trips in 5 months and having only a few dropouts where the journey misses maybe 15km and draws a straight line in the map, since I switched to a CarPlay enabled stereo I have missed many trips randomly. The consensus from the dev is the stereo is at fault but I suspect something else is going on but haven’t time to dig. Also, the app cannot log trips if you have no phone reception even tho gps is available which makes it a bit useless in central Australia where days are missed and needs to be manually logged. While the suggestion from the dev to manually enter trips is fair, my old paper and pen didn’t cost $7 a month to use so for me I’ll be switching back to a simple and reliable method. ### 2/5 — Battery Drain *2021-09-26, version 1.5.5* Automatically recording trip is great and the UI really simple, but it’s been a battery drain ever since being installed. I used to get 36 hours out of a charge, now I struggle to get 12 hours use of the phone. Only way round this is to manually record trips, which makes the app pointless ☹️ ### 4/5 — Brilliant App *2021-09-12, version 1.5.4* This really is a fantastic app. I’ve searched for many instances to find an app that actually records as accurately as this one, but on the odd occasion it has a missed recording a trip but not very often. Obviously if you check your log every few days it shouldn’t be too hard to add one in manually if it has missed one but I’ve only had to do that once or twice The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is it does appear to be hungry on batteries as I have a new iPhone 12 and does not get me through the day. As long as I have it plugged into a charger in the car when I’m driving this resolves that problem. I’ll save you the coding it costs $39.99 for the year. This is a shady practice and deserves the one star. The Auto Bluetooth mode helps to automate the process. It didn’t miss even one journey and works flawlessly. My accountant approved it’s HMRC compliant mileage reports. The app also has a great 7/24 support!
