## What is Milesta?

Milesta is a private journal for the milestones of a grown-up life: new jobs, moves, travel, love, health wins and big trips. Instead of writing every day, you log what actually mattered, and Milesta lays it out as a winding path through your years — yours to scroll, relive and keep.

YOUR PATH — Log tweet-length milestones with photos, places, notes and links, and watch your journey wind through the months and years.

FOUR DESIGNS, NINE PALETTES — Draw your path as Classic cards beside a winding line, a Scrapbook of polaroids and notes, a Memory Map with your photos as stops, or Wrapped: frosted glass along a glowing path. Then pick one of nine palettes.

STORY REPLAY — Press play and your whole story returns full screen, one milestone at a time. Tall photos fill the screen; wide ones stay whole over a soft blur of themselves.

RECAPS & POSTERS — Every month, half-year and year comes back as something worth sharing: a monthly card with its own calendar, and a year poster in two layouts — a gallery of your best photos, or the whole year as a winding path — in six styles, light and dark.

PLAY YOUR YEAR — Your yearly recap as a full-screen story: how many milestones, your busiest month, the areas of your life, your places and your photos, ending on your poster.

INSIGHTS — Your year at a glance, your streaks, your busiest months, your categories and your places, with every year side by side.

SIRI & SHORTCUTS — Say "Add a milestone in Milesta" or "Play my story in Milesta", or use Milesta's actions in the Shortcuts app.

YOUR DATA, PORTABLE — Export a full backup any time: every milestone, photo and category in one file. Automatic monthly backups too — on your device, or in your own iCloud Drive, ready to restore on any of your devices.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN — No accounts. No ads. Your milestones stay on your device, protected by Face ID if you wish, and nothing leaves it unless you share it or back it up to your own iCloud. Anonymous usage statistics only if you opt in.

FREE — Your first 20 milestones with photos, places, notes and links; the Classic design with the Terracotta palette; Story Replay; your newest monthly recap; your milestone count and days on the path; posters of single milestones; widgets, search, Face ID lock, Siri and backups, including iCloud Drive.

MILESTA PREMIUM (optional subscription) — Unlimited milestones, every recap and the story of your year, sharing recap posters and cards as images and Stories, every design, palette and card style, and full Insights. Monthly or yearly, cancel anytime.

For iPhone and iPad. Built, designed and localized by one developer in Germany.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-10-25

• "Share as video" now runs to the end on iPhone. Making your year's video could stop partway through.
• Insights and Recaps scroll smoothly in every design, not just Wrapped.
• Pull a story down to close it, in "Play Your Story" and in "Play your year".
• In the Memory Map design, tapping a photo on your path opens its milestone.
• The calendar of your busiest month, in your year's story and in Insights, now lines every day up under its weekday.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-23

• "Play your year" now becomes a video, with its own music: tap "Share as video" at the end of your year's story to post it to your stories or save it to Photos.
• On iPhone, "Suggestions" in a new milestone brings in the date, photos and place of a recent moment. The words stay yours.
• Arabic and Urdu chosen inside Milesta now turn every screen right to left, even when your phone uses another language.
• Smoother transitions in your year's story, and the Premium page now fits the Wrapped design.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-22

• Backups work on every phone again, including phones set to Arabic digits, and older iCloud backups are tidied up as they should be.
• Recaps keep the right month, half-year and year when you travel or change time zones — and duplicate recaps are cleaned up.
• App Lock now covers every Milesta window on iPad and Mac.
• Your half-year and year notifications read naturally in every language.
• Compose asks before discarding a milestone you've started.
• "Play your year" skips empty slides, the story's Done button works again, and Arabic and Urdu read better throughout — plus many smaller fixes.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-02

• Four designs for your path — Classic, Scrapbook, Memory Map and Wrapped — and nine palettes to pair them with.
• New year posters in two layouts, Gallery and Path, and a monthly card with its own calendar. Six styles, light and dark.
• Play your year: your yearly recap as a full-screen story.
• Insights, redesigned: your streaks, busiest month, categories, places and every year side by side.
• Story Replay shows tall photos full screen and wide ones whole.
• Siri and Shortcuts: add a milestone or play your story with your voice.
• Automatic backups can now go to your own iCloud Drive, ready to restore on any of your devices.
• Smoother scrolling, even with a thousand milestones, keyboard shortcuts on iPad and Mac, and better Arabic, Urdu and Russian.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-30

• Fixed a crash that could keep Milesta from opening after you deleted a custom category. Your milestones are safe and back on your path.
• Photos no longer go missing when you tap Save while they're still loading from iCloud.
• Wide photos and panoramas now sit neatly inside their cards — and every photo can be removed while editing.
• Export Backup now opens reliably, every time.
• Save recap cards and posters straight to your Photos.
• Your Wrapped notification now arrives on December 1, and recap alerts only come for recaps you can open.
• New in Settings: notification switches and Manage Subscription. Milesta also lets you know before your free milestones run out.
• Clearer layouts in German, better VoiceOver labels and larger-text support, plus a number of smaller fixes.
