Why not have an option to convert to an accepted format on upload? Given the choice of converting hundreds of photos manually or going elsewhere… I’m going elsewhere. ### 3/5 — Decent alternative *2023-11-30, version 2.2* Since apple’s elimination of the in-app photo book creation feature, Mimeo has been a good alternative. However, after having made several projects throughout the years, Mimeo discontinued my account without notifying me, making it almost impossible to purchase projects that I created 😢. (Note: can’t buy your projects without an account: no buy as guest option). In addition, I encountered issues accessing photos saved to my iPhone (using 14 Pro Max), but found work arounds to resolve this. Also discovered that Mimeo:Print Your memories & Mimeo Photo are the same exact app…. The switch over was seamless and I always get quick responses from support if I do have a question. Already printed 10 photo books for personal use and every one who seems them are impressed by the quality. It’s worth the time to learn how to use this app. Over and over again. ### 5/5 — Pure professional results! *2023-09-24, version 2.2* I’m certified as a professional photographer in my retirement after a lifetime with corporate Wall St firms but indulge purely as a passionate pursuit while traveling around the world. For years I’ve had my travel and lifestyle photography published by Apple because their product was superb. When Apple discontinued the photo production business I had to find a quality alternative only to realize MIMEO Photos was Apple’s photo book producer! I stayed with them and now after a dozen or two more of photo books with them can say that you won’t get a more professional product (and not just photo books) for the money! Their online help is instantaneous with whatever project you’re working on…..if needed at all as it’s entirely intuitive. ### 5/5 — Excellent Customer Service *2023-09-21, version 2.2* I have used Mimeo since Apple stopped making their iPhoto books available Just recently I uploaded two projects whilst on vacation in Asia The internet connection was weak and several times the upload froze and finally in both cases the project upload appeared to have failed but in both cases my CC was charged Upon return home I contacted Mimeo directly to get clarity on what was happening The service was outstanding It was quick clear accurate and most importantly totally understanding of my issue which they resolved immediately I could not be more happy Truly excellent customer service Thanks ### 5/5 — Fabulous product *2023-09-02* Great and timely service resulting in a lovely photo book. Never buying from them on the principle that they don’t have a phone number to call. Extremely inconvenient and indicates how much they care about customers. ### 1/5 — Great products, terrible app *2025-08-14, version 2.4.0* I’ve used Mimeo for years and love their cards. But the app (iPadOS, iOS, and web) simply refuses to load saved projects. Beware all those who previously created projects on Motif ### 1/5 — Not great service *2023-07-19, version 2.1.71* Not happy that I had to chose this app to print my photos from the Mac photo app. First they charge before your project is uploaded and confirmed. My first project did not upload properly and resulted in a refund request, by the time I submitted again I had basically paid twice. App is not user friendly or intuitive.The service has taken almost 2 weeks. My order has not been delivered, apparently it was shipped to the wrong address, support is remote and has taken several days to respond and as of yet, they don’t know where my order is. By comparison, google photos has gotten similar orders sent within 24 hours. Hoping to get a refund at this point and start again with a different service. Do not recommend. ### 1/5 — Do not use. Appalling service. Missing cards. *2023-06-20, version 2.1.71* I created a card, it was a cumbersome process but completed ok. I ordered it to be sent in time for an 80th birthday. To ensure this I paid for their “best and fastest” shipping. I received a confirmation same say that the card was “out for delivery”. More than week later this card has not be delivered and more worryingly I left three messages with the so called “help” team without so much as a reply. Not even an auto reply. Disgusted. ### 1/5 — This app is now useless *2023-04-20, version 2.1.71* Over the years I’ve made projects using this app and it worked well. But recently I spent time creating a calendar with this app only to be met with error message after error message when I attempted to order the calendar. I tried Mimeo customer support and none of their solutions worked. One Mimeo customer support solution I didn’t try was to download an app cleaner that was not in the Mac App Store. I wasn’t sure I could trust it. This app wasted far too many hours of my time without any resolution. If Mimeo can’t fix the glitches in its app so that it can work with Apple’s IOS then it needs to be pulled from the App Store. ### 1/5 — Lost hours of work *2021-12-28, version 2.1.52* Spent hours creating photobooks only to eventually get booted out, get an error message and it will not work anymore. Tried deleting the app and restarting my Mac. Nothing worked. If I try to login in elsewhere it has no record of my saved projects. The paper is very thick, the book itself is quite sturdy, and it comes in a nice box. ### 5/5 — Calendar *2026-01-30, version 2.4.0* I get a calendar every year and have done for the last 4 years. Great service, great templates, great quality, just great. The only negative is I wish they did other products like mugs tshirts or socks!! But the cards calendars and books than they do provide are truly first class. ### 5/5 — Fantastic results! *2026-01-23, version 2.4.0* I had previously used Motif in the past for a European adventure with fantastic results. Myself, daugher and granddaughter all took pictures from our iPhones while traveling to France. I was actually able to create the photo book on my iPhone with amazing results. Since I had used Motif in the past I understood what the symbols meant to create. It is a bit harder on the phone than on the desktop only due to the visual amount of content you can see but it works. The program has many layouts for pictures should you choose to create yourself, or you can choose Mimeo to create the book and placement of pictures. The program even warns you if the actual pic will not show properly at the size you chose so you can change the size till the pic will have high quality. I highly recommend Mimeo for any type of books you would like to create!! I had only one question for customer service which was answered promptly to my satisfaction. I recently used them for a photo Christmas card and once again, great quality product. Mimeo Photos is my go to for any photo project. ### 5/5 — Exceptional Calendar *2025-12-18, version 2.4.0* I have used Mimeo for several years to produce a wall calendar. The app is mostly easy to use, provides for lots of photo display options, and indicates low resolution photos. The product is beautifully produced and is always a hit. ### 5/5 — Egypt Photo Book 2025 *2025-05-02, version 2.3* I was very impressed how easy it was to put together this photo book to capture the highlights of an amazing trip. It was so easy to change the layout for each page and switch photos as desired. The final product turned out so much better than I expected. All the pictures I had taken were on my iPhone and I put together the entire 11x8.5 hardcover photo book on my iPhone as well. This way I could work on it as little or as long as I had time for and go back when convenient. They also were very accommodating when I hadn’t saved the title on the spine of the book and sent me two book covers with the title on the spine for free (as I originally had ordered two books for myself and my daughter). When Apple bailed, I started using Mimeo. It is excellent. After 8-10 years of making books, I have some improvements they could make but by far is the best app out there. The quality of the books and cards is EXCEPTIONAL and I adore their customer service team! It ended up being over 50 pages of photos, but the "flat lie" options was a very nice surprise to ensure the integrity of all photos in the book.
