### 3/5 — Probably

*2025-12-28, version 1.2.1*

Babel

### 4/5 — Sound

*2025-12-22, version 1.2.1*

The app is really good and love it, unfortunately the sound don’t work on iPad but does on my iPhone. Wonder if you could help, I’ve tried reinstalling app but don’t work. Thanks

### 2/5 — Way harder than tv

*2025-04-04, version 1.2.1*

Question difficulty does not correlate to the tv show - first 5 questions are mixed difficulty rather than getting harder each time

### 3/5 — Decent, but a few big let downs

*2025-02-12, version 1.2.1*

Question rankings (in terms of difficulty) do not correspond as they should with what question you’re on . £0-£1000 questions are far too tricky for what they should be. They should be very straightforward play on words questions, not asking which sea is amber mined from. Similarly, asking what laurel and hardys first names were for £250,000 feels far too easy. Surely more like a £2,000 question! The phone a friend option is often a waste of time and too predictable. I’ve been playing a whole day and 19 out of about 20 times I’ve used it they just say ‘I don’t know, it’s definitely not X but that’s all I can say’, poorly designed lifeline for the game and needs fixing as that lifeline is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard most of the time.

### 2/5 — Good, but the lower level questions are too hard

*2025-01-29, version 1.2.1*

Nice graphics and really well made, but they really need to sort out the difficulty of the £100 to £1000 questions, in the show these are supposed to be idiot proof, but I’m finding myself burning through lifelines to get to £1000 because some of the questions are pretty obscure. I don’t have an issue with the game asking hard questions, but throwing them at you in the earliest stages isn’t representative of the real show and ruins the experience by making you use life lines earlier on and therefore stopping the game prematurely before it has a chance to get interesting.

### 4/5 — Hmmm

*2025-01-17, version 1.2.1*

I love this game, however one of the questions had a list of answers which were all incorrect. The question was What year did Disney open a park near Paris. The correct answer is 1992 but the answer on here was 1993. Google and Amazon Alexa both state 1992.

### 2/5 — Ridiculous first question

*2024-11-29, version 1.2.1*

I was asked how many languages the people of South Africa’s speak. What? The answers where 1 2 5 and 11. Forgive me if I’m wrong but the first questions on the show are more “what’s colour is the sky” and less if those nonsense first question.

### 3/5 — No fastest finger first

*2024-11-08, version 1.2.1*

Not bad, but disappointed there is no fastest finger first round. Should have checked before I bought it!

### 3/5 — 16,000 not 1,000

*2024-05-17, version 1.2.0*

I’m disappointed when I set 16,000 as a safety net but it only give 1,000 in the end! Don’t know why…

### 3/5 — Frustrating

*2024-04-21, version 1.2.0*

Like others the price of the questions. You will almost always need to use a lifeline to get to £1000 which is not right. 50/50 is also completely useless. Nearly every time I have used it is because there are two obvious wrong answers and two that I’m
Not sure about and every time it has removed the two Obvious answers. In this app it is most definitely not random. Phone a friend also only seem to work up until about 64000. After that it will Almost always just say I can only rule one out.

### 3/5 — Good but questions are unbalanced

*2024-04-20, version 1.2.0*

It would be better if the questions weren’t so difficult for the level they were at.

 Example:
For £100: Which character did Judi Dench play in ‘The Quantum of Solace’?

 I’d say that’d belong in… Question 8 to 10 territory.

And also, the questions are a bit too easy as well.

 Example 2:
For £32,000: What is the background colour of the Tunisian flag? That should be, at most, Question 6.

I would sort of like it if the questions were easier on the 100-1,000 level like it works in the actual show, then they gradually get harder as you climb.

I like the features where you can set your 2nd safe landmark and that, my only grudge is that the questions are kind of unbalanced. I give this game a 7 out of 10.

### 4/5 — Best authentic Millionaire game on the App Store

*2024-04-10, version 1.2.0*

I’ve been looking for a good WWTBAM game on the go and I stumbled upon this. I was going to go for the free-to-play Millionaire Trivia but I heard it wasn’t very good - this game is at a very generous price and provides the best experience of playing Millionaire.

If I could make suggestions, it would be nice to hear the music that plays when you get a £100-£1000 question wrong from the original series (though I’m not sure if this has changed in the modern format), as well as the music that plays when the player walks off the stage when a game has finished regardless of whether they won or not (just for authenticity).

It would also be good if the questions were balanced out a bit more in the £100-£1000 range, some felt as though they belong in the range above.

There are also a few questions and answers that have some spelling mistakes - ‘Amazom’ being one of the answers to a question about which company is known for Gmail.

Other than that, this game is a recommendation!

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2024-04-04, version 1.2.0*

Being a great fan of the show I was looking forward to playing the app but the difficulty of the first questions up to £1,00 has spoilt it for me. Doesn’t give you much incentive and far harder than the Tv show. Also a lot of American questions too.

Update - another question for £1,000 - which show was Big Bird in had the wrong answer. It should be Sesame Street not The Muppet Show!

### 3/5 — Good concept, okay execution

*2024-03-29, version 1.1.6*

I’m a Millionaire buff, I’ll be honest. So when I found out about Millionaire Champions, I was looking forward to seeing what’s behind a relatively ludicrous £1.99 price tag.

First of all, let’s talk about the gameplay. You can play classic Millionaire, 15 questions and 4 lifelines: 50-50, Phone a Friend, Ask the Audience and Switch the Question (Flip). They decided to introduce the “Set your Safety Net” feature from the Jeremy Clarkson version which is good. The questions themselves are very interesting. I’ve had a lot of games where the £200 questions can be ridiculous hard for a so-called “easy” question yet the £125,000 question can be something you learn in primary school. The randomisation of the questions needs sorting. Also, you can have a game with mostly questions that need to be £32,000+ questions but the next game can be too easy if you get what I mean. I get that it’s easy if you know it but I feel like some questions 9 out of 10 can get right and bag £125,000 easily and 1 out of 10 will probably go away with nothing or use 1 or more lifelines on the £200 question. Sometimes, the games can be balanced so it’s not all bad.

Then we get to the lifelines. Pretty important to the game. 50-50 feels so petty sometimes because you can be left with the 2 most likely answers most of the time but it’s useful at times. Phone a Friend is always useful to me, I don’t think I’ve ever been misled by the lifeline. However, I do think it should be updated to make it more realistic, like 50% sure or not sure at all. It’s always 80%+. Ask the Audience is the most realistic, the best lifeline all round to be honest. Switch is just there. You can only do so much with Switch.

I feel like they should introduce different currencies other than £ (like €,$,¥ etc.) and introduce different languages so it can be more global. I know it was quite dislike but I think they should allow for the player to have the timer like they did late on in the Chris Tarrant version and some of the syndicated US version because it can test the mind of the player even more.

Then we get to Millionaire Champions, the second game mode. This is very creative, it allows you to replay some games from players in real life who won £250,000 or £500,000. I like this mode because those games typically go under the radar in comparison to the millionaire runs. They should definitely think of expanding this mode to make it even more fun.

That’s basically the game. I feel like they should add more to the game (not too much like the other Millionaire app) because it feels so empty at times. Other than the gameplay, you can look at how much money you’ve won, how you rank amongst other players in terms of wealth, time to get to 1k on average and average win. That’s cool but there are players that win stupid money that no one can overtake which makes me suspect that they’re cheating. Sadly, there’s no reward for coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd so there’s no point. I feel like Game Centre achievements should be added to the game, that would be good.

Overall, this game is hit or miss, good concepts and good gameplay, but the execution can be mediocre. It’s better than the other Millionaire app though.

3/5

### 3/5 — Good if it had the correct answers!

*2024-03-28, version 1.1.6*

Big Bird was on Sesame Street NOT The Muppets! Shame on the editors of this game.
The game is advertised on the British TV show but it’s clearly made for the US market and the questions are biased. Plus, the first under £1000 questions sometimes include a tough one, unlike the easy TV equivalent.

### 3/5 — Graphics are great, question selection needs work!

*2024-03-24, version 1.1.6*

Firstly, I love the feel of the game and the ‘Champions’ element.

There are major issues with the question selection, however. Some questions are far too difficult for the value of the prize. The first five questions should generally not require too much brainpower - yet I’m finding that some asked might be better placed in the second or third five.

Also had an issue with the lifelines where, after having taken a 50:50, the audience only voted on the two answers that had been removed. That was a one-off though.

In summary, lovely graphics and feel, but questions need re-sorting as to where in the cash ladder they should be asked.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Good graphics, poor questions

*2026-02-24, version 1.2.1*

The questions are incredibly hard compared to the show. No thought put into the question difficulty whatsoever. My £200 question was: via what manoeuvre does a sailing boat make progress into the wind!?

### 1/5 — So Lazy

*2025-03-04, version 1.2.1*

A lazily made app that randomly provides questions that are far too difficult for the pre-£1000 question. This means you will have games where you have to use lifelines early, ruining the entire realism and potential success in the game. Refund requested.

### 1/5 — unrealistic questions

*2025-01-01, version 1.2.1*

would be a great game but asking me about species of whale and difficult motor sport questions on the open 5 questions is silly. can always answer first 5 questions watching millionaire but asking 64k questions at the star is ridiculous.

update- asking a question about where you can get schnitzel i clicked germany answer was austria. this show is not meant to have trick questions

### 1/5 — Too hard

*2024-11-22, version 1.2.1*

I’m sorry, but the first few questions are like the £32,000 questions on the real show! I can normally get to £16-£32k questions with ease, but some of the £200 questions are so hard! Lower the bar guys, it’s just not fun

### 1/5 — Terrible question weighting

*2024-11-17, version 1.2.1*

Questions don’t seem to start easy and then get harder. All questions are medium to hard difficulty throughout

### 1/5 — Stupid game

*2024-02-26, version 1.1.6*

£300 question - “how many official languages does South Africa have?” Are the people organising the questions sniffing glue?! What a complete waste of £1.99.

### 1/5 — Question difficulty level is a massive problem

*2024-01-29, version 1.1.5*

I was asked which mythology the god Osiris belongs to for £300. I’ve been asked advanced knowledge questions at £100. On the show, people are asked stupidly easy questions until at least £1000. This needs to change to make it realistic. As it stands, worst £1.99 I’ve spent in a long time.

### 1/5 — Not worth the £1.99

*2024-01-29, version 1.1.5*

I paid for this game but it’s really very disappointing. Yes it’s an ok game but it’s the type of game I would expect to be free. Not worth paying for. It really is nothing special. I have played better quiz games that are free.

### 1/5 — Alisson Becker

*2023-12-09, version 1.1.4*

I was enjoying this game and was very happy with it until i got to a question on the nationality of the goalkeeper alisson becker. I knew he was the Brazilian Liverpool keeper. I put Brazilian and it said i was wrong and that he was german. Even though i knew i was correct i had to look it up and double check! Of course i was correct. This doesn’t give me confidence in the developers especially with more difficult questions. How can I possibly trust that i got a question wrong in future. The the back of my mind I’ll constantly be second guessing the computer. Honestly this has ruined the enjoyment of this game for me.

### 2/5 — Good but flawed

*2026-01-06, version 1.2.1*

Nicely put together game with good graphics but the early questions are ludicrously difficult. Some of the £100-£1,000 questions are really £8k/16k/32k category. Spoils an otherwise good game.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Millionaire App

*2026-03-28, version 1.2.1*

Yes it’s a lot better than it used to be… :) 10/10…

### 5/5 — Best game ever

*2025-08-26, version 1.2.1*

Bravo bravo you have captured the show perfectly

### 5/5 — How do I access my previous games

*2025-07-18, version 1.2.1*

The question was “‘Ponte is the Italian word for what?” I meant to tap Bridge (correct answer), When I Accidentally Tapped Church (Incorrect Answer). Is there any way I can regain access to the game just because I misclicked or…….?

### 5/5 — Who Wants To Be A Millionare

*2025-02-22, version 1.2.1*

Who Wants To Be A Millionare Very Good Game

### 5/5 — Playing millionaire

*2024-08-27, version 1.2.1*

Good fun , improves knowledge

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2024-04-25, version 1.2.0*

I would say this is the closest your getting to the real tv show, from the music to the effects and everything else unlike all the other rubbish out on the App Store, plus it doesn’t force you to answer the questions in a set time your allowed to have time to think and enjoy the game. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Love watching the show, love this app

*2024-04-18, version 1.2.0*

Very closely modelled on the real show. Challenging questions after the first safety net. The lifelines are very well done and reflect reality.

### 5/5 — Add Fastest Finger First Game Mode

*2024-04-05, version 1.2.0*

Can Fastest Finger First Game Mode be added to this game? This will make the game experience much better because it’s very competitive round before you start the classic game. Can you please add this feature to this next update? Besides that, everything is great! Keep it up with the updates for this great game!

### 5/5 — Best game ever!

*2023-11-19, version 1.1.3*

Keeping my mind active. 🧠

### 5/5 — Great game

*2023-11-18, version 1.1.3*

Love the show love the game
