### 4/5 — Good app

*2026-09-03*

Very functional and user-friendly

### 2/5 — Regular Issues

*2026-08-22, version 10.11.19*

This is the product I have to get support for more than any other that I use currently, and I’m an app developer myself and tend to be pretty self-serve. As of 8/2026, I’m pulling the plug as a paid user since 2019. Had to change phones earlier this year and came to find the app hadn’t uploaded anything for over a month. I was driving a lot of miles at the time so that’s going to be a costly screwup courtesy of TripLog.

### 3/5 — Auto start is buggy

*2026-08-20, version 10.11.19*

I was never very happy with the auto start. The car Bluetooth wasn’t triggering a trip tracking, magic start sometimes did, but often doesn’t. So I purchased a beacon which unfortunately also doesn’t trigger a log. Unfortunately I will have to keep looking for a better app, as this one doesn’t work for me (on IPhone 16pro with a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe)

### 4/5 — Review

*2026-08-05, version 10.11.19*

So far a good app

### 3/5 — Reports no longer work

*2026-08-03, version 10.11.19*

I’ve been using this app for many years. The last few months, I am unable to get my reports to send. I have to email help every single time which delays my check. Why can I not get my reports via the app anymore? Please fix.

### 3/5 — No way to cancel account

*2026-08-02, version 10.11.19*

I tried it for a while but decided it wasn't for me. Now there seems to be no way to cancel the account ir stop the regular emails. Very annoying

### 5/5 — Best mileage tracker

*2026-08-01, version 10.11.19*

I used MileIQ for years. I didn’t know what I was missing. TripLog is so much easier. Much simpler to change categories, quickly see my trips and navigate through all the info. Why didn’t I switch sooner.

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-07-30, version 10.11.19*

Great app to keep track of my mileage for my business expenses

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-07-30, version 10.11.19*

We use this at work and it’s been a life saver. Minimum effort- great for mileage reimbursement.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-07-30, version 10.11.19*

Amazing app, I have never tracked me miles before for work so this has such a seamless way to learn that with such a seamless process!

### 5/5 — Excelente aplicación

*2026-07-29*

Excelente

### 5/5 — Reliable & Reasonably Priced

*2026-07-28*

I tried a few free apps and was disappointed. This app worked great! Opted to go premium when offered 50% off so I could enjoy reporting features and odometer reading adjustments. This app runs quietly in the background. I just check in before driving everyday to categorize trips and ensure odometer reading is calibrated in case family member took my vehicle. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Best value

*2026-07-27, version 10.11.19*

Ive been using Quickbooks .it sucks. Failed to track my trip. So far Triplog is 100% accurate

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-07-24, version 10.11.18*

Amazing app for tracking and dividing my personal car and van and work trips

### 5/5 — Está aplicación es muy práctica no tengo que hacer nada solo configurar unos cuantos pasos

*2026-07-22, version 10.11.18*

Es automática y se guarda todo es perfecta.

### 5/5 — Great mileage tracker!

*2026-07-21*

Never had an issue with this app. It starts tracking my kilometres when I start driving and it doesn’t stop until I do. Very handy at the end of the year when I need to do my taxes and write-off my kilometres.

### 5/5 — Great tracker

*2026-07-21, version 10.11.19*

I have been using TripLog for going on 2 years and it’s easy to use and at the end of the year it’s easy to generate a report for taxes. User friendly mileage tracker

### 5/5 — It just works

*2026-07-21*

I use the Bluetooth auto start feature which makes mileage tracking very easy. Worth the money.

### 3/5 — Average interface and difficult subscription payment

*2026-07-19, version 10.11.18*

The app seems to work pretty good, tracks most of my drives and logs them correctly. So my basic review is good. It is a difficult to navigate interface, particularly compared to mileiq. However, it seems to work. I hate not being able to pay through Apple Pay or Google Pay or PayPal. Having to give them my credit card directly. So I’ve deducted stars for both of these issues.

### 4/5 — Bonne application

*2026-07-18*

Bonne application, je l’aime bien! J’aime de pouvoir faire l’ajustement de l’odomètre pour mettre à jour avec le réel.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t enter fuel, lost past records

*2026-07-03, version 10.11.18*

Auto scans receipt, but when save is clicked nothing happens and information disappears. When I opened it up again the majority of the entries are missing.

### 1/5 — Just not working

*2026-05-23, version 10.11.17*

The app won’t find the address I’m typing in manually, so this app is literally useless. It doesn’t matter whether I type the street address or the name of the place (it’s a sports centre), nothing comes up

### 1/5 — STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP

*2026-04-24, version 10.11.16*

TOTAL GARBAGE, DON’T BELIEVE PEOPLE SAYING ITS GREAT..BELIEVE THE PEOPLE SAYING IT STILL CHARGES YOU AFTERWARDS AND YOU HAVE TO CONSTANTLY KEEP CONTACTING SUPPORT AND IT ALSO PRORATES YOU SO YOU MAY STILL OWE A BILL PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS APP OR PEOPLE BEHIND IT!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-03-02, version 10.11.13*

If you don’t auto track trips then what even is the point. I have permissions set to connect to car Bluetooth and to track gps and it still fails to track trips randomly. I need to see a near 0% fail rate or it is just pointless to use

### 1/5 — Still getting billed - vague cancellation language

*2026-02-27, version 10.11.13*

The app was decent and drained the iPhone battery to the point it wasn’t worth it. Naturally, I plugged it in every time I got in the truck so the tracking was activated. It would keep running in the background continuously. Probably good for some, more of a nuisance for me. The worst part is getting billed again and I deleted it over five months ago. I re-downloaded the app today, tried to login and it doesn’t recognize my username and password. It has vague language - “ if you would like to cancel this schedule, you may do so by sending written notice to the address indicated on the authorization form you signed or approved via the web.” What form? That unreadable microtype page that popped up on the app occasionally? Anyway, it was too much of a hassle for me. I hope it works for someone else.

### 1/5 — Not easy to send the report to email.

*2026-02-14, version 10.11.13*

I've been using this app for 5 years now for my taxes. Super easy to use to send to my accountant and to my email for the year-end tax report. However, lately, they don't let you send the whole year's report, instead, month by month. Kinda hassle to keep going back month to month record.

### 1/5 — Really bad

*2026-01-30, version 10.11.13*

I paid for it and I regret it, does no matter what option you use to start tracking the miles, it is not working, I have to always click manual

### 1/5 — Cancellation of trial account requires contacting support

*2026-01-27, version 10.11.13*

Started trial. Played with it for one day. Tried to cancel. Apparently need to contact support by email or chat. Chat unresponsive. Email is a one way street and I don’t trust it. I should be able to cancel in iCloud subscription without fuss. Shady.

### 1/5 — Why have you changed the reports???

*2026-01-16, version 10.11.12*

Stop making it worse it just gets more complicated and annoying

### 1/5 — Beacon is trash, waste of time and money.

*2026-01-07*

If you buy and plug in the beacon to your car thinking it will improve the accuracy of your drives and catch all the mileage driven, think again. The way it works is the phone and beacon are supposed to recognize each other then it will record the drive. Having to plug it into my car I thought it would just record automatically. What if I didn’t bring my phone, someone else is using the car? The odometer that you manually set up gets out of wack. Sometimes I’ll check my drives for the week and see that it records a drive to a destination but not back home. If you get mileage reimbursement from a job this is not reliable enough. I would often have to go into my Google Maps and go through the timeline to tally up miles and time driving to fill in blanks that this app doesn’t catch.
I Drive a Tesla, I figured the plugging in a usb it would just take the information from the car and record it. I ended up having to download another different app (Tessie) and paying for it’s subscription too.

**Developer response:** Hey there. We're sorry to hear that TripLog and our Beacon haven't been reliable for you. Our Beacon does require to be paired with your phone. We do have another device (our TripLog Drive) that is able to record your mileage standalone, but the Beacon does not have this capability.

As for your other tracking accuracy issues, these can usually be solved with a few settings tweaks. Can you message us at support@triplog.net with the full details of your issue? We'd love to help you get squared away. Thanks, and sorry again that your TripLog experience has been less than satisfactory.

### 5/5 — Bobbi Whillans

*2026-08-26*

TripLog has been an incredibly helpful tool for both my job and day-to-day organization. It makes it easy to keep track of which job sites I’ve travelled to without having to manually record every trip. I can also keep my fuel receipts, car washes, and other vehicle-related expenses organized in one place. Tracks more than just mileage and is very easy to use for tracking expenses like gas and food while I am on the road. The auto-fill/scanning feature is outstanding and saves me time. Should have made the switch sooner!!!!

### 5/5 — An absolute game changer for mileage tracking expense reporting

*2026-08-04, version 10.11.19*

Title: An Absolute Game-Changer for Mileage Tracking and Expense Reports!
If you are someone who dreads the end-of-month scramble to pull together mileage logs, sort through a messy shoebox of crumpled receipts, and piece together business expense reports, let me save you the headache: TripLog is a total lifesaver.
I’ve used various methods over the years to keep track of my driving and business costs, but switching over to TripLog completely changed the game. It bridges the gap between automated convenience and meticulous, IRS-compliant recordkeeping better than anything else on the market.
Effortless, Set-It-and-Forget-It Mileage Logging
The standout feature for me has to be the automatic trip tracking. With options like MagicTrip, Bluetooth auto-start, or Plug-In options, the app handles everything quietly in the background without draining your battery or demanding constant manual input. You just get in your car, drive, and let the app accurately capture your starting and ending points.
Categorizing trips is an absolute breeze too. A quick swipe left or right lets you sort drives into business or personal, and you can set up frequent locations so the app recognizes your routine stops automatically. No more guessing distances or trying to remember if you visited client A or client B on a Tuesday afternoon—everything is mapped out cleanly with precise timestamps and routes.
Powerful Expense Reporting and Receipt Management
Where TripLog truly shines, though, is how it handles broader expense reporting. It isn't just a mileage tracker; it’s an all-in-one financial companion for your business travel and on-the-go purchases.
Smart Receipt Scanning: The built-in OCR (optical character recognition) technology is fantastic. You can snap a photo of a receipt for fuel, parking, tolls, or client lunches right from your phone, and the app automatically extracts key data like totals, dates, and vendors.
Seamless Expense Pairing: You can easily attach those receipts and tie incidental costs like parking fees or tolls directly to your specific trips. Everything stays neatly organized in one place.
Bank Feed Integration: For an even smoother workflow, connecting bank feeds ensures that corporate card or business transactions sync up seamlessly, cutting down manual data entry to almost zero.
Professional, Audit-Ready Reports
When it’s time to actually do something with all that data—whether for tax season, client billing, or employer reimbursement—TripLog makes you look like an absolute professional. The reporting suite allows you to generate detailed, clean, and comprehensive reports with just a few clicks. You can filter by date, category, or user, and export them into formats that accountants and finance teams love. It takes what used to be a multi-hour administrative nightmare and condenses it into a 5-minute task.
Final Thoughts
If you’re on the fence about investing in a tracking solution, TripLog is well worth it. It saves you countless hours of administrative work, ensures you don't miss out on valuable tax deductions, and brings total peace of mind to your recordkeeping. Highly recommended for freelancers, small business owners, and anyone tired of manual logs!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-08-01*

Switched from MileIQ due to their insane subscription rate price hike.

So glad I did. This app is very reasonably priced, has a free tier and does a great job!!
