I love the guided sleep episodes, they actually help! But lately the app has been crashing as soon as I press play. It’s not worth paying a subscription fee for an app that won’t work. And to top it off, I reached out to the company via the email they provided in the app and got an “unable to deliver” message back. As soon as that happened I cancelled my subscription. It’s unfortunate because I actually used this app and it actually helped me sleep better. ### 1/5 — :0 *2020-05-14, version 2.0.5* okay so i always expect to need to pay on these apps (which is dumb since it’s for your HEALTH but anyway!!) however this time i was more surprised than usual. this time, not at the price! but at the fact that the app doesn’t offer ANYTHING for free! you have a week (7 days) for a free trial but after that you need to pay. tbh i don’t enjoy this pressure. you’re running like netflix and that bothers me for some reason (i haven’t slept properly for 2 weeks i’m sorry) if you’d had even 1 bedtime story free that i could listen to now and after my trial without paying i’d be so happy. now i’m mad because i feel basically pressured into paying if i enjoy the free trial. if you made some of your selection available all the time for anyone and everyone i think it would help you. that’s what headspace does and i honestly love that app. i’ve used it for 3 years now! you? i’ve used your app for 2 minutes !!!! your layout, titles and covers are all nice. i can’t say anything about the voices or anything else though. sorry for the rant, i’m in an awful mood. have a nice day :) ### 4/5 — Very Good *2020-05-09, version 2.0.5* I really like this app. I find the hypnosis and bed time stories on it really help me to fall asleep. However, I think that the app needs to make more bed time stories and sleeping hypnosis.New ones should be added at least every couple of months. ### 3/5 — Some good content not enough variety. *2020-04-01, version 2.0.5* I liked a few of the mind cleanse sleep hypnosis programs and found them helpful. Like other reviewers, I experienced technical glitches on several tracks which is unacceptable when attempting deep relaxation or hypnosis. These sound like little “cuts” in the track or stutters (I did shut off phone, erase and reload app etc). In addition, there are approx 20 guided sleep/hypnosis programs which is not enough when you use them nightly. Also I decided not to continue my subscription as the content is lead by only 5 or 6 providers. So if you don’t connect with somebody’s voice or style, your selection is even further limited. The meditation music tracks are all buggy and I mostly couldn’t get them to work. The app itself is glitchy and hard to use as well as never having any updated content. There are a few solid tracks on it which is what sold me on it in the first place; however, the volume isn’t uniform on most of them and makes some tracks nearly useless even in a fairly quiet room. Save your money and look elsewhere for some more reputable and consistent meditation apps. This is the first app review I’ve ever written, it’s that bad. ### 3/5 — Sleep sounds need work *2019-12-19, version 2.0.4* There is nothing more frustrating then being lulled to sleep just to be randomly snapped out of it every two minutes because the sound track doesn’t loop and merge into itself but rather cuts off suddenly for a few beats then starts playing again. Do not sign up for Free Trial *2019-12-13, version 2.0.3* I signed up and canceled in the timeframe provided and was still charged the year subscription!!! The app won’t allow you to manage your subscription or delete you account. I canceled through the App Store and was still charged and Apple can’t do anything to change it. ### 1/5 — Nothing is free *2019-11-19, version 2.0.3* I downloaded the app because I saw an add for it. Saw the reviews thought that I was in for a treat. I couldn’t find a single track that was free everything is locked behind a paywall. I can’t tell you if it’s good or not because I can’t even try a single track for free to see what they are offering. The UI is good but no idea about content. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t let u try anything. *2019-11-15, version 2.0.3* I’m not spending $60 on something I could YouTube for free. The “manage subscriptions” link within the app doesn’t work-as many others have complained about in their reviews as well (discovered this after downloading). Fortunately I was able to figure out how to cancel within the App Store. That is very shady and completely ridiculous that the manage subscriptions link in the app is the ONLY feature that conveniently does not work.
