## What is Mileager Tracker?

Mileager is a mileage log for freelancers, contractors, and self-employed people who drive for work and want clean records without the busywork. It captures your drives automatically, so you are not stopping to start and stop a timer. At tax time, or whenever you invoice a client, you export a clean report and you are done.

Mileager began as something I needed for my own work as a freelance photographer. I built it to keep my records straight, then shared it with everyone else who drives for a living. There are no ads and no account to create.

Your data stays yours. Trips are stored on your device, with optional private iCloud sync through your own Apple account. No cross-app tracking, no analytics, no company server holding your location history. On supported iPhones, trip suggestions are generated by Apple Intelligence on your device, never on a server.

What you get:

- Automatic drive capture that runs in the background
- Multiple vehicles, with trips attributed automatically to the car you drove
- Manual entry with route lookup for the trips you missed
- Purposes, notes, tolls, parking, your own mileage rate, and odometer checkpoints
- Monthly and annual reports as PDF or CSV, plus single-trip PDFs
- App Lock with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode
- Optional private iCloud sync across your devices
- Miles or kilometers, and your own currency

Review your trips before you file or invoice. Mileager keeps your records and does the math, but it is not tax advice and cannot guarantee tax, audit, or reimbursement outcomes. Built for freelance and solo small-business recordkeeping.

Mileager 2.4:

• Rebuilt Trip Detail around a map of the drive, with clearer classification and purpose controls and a Save & Next Trip flow for working through your review queue.
• Automatic captures that were really a ferry crossing can now be marked Not a Drive on their own — only when motion, the recorded path, and map evidence all agree.
• Reliability improvements to drive capture and review.

Mileager 2.3:

• Redesigned PDF reports: a cleaner summary with totals, report coverage, per-vehicle breakdowns, odometer readings, and your mileage rate right in the header.
• Trip receipts now match the report style, and long notes flow cleanly across pages.
• Create toll and parking presets in Settings, then add them to a trip with one tap.
• A simpler Add Fee sheet puts the amount front and center.
• The Shortcuts action that opens the app during a drive is now called “Open Mileager and Start Drive”.
• Reliability improvements to drive capture, reports, reset, and launch, plus fixes throughout the iPhone app.

Mileager 2.2:

• Trips now uses a familiar Mail-style layout with Needs Review, monthly mailboxes, and All Trips.
• Review faster with clearer status, filters, sorting, bulk actions, and swipe or context-menu actions.
• Export monthly and annual PDF or CSV reports directly from Trips.
• Merge adjacent captures with one tap. Separate trips with overlapping times are no longer removed automatically, so you stay in control of review and deletion.
• Exclude and Archive are gone. Every trip is Business, Personal, Not a Drive, or permanently deleted.
• Ask Siri, “How long was my last drive in Mileager?” or use Shortcuts to hear the duration of your most recent completed drive.
• Includes reliability, accessibility, localization, and interface improvements throughout the iPhone app.

Mileager 2.1:

• Automatic capture is more dependable through background wake-ups, relaunches, brief stops, transit-like movement, and changing vehicle connections.
• Missing automatic-trip place names and new-trip route corrections now retry after temporary network or Maps failures when Mileager returns to the foreground. Manual corrections are never overwritten.
• Car Connections lets you review, move, remove, ignore, or restore saved CarPlay and Bluetooth matches. Uncertain matches stay visible for confirmation.
• Live Drive has a clearer layout and adds manual vehicle selection; its existing purpose, notes, fees, and New Leg actions are easier to reach.
• Siri recognizes “Mileager,” the current drive, and the most recent completed trip more reliably.
• Reports, iCloud sync, bulk editing, trip review, and dark-mode presentation have been refined.
