## What is Milk Maid?

The Milk Maid app was designed to help pumping moms manage their stash of breast milk.

* Record pumping sessions and quickly see your inventory of fresh and frozen milk in multiple locations.  (Home, work, daycare, etc.  Want to add Grandma's house?  You can easily add custom locations.)

* Milk Maid keeps track of individual bottles and bags by pumping date so that you can use the oldest milk first.  Milk Maid is flexible.  You can combine milk from multiple pumping sessions or pour milk from one bottle into multiple bottles and freezer bags.

* Record the bottles and bags used by you or your caregiver each day.  Have a business trip?  Milk Maid will calculate the average milk you used last week to help you estimate how long your stash will last.

* Set an expiration period for each storage location and Milk Maid will track the expiration time of each bottle/bag in your stash.  Browse the stash to see containers that are nearing expiration or expired.

* Use Milk Maid's optional features like the handy timer if your pump does not have one and the Left/Right feature to track each side separately.

I exclusively pump and was an undersupplier until I started medications, so I wanted to get a baseline of what I was producing and to see my increases. Luckily, the meds worked for me and I’ve been able to track significant progress. I love this app!! The only little things I could ask for are:
-when going into the Stats and History menus, you have to scroll to get to the top 
-I’d like to be able to scroll further through the bar graphs. Right now you can only see the last 10 days/weeks/months. 
-I am curious about my “ounces per minute” I’m sure I could figure it out in an excel spreadsheet but I’m a little lazy/bad at math and excel
-I’d like the option to have only one pump time instead of pump times for left and right breasts. I use a double pump (the most common?) and I have to input both numbers for each pump which can be somewhat tedious. 

Overall, thank you for this app! Is everything I needed and gives me more insight than I knew I wanted.

I really like this app… except for the fact that once you press “submit” on anything, you can’t go back and edit it. Accidentally said you pumped 60oz instead of 60ml?? Well, screw you… your data will be forever skewed because there’s no way to go to that pump session and edit it. I really like all the features on the app, but there HAS to be a way to edit your entries. Please update?!

While the app does capture all the necessary information to track your pumping I find that there are many glitches with the data. Pump times were added when I didn’t pump, milk that was marked as used would reappear as available and duplicate pump time entries appeared.

Been using this app for two months. I’d love to see an updated interface. Times have changed and there are better looking apps out there that will grab users attention but not necessarily work better. There are some restrictions and no “help” for better understanding. Wishing for custom reminders, maybe setup like iPhone alarms.... where you can customize the message and time. Would love the option for motivational notifications! It would be nice to be able to pump into more than 2 containers for one session.... maybe a drop down with several numbers listed - that will save time on pouring and moving the stash. Would love to drag-and-drop rather than bounce back and forth from stash to move. Not sure of Export feature? LOVE the summary for the day on the top of the screen!!

I am not satisfied with this app. I would like a refund as it does not fit my needs. It is not difficult to use however the set up is not easy to maneuver about.

I am exclusively pumping for my son.  I needed a tool to help keep track of how much I was pumping out and a way to keep track of my growing freezer stash.  With the app, I know how much my son is drinking, how much I pump each day, and exactly how many ounces I have stored in each freezer or fridge I keep the milk in.

So I read through every detail and rating I could find for this app and I was under the impression that it had the option to help you keep track of your nursing schedule as well as your pumping one. I wanted one like that so that I could get appropriate help keeping track of the time frame between feedings so I knew when the best time to pump is. My life is insanely chaotic and I don’t have a lot of time to sit and keep track of this AND keep track of the paper I wrote it on. I am also struggling with some health issues that leave me In and out of appointments and upcoming hospital stays so I’m trying to pump and prep for this. 

After several great reviews and research on this app I payed the $2.99 and downloaded it just open it and find that there is no way to track your nursing schedule. It is strictly a pumping App, no nursing. Please please please correct this ASAP I already payed for it and everything else seem great!

Very disappointed in this app, especially since I had to pay for it! I've been using for 2 months and the data is not as accessible or presented in as useful a manner as it could be. Save your money and your time and use a different app to track your pumping - I wish I had!

I've been using this app for just over three weeks and for someone exclusively pumping it was been absolutely perfect.  I'm pumping because my baby was 14 weeks early and will be in the NICU long term.  The stats are easy to show the lactation consultant and now that I'm freezing milk at home the location tracker can't be beat. Thank you for such a great app! 

(Future enhancement suggestion would be to enter baby's weekly weight so the use or can be recalculated.  I'd be open to beta testing any changes you make.)
