## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.5 — 2026-09-10

The score is right the first time

The number you saw at the end of a round was worked out differently from the one the leaderboard stored: the app used the round's average answer time, while the server scores each answer on its own. If you spent a while on one question and answered the rest quickly, the figure on screen could come out lower than what you had actually earned — and then correct itself a moment later, once the server's number arrived.

The app now scores the way the server does. The number you see is the number that counts. Nothing was lost along the way; the leaderboard has had the right total all along.

Every game mode is visible when you create a multiplayer game

The modes sat in a row you had to drag sideways, so most people never saw there was more than the first three. They are now equally sized tiles, all of them, with nothing to drag. Start level can be picked for Pi as well — there it decides which decimal the game begins at.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-09-10

"Personal best" means a personal best again

The badge at the end of a round appeared nearly every time you scored anything at all. It was measured against zero rather than against your own best round, so it said nothing — and a badge that always shows is not worth looking for.

It now appears only when the round actually beat your best in that mode. The first round you play in each mode after updating sets the baseline, so that one will show it.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-09

Fixes to wording, numbers and readability

"Member since" on your own profile showed the same date to everyone. However long you had been here, it read April 2025. It now shows the date you actually joined — in the same form as on other people's profiles.

The scoreboard's tab said "Last 30 days" but listed all-time bests. The list was right and the name was wrong, so the tab now says what it is.

Another player's profile drew progress and friends as long lists. Both are grids now, like the ones on your own home screen, and the friends are tappable — each one opens that profile. Pi is no longer given a level: a position in Pi is a digit number, not a level, and now reads "Digit 100 → 150".

In light mode the selected range on the scoreboard was invisible. The marker was a pale tone chosen for a dark background; it is legible in both now.

Counts that read wrong at one are fixed: "1 question" in the answer review, "1 day in a row" at the end of a round, "1 round" on the scoreboard, "1 decimal" in Pi, and "Changes in 1 day" on a mode about to rotate out.

The activity feed reads as English again. Rows about you opened with "You're on a" no matter what they were about — "You're on a reached level 5 in Geography". They now read "You reached level 5 in Geography". The streak row is the only one that still opens with "You're on a", because it is the only sentence those words belong to.

Pi and Math no longer carry the button for reporting a question. Both generate their problems on the device, so there is no content to report. The knowledge modes keep it.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-21

Mixed
A new mode that shuffles questions from all the others together. Each question names the category it came from, so you know whether you are in chemistry or history — but not what is coming next. Mixed has a ladder of its own, and draws questions at your level in Mixed rather than at your level in whichever category the question happened to come from.

You get to see the answer
Answer wrong and the correct answer stays on screen for a moment — along with the explanation, where the mode has one. It moves on by itself, and a tap skips ahead the instant you have read it. Including on the wrong answer that ends a round, which until now was the one you never got to see.

What the session was worth
Save or end a round and the app now tells you how many steps closer to the next level you got. If there were more wrong answers than right ones, it says that too — and why, rather than showing a bar that appears to have sat still.

Look back at your answers
Under Mastery on your profile you can open a level you have finished and see the questions you were asked. The ones you missed show your answer and the correct one, side by side.

Reply on your own feedback
Send us feedback and, if we ask you something about it, you can now answer right there under "My feedback" in Settings. The whole exchange stays in one place.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-14

See how far you've come – across every category.

NEW
• Total progress: every level you've earned, added up across all categories and shown on your profile so friends can see it too.
• Unlimited favourites. The home screen grows to fit as many as you pick, instead of stopping at two.
• Invite friends: share a card with your name and a link to the app, straight from "Play a friend".
• A quicker first level-up. The threshold starts lower and rises with your level, so the first step is actually within reach.

IMPROVED
• Resuming a saved game now counts all your points – not just the ones you scored after resuming.
• The weekly friends leaderboard finally appears under Total once you have five friends or more.
• The leaderboard shows real positions when you search.
• Today's challenge is always visible on the home screen.
• Your friends list no longer empties itself.
• Accepting an invitation always takes you into the game.
• Signing in on a new device no longer signs you out on the others.
• The daily quota resets at your own midnight.
• Notifications arrive at a sensible hour wherever you are.
