### 1/5 — Playing game

*2016-12-26*

Wouldn't let me move at all even when I had a green card.. instructions were useless..

**Developer response:** Please return to game and check a new version. This bug was fixed.

### 1/5 — Now with video ads...I'm done.

*2016-11-18*

Was a perfectly fine little basic free game. Then it's updated and suddenly I'm forced to sit through full-screen video ads?!?

Done. Immediately deleted and I won't be coming back.

**Developer response:** Please use our paid version without ads.

### 2/5 — Appreciate the effort, but can't figure it out!

*2014-06-11*

I'm a lifelong Touring, Milles Borne card player and someone who thought that Rally 1000 for the Palm OS was one of the best apps ever designed.

I know how the game is played, but, sadly, this app is unfathomable. I won't bother getting into interface glitches-- you can get trapped and not get key play info unless you quit the app and restart. Whatever built-in help there is (little or none) prevented me from using this.

Swipe to the right to discard? Usually doesn't work.

Double tap to play, often doesn't.

Help for baffled users--not available.

Users are much better off with 1000 Miles--a tour de force, with great game explanations built-in!

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2014-04-14*

The first reviewer is correct. No way to play own cards. Ipad iOS 7

### 1/5 — Slow and awkward to use

*2013-03-02*

I've played other versions of the same game concept and this is by far the worst. Absence of animations makes it difficult to play as you will not notice what the opponent has done or what card you just drew.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2013-01-26*

Game loads but no way to play your cards.

### 2/5 — MilesFE

*2012-09-15, version 2.0*

You can't play it once ya win

### 2/5 — So confused

*2011-06-11*

Ok, I know how to play this game, been playing it for years with the actual cards, but when I try to play a GO, it will only go to the discard pile, so I assume it just automatically plays my go on my side, but doesn't cuz I never make any miles. Why won't it play my GO on my board side!?!?

### 1/5 — Doesn

*2010-10-02*

Pretty poor. It doesn't even load.

### 2/5 — Okay

*2010-09-22*

Fun if you like the game Mille Bornes. Would like to have the option to see some animations when cards are drawn, just to slow the action down a bit. With a bit of polish would be a good game. Don't think the paid version would be worth 2 bucks based on this version.

### 1/5 — Can’t Play

*2026-01-17*

I love Mille Bornes so I downloaded this app. I tried playing the game but I cannot figure out how to play a card. I’ve tried dragging it but it doesn’t stick. I tried clicking it then clicking where I want to move it but again it doesn’t stick. Seems all I can do is double click it to the garbage. Please help!!!

### 1/5 — They screw the customer

*2023-07-05*

They have added an ad for Tripeaks solitaire that never closes so you can’t get back to the game. Harder levels don’t seem to utilize skill, they just rig the card deck to give the computer better cards to play

### 1/5 — Missed opportunity.

*2023-04-03, version 2.9*

iPhone 13 with latest OS still unable to play any cards. Go card works, all else only option is discard pile.

This is a very fun card game and this app looks to be very close to re creating it, but is not functional.

### 1/5 — Have they actually played the game?

*2022-01-12*

No randomness to the card draws. How can you have differing skill levels of ‘random’? Do they know how to use random number generation? How can the computer have so many hazards and fixes simultaneously? That’s not how a card drawing game works!

### 1/5 — Started out fun

*2018-07-15*

Nice nostalgic game. But I don’t recall playing the actual game and having it so one sided. I didn’t realize I could receive so many hazards with no repairs in site. Yet the computer fixes the repair and gets a green and lays points in a blink of an I. I’ll try the game from your competitor.

### 1/5 — Broken, no app support

*2018-02-13*

I’m just thankful I got the free version first!! The game will not let you play any cards, except to discard them, but the other player (computer) plays their cards just fine. Also, when I tried to get ahold of the developer, it took me to a broken page! Lovely.

Update 2/13/18
Glitch was "fixed" (6 months after I tried to get ahold of someone and couldn't). Developer commented on my review as a explanation, I'm guessing, because you still can't email or message them, so this is their only way to contact people. There is still still only minimal graphics and directions. You can't even drag a card to where you want, except the trash. Also doesn't show opponents cards, only the "go", "safety", and a hazard if you play one. It took me forever to realize the computer was racking up miles. As for the full screen, unskippable adds, yes we can buy the paid version, but it hardly seems worth it when they have put so little effort into it. Deleting, unfortunately.

**Developer response:** Please return to game and check a new version. This bug was fixed.

### 1/5 — Full screen 30 second video ads...boo

*2018-02-12*

Their "bug fix" in this update was to force a 30 second ad down your throat. I'll see if my ad blocker will take care of it, if not, it is getting deleted. Was a nice free app before!

Recent update has made it even worse. You could go into airplane mode and bypass the ads. Now they've even done away with that. DELETED. Would give it zero stars if I could.

What a joke, $5 to get rid of the ads?

**Developer response:** Please use our paid version without ads.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2018-01-24, version 2.6*

Unable to play any cards.

### 1/5 — Ads

*2017-07-08*

Really, an ad after every hand. Play is okay. Ads are unreasonable. Delete.

**Developer response:** Please use our paid version without ads.

### 1/5 — Unplayable

*2017-03-07, version 2.6*

Unable to play. I can not place tiles. Only able to trash them.

*2013-06-18, version 2.0*

### 5/5 — Forgotton..

*2010-09-22, version 0*

Was looking for this kind of thing some time ago...

### 4/5 — Great! But not tournament level play.

*2018-03-13*

It’s sad to see all the haters out there upset at the 30 second video ads that play after every game. It’s fairly nicely implemented and if you don’t like a mildly bothersome ad then pay the $5.

I’m a MB expert both in terms of the game AI/coding AND the official gameplay rules. I give the game play coding about 80%. It always plays the same way and the way it plays is not guru level.

As just one AI example: the AI should balance between stopping you at the beginning in order to try and keep you Shut Out, versus keeping you from doing a Shut Out on it. It completely ignores itself trying to prevent a Shut Out against it be always wanting to attack the player EVEN IF THE PLAYER HAS ALREADY PLACED MILES AND IT HAS PLACED NONE. It would be nice if there was an end-game next-to-last draw, last draw, deck depleted AI coding. I don’t mean BETTER AI/coding, I mean ANY coding!!! There is ZERO end game strategy.

In terms of gameplay, there are some little things. With the UI and lack of coup fourre obviousness and auto-draw its hard to tell if it’s even properly following the rules: you only get a coup fourre if the safety is ALREADY IN YOUR HAND not if you get it on your draw that turn. But it’s so hard to tell what it’s doing cuz the UI.

SUGGESTION how about making the ad only play if you win? Or if you lose? Or make it selectable as to if it plays for winning vs losing? Or make it play after only finishing each ROUND of score 5000 winner?

At bare minimum... auto coup fourre would help. Many MB implementations do this and play a sound when doing this.

Overall the AI is something I would expect from an undergrad computer science project. Not bad. But clearly not written by a PhD in conjunction with a tournament level player.

Tweak the starting play, for god sakes add some end play coding, add auto coup fourre and maybe tweak the ad play on free edition.

Overall, fairly nice.

### 3/5 — I love the game but....

*2016-01-23, version 2.0*

How do you set the mileage to 1000?

### 3/5 — Love app. Does not work on ios9

*2015-10-07*

Great app. Play all time but now since got 6s plus, it does not act right. Cards shake and double when grab and drop into trash. However can't even start game. Double clicking to play card doesn't work

**Developer response:** Please return to game and check a new version. This bug was fixed.

### 3/5 — Flawed

*2014-10-19, version 2.0*

Speed of screen response is very poor, unfortunately. I'm on ios8 now but it was the same on 7...double taps often not registering, having to triple tap to get a double tap to register. Screen refresh also slow. Great game but as this is the free trial version it's not made me want to invest in the full thing, sorry. Slowest app on my ipad3, unfortunately.

### 3/5 — Better Than the Official Version, But Needs Work

*2013-11-16*

I'm glad to be able to play Mille Bornes with the real rules: battle pile, one time through the deck, etc. For some reason, the official version recycles the deck, including played hazards, which turns it into a long, frustrating slog.

I agree with a previous review that a little animation would help (or more sound effects), but I don't have trouble figuring out what has been played. It's usually obvious from the context. (If the opponent's battle pile has gone from a flat-tire hazard to a tire remedy, for instance, what else can the opponent have played?)

What would help even more is if the player's cards were at the bottom of the screen, instead of the top. As it is, a right-handed player has to mostly cover the opponent's area with his hand to play his cards, and then withdraw it to see what the opponent played. And back and forth, the whole game.

Also, I look forward to a version with more than two players. The game really gets going with three or four.

UPDATE: One little glitch I've noticed... Sometimes when you pick up a card to drag to the discard, it turns into a different card. It turns back when you let it go, or finish discarding it, so I assume this is just a hiccup in the graphics somewhere.

And one more comment... It would help if there were a pause (maybe a musical cue) between when the opponent wins, and when the score table comes up. As it is, you don't even get to see the opponent play its last card (or cards, if it played safeties). You can work out what cards they were, but it's still pretty abrupt.

UPDATE 2: I've noticed an error in the rules. A "Coup Fouree" is supposed to happen only if you have the appropriate Safety in your hand when someone plays a Hazard on you. This app credits you with a Coup Fouree even if you acquire and play the Safety on a later turn, so long as you haven't yet remedied the Hazard.

### 3/5 — Upgrade needed

*2013-01-12, version 2.0*

It's a lovely game, but it would be great if you would be able to play online or bluetooth with another player, the 2 player setting is quite poor. Thanks!

### 2/5 — I miss the RinTinTin version

*2017-11-28*

This one works, though I don't like the way cards are selected or the placement of cards. Actually, I don't care for the graphics much either. I miss the Dujardin TinTin characters, cool cars and collections and the trip around the board. Wish that game was still supported, I don't think I'll be keeping this one.
