And the cafe idea? That’s so cute. It’s easy to learn the game’s mechanics and it’s very straightforward too, something I like in game. It’s unfortunate for me cause I invested my time to get the special story and then figured you need to buy it which got me pretty upset so if you wanna play the game just remember if you do want the special story you need to pay for it otherwise the game is for the long run pretty cute but not much otome you don’t really have any option of what way you want to go it’s more a story piece that you unlock after time that you pay with diamonds which you can get for free pretty fast. Gameplay loop is fun and you’re able to finish it rather quickly. The characters are great, a little cliché but nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed Nita and Mr. DC the most followed by Mugi and Shion. I felt the MC was lacking though. I don’t like self-insert MCs. I feel like they hinder what I really want out of otome, the interactions. She also comes off as rock-stupid at times and that’s frustrating because I can see she’s not meant to be. Her reactions to what the boys say is so bland which is a shame because the boys have colourful characters begging to have interesting interactions with. Small spoilers, I guess? But I felt the romance aspect left a lot to be desired. There’s barely any hint from the MC’s side that she’s starting to fall in love with her chosen boy even up until the “end” at level 100 (I know it goes up to 120 but I don’t think that’s enough to fix this issue) and it comes off as the MC naïvely taking advantage of the boys, despite her genuine care, which left me a little sour. I chose Mr. DC’s (DCさん?) epilogue because I enjoyed him warming up but it skips right to them being in a relationship, skipping one of the best moments of stories like these - the confession. But what we got was good and sensual for the age rating. For the price you pay for it though I feel the VNs are too short. The VNs on a whole for the game tend to be short, but paying $20 for two I’d expect it to be a bit more substantive. Maybe like a series of VNs where we see the relationship progress after the story’s over. I enjoyed the game despite my gripes with it and who knows maybe in the future more content gets added. Thank you to the developers and translators. It’s easy to get lost in the mindless repetition, and the characters are lovely and interesting with cool designs. The story and endings are a bit short and underwhelming, but that’s not a major complaint. I have two problems with the game. The first is the amount of ads it takes to play the game optimally. Today, I played for 15 minutes for the daily quest, and during that time I watched 14 30 second long ads, which is pretty typical. I spent the money to have all of the ads (aside from video ones) removed, but the amount of ads needed to make good money and utilize the game’s features is out of control. I spend almost a third of my time watching ads. My second complaint is the price of the optional stories and features. While the game itself is free, if you want every special story for all of the characters, you’re going to be spending upwards of $100. To be fair, this is far from the worst system and price tag on the market, but it’s still a lot for not very much story. I love SEEC games, and I play every one that comes out in English, but this one isn’t a favorite. If you want a more interesting and engaging story by the same company I highly recommend playing Tsumugu Logic, Tasokare Hotel, The Prison Boys and Yotsume God. ### 3/5 — honest review!! *2024-08-08, version 1.0.4* really good story, makes me want to come back for more! i would say though that i’ve noticed that while the plot centers around raising 10 billion dollars, you’ll be needing to make much more than that to just finish one of the seven characters’ storyline. i swear, more than half of the time, i’m trying to make up for my lack of money by watching ads despite having all seven guys! i get this might be the point; the costumer will feel more inclined to play more, maybe even spend real money or watch another ad just to talk to one of the guys, but i just wished that maybe they could have added more mini games that would make you more money instead of basically forcing me to watch a bunch of ads? i may just be a little impatient.. another thing !!spoilers!! why is there a brother character in the lineup of possible suitors? i’m happy to know that within the game, the ranking system places him last, but still, why is he in the game?? i get he kind of has a role in the story, but you didn’t have to make him one of the love interests! i’m sorry, but that’s just gross. the sibling troupe in media where one of the siblings is in love with the other (not family love) is just ew. and all the other characters are fine!! you made all of them have unique personalities and overall perfect for the plot to continue, but the brother is just out of line. like you could have chose anyone for the finale, and you chose him? anyway, despite how much i bash on it, i still am interested to see where some characters go from here. i just don’t know about the brother…great game! ### 3/5 — I like it but the ending… *2024-07-29, version 1.0.4* I really liked the game, the story is fun but it takes too long to unlock a very short story, the games that randomly appears on the screen are rock, paper, scissors or a game of cards with the debt collector. It’s really fun. The only problem I have is that the endings were pretty underwhelming. You have to pay $15+ for the good content which I feel like is way too much for only 2 stories. I would honestly buy the stories if they were cheaper. If you want to unlock all the special stories you’re looking at $100+ which is pretty insane in my opinion. I spent weeks playing this game and I was honestly really disappointed when I got to the endings. I would be much happier if the special stories were cheaper. In this economy I don’t think many people can afford to spend $15+ on an otome game. There are a ton of positives though. The gameplay and premise is super fun. And the characters are super likeable. So overall i definitely recommend it.
