### 3/5 — Hook, line and sinker

*2026-08-26*

*NOT FREE* Definitely a quick app that was built to bait service members in and unable to get the assistance their seeking, by immediately charging a monthly rate to get help to local resources.

### 4/5 — Just starting

*2026-08-09, version 1.0.9*

I just downloaded this app and I am amazed. I am looking forward to search this and learning more. I wish I could select all of the initial options: understand my benefits, save money day to day, purchase a home…

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-08-03*

You have to pay for a subscription even though you can do a simple google search for the same information.

**Developer response:** Fair challenge. You can Google any single discount the hard part is knowing which ones exist, which are still valid, and which apply to your branch, status, and state. A lot of "military discounts" floating around online are expired or were never real. Keeping that verified and personalized is the work you're paying for. Free trial's there if you want to test whether it saves you more than it costs. — Bryson, founder

### 1/5 — Why the hell do i have to pay for this???!???

*2026-08-01, version 1.0.6*

Dude should offer a military discount. $13 a month for things i can google is outrageous! Like come on!!

### 3/5 — Too early to know

*2026-08-01, version 1.0.6*

Just downloaded the app and asked me to write it.

### 2/5 — Have to pay subscription fee

*2026-07-31*

Seems like a good app, but you have to pay a decent amount in order to see any discounts and can’t do anything without subscribing with one of the plans. Would have kept it if it would have been a one time purchase

**Developer response:** I hear you on the one-time purchase I've gone back and forth on it. The reason it's a subscription: discounts and VA programs change constantly, and keeping it accurate is ongoing work rather than a one-time build. That said, "I'd have paid once" is feedback I'm taking seriously.

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2026-07-30, version 1.0.6*

$60 a year to tell you about military discounts…kind of defeats the purpose. IMO this app targets military in order to rip them off. They should be ashamed…

### 1/5 — Payment Required

*2026-07-29, version 1.0.6*

You have to subscribe to see the discounts, which defeats the purpose of being free or discounted.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-07-26, version 1.0.6*

I got this app and just to check it out before doing the yearly subscription I did 7 free days with the 12.99 monthly after accepting this offer my card was charged 16$??? Cancelling without even giving the 7 days a shot because I have no idea what they took money for during what was supposed to be a free trial and said 12.99 if I was to be charged…

### 1/5 — Defeats the purpose

*2026-07-17*

If you’re looking for deals I think paying for an app to do so defeats the purpose of saving a buck or two. Honestly I just ask chat gpt to search the web for deals and it works the same. The app wasn’t for me, it’s a sad disappointment because I followed the developer for so long.

**Developer response:** Fair take, and I appreciate you following along this long. The app isn't trying to beat ChatGPT at searching the web the issue is that a lot of military discounts either aren't posted publicly or are out of date by the time you find them. We verify them and keep them current, plus the VA tools and card-benefit tracking, which aren't "deals" at all. If that's not worth it to you, no hard feelings. Thanks for giving it a shot.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-07-11*

The app is NOT FREE. I watched many of your videos, but nowhere do you say that we service members need to pay. STOP using a week-long free trial as an excuse. Make it truly free without requiring a credit card if you genuinely care about your service members. Don't fall for this SCAM.

**Developer response:** Straight answer: it's a paid app. $12.99/month or $59.99/year, shown on screen before the trial starts. The 7 days are there so you can see everything and decide cancel inside that window and you're charged nothing. That's not hidden, and it's not a scam. It's a price you don't think is worth it, which is a fair thing to say.

I'm one founder with a small dev team. Verifying discounts, keeping VA information current, and running the backend costs money every month. Free without a card would mean the app doesn't exist.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-07-10, version 1.0.4*

This app doesn’t say much that you don’t already know and is expensive as hell. Also don’t believe your reviews are real. Who talks like that?

### 1/5 — Freezing

*2026-07-07*

Downloaded this app thinking it would be something I could use. The app loaded fine but most of the time when I tap on the explore, map or category it does nothing. It either freezes or is way too slow for my patience. Cancelling subscription.

**Developer response:** That one's on me Explore and Map hanging in 1.0.4 was a real bug, not you being impatient. It's fixed in 1.0.5. Sorry you hit it before the fix shipped, and I understand the cancellation.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy it!

*2026-07-02, version 1.0.3*

I need my refund for this app, it doesn’t work at all, I haven’t had any response from customer service!

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2026-07-02*

I purchased the monthly subscription, but the paywall is still showing and i don’t have access to any of the subscriber-only content. I’ve refreshed the app and completely closed and re-opened it, but the issue persists

**Developer response:** Hi sorry about this, and thanks for the detail. This is almost always a sync issue between your purchase and your account. Two quick fixes: tap "Already a subscriber? Sign in" on the paywall, or go to Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases." If neither unlocks your access, email us at admin@militarybenefitsapp.com with the email you used, and we'll fix it on our end right away.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-06-30, version 1.0.2*

App does not work whatsoever. Not worth even a $1 let alone the $60 yearly subscription it requires.

### 1/5 — Paywall only

*2026-06-30, version 1.0.2*

Whole app is a pay wall. Great idea though!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Steer Clear

*2026-08-28*

The app is not worth the money. The amount of discounts available is minimal. You find more with a simple Google search or asking your community.

You pay for the privilege of adding discounts you find to the app.

The CC perks tracking is also not worth it the price tag.

### 1/5 — Instant paywall and Rating Request

*2026-08-21*

Instant paywall and Rating Request. I would suggest changing how your app is ux is handled. At the very least give folks the ability to explore. UI is slick but there isn’t any actual premium features that I can just find elsewhere for free these days. It does aggregate resources but those resources are publicly available everywhere.

### 1/5 — Way to personal

*2026-08-13, version 1.0.10*

If i need data found in me why use this app. If your going to serve vets then dont ask for there info. Unless they want help! Dang about to delete this. Kids good on youtube on all the cool things wants me to look things up but if i have to give my kidney to do so im out.

### 1/5 — Pay for free benefits?

*2026-08-13, version 1.0.10*

Don’t waste your time. You’ll spend more on the app than you’ll save in a year if you have just a little bit of common sense.

### 1/5 — BS app charges veterans monthly

*2026-08-12, version 1.0.10*

Not free, forces you to pay only free for several days and you have to cancel. SCAM

### 1/5 — Taking Advantage

*2026-08-11*

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This absolutely targets veterans that are either lazy or low IQ. A simple Google search gets the same information. Their social media is filled with AI messaging. There is zero benefit to using the app versus looking something up yourself. These people and their spokesperson should be ashamed of themselves.

*Your response actually reinforces my point. “You can’t Google something you’ve never heard of” is a clever sales pitch, but you’re still charging veterans recurring money to aggregate information that is overwhelmingly free and publicly available. And the alternative isn’t “pay me or have your information sold.” VA, state veteran agencies, VSOs, and other official resources don’t require veterans to become insurance/refi leads. That’s a false choice. I respect charging for your product instead of selling user data. But having a respectable business model doesn’t automatically make the product worth the price. As for the free trial, I did look inside. That’s how I reached my conclusion. The app offers convenience, not enough unique value to justify the subscription. Your response didn’t change that.

**Developer response:** Appreciate you taking the time, though I'll respectfully disagree on most of it. Google's great if you already know a benefit exists the catch is that you can't search for something you've never heard of, and that's most of what people find in here. On the money: this is a paid app specifically so it never has to be a data-broker app. The standard way a "free" military app makes money is selling veteran contact info to lead-gen buyers that's why vets get buried in refi and insurance spam. I'd rather charge the people who find it useful and never sell anyone's information. There's a free trial if you ever want to actually look inside. — Bryson, founder

### 1/5 — I won’t pay for this service

*2026-08-11, version 1.0.9*

Why do veterans have to pay for a service that we can find elsewhere for free. Developer should be ashamed.

### 1/5 — R.I.P

*2026-08-09, version 1.0.9*

Not gonna lie, I was excited to use this app since I just recently got out, however, you answer some questions then get greeted with a paywall, absolutely not 🤣

### 1/5 — Taking Advantage

*2026-08-09, version 1.0.9*

### 1/5 — A Joke

*2026-08-09*

This app is a joke oh yea let’s help veterans out behind a paywall what comedy really you don’t care about vets you care about your profits which by all means go right ahead but I’m not gonna support something that I can just look up for free and for all the vets there’s plenty of free services out there that will help you with all of this DAV for ratings and va wise VETTIX for any tickets and govX for discounts and everything

**Developer response:** Genuinely good list, and I'd point people to all three — but each does one narrow thing. DAV helps with claims, VetTix does event tickets, GovX runs a store. None of them tells you what you're missing across all of it, which is the part most people get wrong. As for caring about profits over vets: a free version of this would have to monetize your data, and selling veteran contact lists to lead-gen companies is the actual predatory business in this space. I'd rather charge $5 a month on the annual plan and never sell a thing. Respect the skepticism it's earned in this industry. — Bryson, founder

### 5/5 — Great app

Title: One Stop Shop for Military Benefits

As a Coast Guard Reservist prior active , I’ve spent countless hours searching multiple websites, digging through forums, and trying to piece together information on military discounts, benefits, and programs. This app puts everything in one convenient location, making it easy to find what you need without the frustration of hunting for information piece by piece.

The layout is straightforward, the information is organized well, and it saves a tremendous amount of time. Whether you’re active duty, Reserve, Guard, retired, or a veteran, having a centralized resource like this makes staying informed much easier. Instead of wondering where to look next, you can simply open the app and find the information you’re looking for in minutes.

Highly recommended for anyone in the military community who wants quick access to benefits, discounts, and resources all in one place. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
