### 3/5 — Платное приложение

*2026-10-16, version 12.31.0*

### 4/5 — Review for Mimo from a student

*2026-10-15*

Mimo is a great app for learning coding! The lessons are fun, interactive, and easy to understand. It’s perfect for beginners and makes learning new skills enjoyable. I really like the simple design and hands-on practice. I wish more features were available for free, but overall, it’s a very useful app. Highly recommended! ❤️

### 4/5 — What about sabbath?

*2026-10-15, version 12.31.0*

I need a break on weekends. Can’t you do something like, a full weekday of revision qualifies you for a weekend pass to keep your streak.

### 4/5 — Easy to start

*2026-10-14, version 12.31.0*

Easy to understand but I have done a little beginner things before.
The free version could be better. It doesn’t let you do much for the day. Even if your not messing up it only lets you do so much a day.

### 3/5 — Great tool

*2026-10-09, version 12.30.0*

Is great so far 4 stars because I don’t have full experience

### 4/5 — Mimo

*2026-10-03, version 12.29.0*

Ive been using this for some time and it works and is helpful but today for no apparent reason it just reset all my progress which is really frustrating because it doesn’t give the option to skip ahead so please fix this

### 5/5 — I think I’m off is my power authority two of the same domains downloading at the same time? Help me.

### 5/5 — Having fun

*2026-10-01, version 12.29.0*

I keep messing up, learning from mistakes; and going back through and exercising my capacities. I’m having fun and learning. I take my dog out, I open the app; I learn 1-5 things and I solidify 2-3 everytime, every day.

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2026-09-29, version 12.29.0*

It’s a really good app and great for beginners and it’s fun i love it

### 4/5 — Amazing

*2026-09-29, version 12.29.0*

This app is amazing though I do wish you could do more lessons a day

### 5/5 — Um excelente app pra aprender a programar!

*2026-09-29*

Eu amo o Mimo 🩷

### 5/5 — Excellent Customer Service

*2026-09-28*

This is an excellent little app to keep coding syntax in your head and learn the ropes. Not only that, but they have an excellent and quick customer service team who are eager to help.

When I thought I was about to be charged for a subscription I couldn’t afford and due to a technical error couldn’t cancel, they came through for me and no questions asked cancelled the subscription and recurring payments, and thanked me for my time with them.

When I have the funds again I will surely be back. Highly recommend.

**Developer response:** From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying your coding journey with us. ### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-09-27, version 12.28.0*

Ive never known how to code, and this app helped a LOT, thank you!!

### 3/5 — Teaches bad practices

*2026-09-26, version 12.28.0*

I downloaded this after graduation with a degree in computer science to have something to keep me from getting rusty.

I can’t help but notice that:

1. The HTML section does not explain semantics at all
2. Encourages people to use heading levels for styling
3. Suggests using <br> for line breaks instead of a new <p> tag
4. Does little to explain the document object model.
5. Uses dark patterns to push people into paid plans.

I suspect these lesson plans are created by AI or people with little training in the subject.

I think the concept of Duolingo for coding is great, but I have little faith in this platform because the content is low quality and reinforces bad habits early.

I would advise anyone who is new to coding not use this app until the content quality is checked for correctness. I’m by no means a subject matter expert… if I’m able to find issues with a BSc in computer science, I can only imagine what actual experts in the field would say.

### 5/5 — Please fix

*2026-09-26, version 12.28.0*

I try to open the app and for odd reason it won’t start again
I have not been doing it so it say’s “mino missed you tap to come back ” and then I tap it and then it’s stuck on a loading screen
And for 3 HOURS OF TIME it sill won’t work 😞

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Oops! Something went wrong

*2026-10-12*

First screen and only message: oops something went wrong

**Developer response:** Hi! We're sorry to hear things didn't go smoothly. Please try logging out and then logging in again; this should resolve the issue. ### 1/5 — Stop asking

*2026-10-11, version 12.30.0*

Good app, but asked for a review one too many times.

### 1/5 — Unclear packages

*2026-10-07, version 12.30.0*

Mimo started great. Free app that you can upgrade to learn coding better. I used to be able to use the website to do my lessons for free. I upgraded to pro and a few months later it tells me that I have to upgrade to max to be able to use the website. What if I like to use the keyboard for typing code than the phone app? It’s ridiculous and I won’t renew my subscription next year

### 1/5 — Não compensa! O aplicativo é bom, porém, para quem pretende usar a versão gratuita, é limitado total

*2026-10-07*

Não compensa! O aplicativo é bom, porém, para quem pretende usar a versão gratuita, ele é superlimitado.

**Developer response:** Hey, good news — Mimo is still mostly free! We believe learning should be accessible to everyone. The premium stuff (ad-free, certificates, exclusive projects) is what keeps the app alive. And as we grow, we'll keep adding more free content too. Thanks for supporting what we do!

### 1/5 — Do not believe they will tell you

*2026-10-04, version 12.29.0*

Do not trust the app that tells you your trial will come to the end. I set it to remind me and it did not £68 gone and no refund due to be been eligible.

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-09-21, version 12.28.0*

They basically scammed me. Offered me a free trail message saying I had 7 days trial but didn’t mention I had already used a trial in the past so they immediately charged 80 dollars and did not activate the trial. When I contacted apple they said it didn’t activate because I had already used a trial at some point in the past. My issue was why would they offer another trial in app as if to lure me to sign up when they only allow one trial. It’s misleading and they know exactly what they’re doing.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-09-08, version 12.26.0*

They charged me while says try two weeks free yet the charge automatic 1 year subscription before two weeks were up!

### 1/5 — Gated

*2026-09-06, version 12.25.0*

Imagine a school that charges you every time you turn a page in a textbook. That's the experience you'll get with this app.

### 1/5 — FALSE ADVERTISING AS FREE APP!!!

*2026-09-03, version 12.25.0*

THIS APP IS NOT FREE ANYMORE!! I used to use this app everyday but now it is mandatory to pay for premium if you want to code for more than 5 minutes. They got rid of the heart system which let you go until you ran out of hearts and now each mini lesson is locked with a “key” that you have to pay money to keep attempting lessons. I already uninstalled and recommend you do not use this app unless your are willing to pay for premium.

### 1/5 — App not loading

*2026-09-03, version 12.25.0*

As of a few days ago the app has stopped working and the devs haven’t communicated anything about it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This makes coding make sense

*2026-10-14, version 12.31.0*

I’m a kid riding this review and coding is really really really really really really really really really confusing but this actually makes it more easier to learn than the stuff they try to teach you in computer class

### 5/5 — Language learning for code

*2026-10-12, version 12.31.0*

Uses the same learning theory used for learning languages. Slow steps. Repetitive, restated learning building on itself using what you learned before to conceptualize and critically think through new knowledge. There was a piece that clearly expected to have to refresh me on basic math logic, but it went by quickly.

### 5/5 — Level 2

*2026-10-12, version 12.31.0*

Great

### 5/5 — Why I love this game so much

*2026-10-11, version 12.30.0*

It easily teaches me how to program I love the way it teaches me how to program and code slowly and step-by-step rather than all at once

### 5/5 — Python

*2026-10-08, version 12.30.0*

Mimo helps me a lot with python for my future trading job

### 5/5 — Formerly flawless. Now, corporate and replaceable.

*2026-10-06, version 9.35.0*

Mobile MIMO once let you go through a whole certification course on something like python for free. If you wanted unlimited sandboxing, or infinite retries, or special bot lessons, then you could pay to get additional value.

If you just wanted to learn and wait for your hearts to replenish while you go do your schooling or working or living, you could do that. Free.

It was epic. Quirky, fun, simple. Unique.

Either the devs went corporate and now answer to shareholders, or they are struggling to keep this juggernaut standing, or they just got greedy.

Now, you can sample the first lesson of any language, and if you want more, you must subscribe to do literally anything further. It is no longer pay to add value. It is pay to do anything at all.

Now, this isn’t necessarily a problem if you really enjoy the platform. It does make bite sized modules very intuitive to learn. It is a lot of fun.

However in a world where everyone is charging monthly to do anything on their platform (also after a paltry “sample”), it’s hard to stay loyal to any one platform.

### 5/5 — Day One

*2026-10-06, version 12.30.0*

Easy peasy

### 5/5 — Good coding app

*2026-10-05, version 12.30.0*

I work 40 and am trying to learn coding and the app to build my learn at work

### 5/5 — Adding C++

*2026-10-04, version 12.29.0*

Thank you to the developers and all involved in creating Mimo!

I highly recommend Mimo for those who are wanting to learn different programming languages because Mimo makes it easy to understand its concepts. The application is clean, modern and professional, in addition, you have your own text code editor within Mimo that has its own AI assistant that is super effective and can help you write code if needed so.

For the developers: I understand the challenges that come with software development, however I wanted to ask if you’ll be adding material for C++? At the minimum, I would truly appreciate support for the C++ language in the editor and coursework could come much later if you’re able to do so. I having to use another app for C++ editing and I really want to just keep it all within Mimo because Mimo does it best.

Either way, thank you for making Mimo. I appreciate your work.

### 5/5 — Programación

*2026-10-04, version 12.29.0*

Es una app que se puede recomendar me gusto la experiencia y me a ayudado mucho a mejorar con la programación
