### 5/5 — Dope app

*2025-01-29*

Loch Kelly packs heat. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially those with ADHD.

**Developer response:** Hi Bev dawgg, thanks for your recommendation! We're glad to hear Loch's teachings have been impactful in your life.

### 5/5 — Insomnia is gone

*2024-12-20*

This app has really surprised me with its effectiveness. Slowly, after glimpsing daily for a month or two, I realized that my longstanding insomnia was gone. This was something I had struggled with for years and suddenly- gone! All I was doing was exactly what most of the glimpses start with, just unhook from thinking and drop down, and focus on staying down. This had become natural and easy to me by that point. Because I also read two of Loch’s books, these concepts and the specific wording that Loch uses help me apply the concepts to life as I go through my day.

**Developer response:** Hi tskeresponsibilty, we are happy to hear that Mindful Glimpses have been so effective in helping you with your insomnia. Thanks for you kind feedback. Best wishes in 2025!

### 5/5 — Loch Kelly is a great guy

### 5/5 — Most grateful for this amazing resource

*2024-09-02*

On a winding spiritual path with a regular meditation practice for over 40 years, I developed deeply in some ways and have found big blind spots in others, and in recent years have struggled with anxiety.
Loch’s work has helped me — from the very first glimpse — experience an inner connectedness and profound sense of peace and wellbeing. I am able to live much of my day from a new place. This work is now part of my daily life.
Loch’s integration of ancient wisdom practices with modern psychology and neuroscience is an enormous gift to the world at a time we can really use it.
And this app is a GREAT resource. The glimpses, the classes, the dialogues — there is so much here.
I recommend this to anyone who has an interest in this area, whether you have years of experience or none at all.
Thank you, Loch.
You are truly a bodhisattva!

**Developer response:** Hi Pittsburgh CMC - we are glad that you are finding value in Loch's teachings and in the Mindful Glimpses app! Thank you for sharing the impact that "glimpsing" has had on your daily life and for your recommendation.

### 5/5 — Transformational

*2024-08-06*

What Loch Kelly (and team) have developed is so much more than standard meditation practiced in the western sense. His approach, with practice, enables to find a much more peaceful, calm, courageous way to LIVE. This app has so much depth of teaching, some really good learning pathways, it truly is a gift at the price. You also get some introductions to internal family systems. IFS combined with Glimpses is so powerful and transformational. Enjoy.

**Developer response:** We’re thrilled to hear that our Mindful Glimpses app has given you access to a more peaceful and courageous way to live. Your transformative experience is why we do what we do. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!

### 5/5 — Very effective

*2023-12-29, version 1.5*

Possibly the most effective guided mediations that that are available anywhere, which better Articulate how to enter an awareness of the force, god or transcendence. Experience peace of mind and a new perspective like never before! Highly recommended and incredibly effective.

### 5/5 — Heart Medicine

*2023-12-19*

In this new Mindful Glimpses app, Loch and his team have assembled a treasure trove of tools for relieving suffering at its root. This app provides many different entry points for people of different learning styles and capacities to access profound, non-dual, ancient wisdom. While this ancient wisdom has always been here, the tools have not been widely available to most people in the West. I am so grateful to Loch Kelly for opening this door, and that I am here to practice living from a timeless, imperishable awareness that also feels like home.

I’ve studied both of Loch’s books, attended many retreats on line and in person, and this new app includes an incredible compendium of sophisticated teachings, interviews, and simple practices and pointers for people who are completely new to meditation as well as for seasoned meditators. It is rich with short glimpses for any time of the day that can be saved as favorites. For longer contemplations, there are talks and interviews with instructions for deepening practice until I feel that click into vast and embracing awareness, again and again, which changes how I see. Over the years, I’ve shared these resources with many people, and this app will now be my first go-to for introducing others to this method.

For years, I wasn’t able to do traditional meditation without feeling far worse than when I’d started, even though I had very good teachers and instructions. I didn’t know why this was happening to me and I felt tremendous shame about this. When, in 2015, I stumbled onto an internet course offered by Loch Kelly through Tricycle, I felt relief, amazement and hope. While I had no words at the time to explain why, this discovery would change my life. I began to practice with Loch’s methods every day. I now understand that in that first glimpse, I had a taste of freedom from conditioned suffering. This initial glimpse had the power to relieve the root of my suffering by allowing me to recognize, feel and see from a fully awake awareness that was already there, and none other than who I was. It was a pointer that opened a door that had, until then, been firmly closed to me.

Since then, continuing these practices, they have given me and many others tools, for caring our minds, work and relationships that actually make things better. As a survivor of major complex trauma, I continue to heal within and without, at the same time. I am living into a deeper acquaintance with mystery and my own unique aliveness and creativity that naturally leads to more joy, interconnected love, compassion and engagement in social justice.

This is a timeless gift to all of us, and medicine that is urgently needed now.

**Developer response:** We’re thrilled to hear how our Mindful Glimpses app has impacted your journey and become a resource for your community. Your transformative experience is why we do what we do. Thanks for sharing this story with us!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2023-12-08*

This app provides a pathway to developing space from the thinking mind in a way I have never before experienced. It opens my heart to connection, empathy, and love.I am so grateful for these glimpses that I now practice on the elevator, on car rides, even in the midst of stressful meetings. Life changing.

**Developer response:** heath44er77 - Thank you so much for the review! We are so happy the app and teachings are resonating with you and appreciate having you as part of our community.

### 5/5 — US VETERAN

*2023-11-30, version 1.3*

Loch’s teachings save lives.

I am a US Army Veteran with severe PTSD and I wish they would just offer this directly to all Veterans at the VA Hospitals and to all active duty military service members. Luckily, I happened to bump into this during other Dharma study.

22 Veterans take their own lives everyday. I believe we could change that with these simple, felt-sense pointers. We could change it together if we told every Veteran we met about these methods.

I have personally shared this with other Veterans - every single one of them that will listen. I would shout it from the rooftops if I could or stand out in front of the VA hospital handing out pamphlets if they’d let me. Personally, I have used these teachings directly with severe PTSD and panic attacks - times where intense, effortful meditation was triggering serious panic attacks, preventing sleep and retraumatizing me in the midst of deep meditation! There’s a reason: check out Willoughby Briton’s work with Brown University on this and why the traumatized need to take directed, effortful meditative practices very slow, if at all. Deep, effortful meditation which breaks down the sense of a “you” straight away might unleash further trauma that has yet to be dealt with and safely integrated.

So, deep meditation isn’t always safe or recommended initially for the traumatized…

Enter Loch Kelly’s teachings / IFS:

It is great that these teachings dovetail into the Internal Family Systems therapy modality. I have watched Loch’s YouTube videos with Richard Schwartz on IFS and it was critical to know this practice would be safe for me. Loch has worked directly with the severely traumatized as well as general meditators and this is applicable for everybody, from every walk of life and every background. I have both of his books in print AND audiobook format. These teachings are THAT good, THAT direct. His voice is so soothing and tranquil that I listen even as I am falling asleep to keep renewing my understanding. You can feel his kindness and his authenticity through his words and I truly feel I can fully trust his deep understanding of people. (He’s worked with thousands of meditators by now as well as many numbers of traumatized patients in a clinical setting as well as in therapy in private practice.)

We have to start from a fundamental, basic feeling of wholeness and safety which this nondual teaching points us to. It works virtually instantly. I’m talking I could not leave the house and go into my back yard without panic. I just walked out there and cut a tree the other month like it was a breeze. So many Veterans have trouble even going outside. They’re like living ghosts. Often you can’t even find them in your community to reach out to them…

These techniques don’t mean I don’t still have some work to do, things still to be addressed - but this absolutely changes everything. This is hope. This is what Christ called the peace that passeth all understanding.

I had read the Tibetan’s teach of establishing this kind of awake awareness and that eventually the point is actually reaching stabilization - literally living from this stunning, relaxed, mentally unified, energized, NOT constantly fearful state. Well that’s great - but somebody please show me the literal HOW of neuro-biologically evoking this through some sort of intentional process. Somebody lay this out in a way that can be understood and initiated!

THAT is precisely the value of Loch’s felt-sense techniques versus endlessly reading the musings of the ancient Mystics describing their wondrous reality - the peace you would give your right arm to somehow find. Once you find your set of glimpses that completely stun you and evoke that felt sense of wholeness that you last knew as a young child, that total safety and deep relaxation that is also somehow totally energized and fully alive…

You may never see the world the same way again.

As a Disabled Veteran I have tried everything various cognitive behavioral therapies had to offer and none of them got to the root of the problem. None of them stopped my panic attacks. A few of them made my symptoms worse actually. These cognitive behavioral modalities can and absolutely do help so many people. However, for me, none of them really healed that deep, unnamed fear until I found Loch’s teaching methods.

Flow state therapy is only now being rediscovered and used to treat Veterans with severe disabilities - like surfing therapy getting Vets out into the ocean waves and the sun to move their bodies instead of being locked in dark rumination and painful memories. Well I can’t get on a surf board. My body is too broken even for that. But what can I do? I can glimpse. I can glimpse and glimpse and glimpse literally all day long until this peace and wholeness stabilizes for me and heals me completely from the inside. I contend this is the neurological equivalent of the brain states that are cycling through as you are surfing or rock climbing or sky diving. Put on a Muse Brain Sensing headband both before and after utilizing Loch’s teachings daily for a couple months and watch your brain waves change before your eyes. Watch them synchronize. You don’t need to hang off the side of a cliff or hope to bump into this one day a long time from now when you are somehow, hopefully happy.

This is precisely what the profoundly traumatized need. Eventually you have to come off that surf board and limp your way back home and then what do you do alone in the dark when the pain comes back? Eventually you have to come down off that rock face and function in the real world and not have a breakdown in the grocery store remembering your deployment to Iraq or your horrendous childhood. Well, if you know Loch’s methods, then you rest back into your own fundamental safety that cannot be threatened.

Then you finally know you are home.

Thank you so much Loch. Your work is literally saving Veteran’s lives. It saved mine.

### 5/5 — Mindful glimpses

*2023-11-24, version 1.3*

Lock kelly is a great teacher, his knowledge and techniques in deconstructing the self are exceptional. Mindful glimpses is an excellent tool that offers many programs on focus, emotions, happiness and stress…with daily new glimpses.
It is absolutely worth being a member of this app.

### 5/5 — Opening issue

*2023-11-14*

Not opening on iPhone 11 with iOS 17.1.
Updated ios 17.1.1 with no results. :)

**Developer response:** UPDATE: Hi again James. We released a new version of the app a couple days ago - v1.3.1 - if you go to the app store and find the app, you should see an option to update the app to the latest version - hopefully this addresses the issue. Hi James, We are so sorry the app is not working for you. We believe we have found the source of this issue and hope to release an update this week which should fix it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot cancel

*2026-01-04, version 1.7.5*

I have tried to cancel this several times. I just got my cc statement and noticed another $69.99 renewal fee. I cannot log into the app to try to cancel there again. I get a circular reply and so cannot open the app. Please advise me how to cancel and to be refunded.

### 1/5 — Poor quality app

*2024-04-01, version 1.5*

Content is OK but if you choose not to pay after the trial it’s impossible to disengage from it. Can’t delete account, support email bounces. The ideas and teachings he presents are great (if the way he articulates them hits the spot for you) but the app needs to be much higher quality for the subscription price. Very half-assed app!

### 2/5 — The content is great when I can access it

*2024-09-29*

First I got a message that it was a renewal issue ( since I’m auto renew that makes no sense ) so I tried to renew and got the message that I automatically renew in a month . Yes , I knew that . Yes I’ve reloaded app. Turned off phone.
As of now I don’t have access . I’ve contacted support before . Not really helpful . Also the daily glimpses get stuck on the same glimpse for days at time every few weeks . So I love the content but will not renew on October 8 because I can’t access it anyway

**Developer response:** Hi ascott1961 - we're sorry that your experience with the app was not up to your expectations. In this first iteration of the app, we are making improvements daily to enhance the user experience. I've sent your issues to our development team so that your feedback will help us to improve further.

### 2/5 — Frustrated and alienated

*2024-08-30*

I imagine this is great if you can already “unhook local awareness from thought” and enter “spacious awareness”, but if you can’t, listening to nothing but instructions that you are unable (so far) to follow eventually becomes an exercise in frustration and alienation. I’ve read Loch’s books, done the “start here” sequence on the app and been trying the glimpses for a month or so. There simply doesn’t seem to be a pathway in on the app for anyone not already there. And if you’re already there, why do you need the app? Still, I love Loch’s work and maybe one day the door will open.

**Developer response:** Hi aussenselter - we're sorry to hear that you are frustrated in furthering your practice with the app. In addition to the Intro/Start Here series, Loch has developed a 10 Doorways program that speaks to the different ways that people can best access the content according to their individual make up. We recommend trying each of these Doorways to see if there is one that works best for you.

### 2/5 — Didn’t connect with the content, but good app

*2023-12-01*

The app is very well laid out and easy to use—a lot of care went into the design and development and the devs, as you can see by the comments, are quite responsive.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t connect with the content. The presenter touts this supposedly new, meditation technique that he’s developed by studying with the “greatest meditation teachers” of our age, and yet the teachings are simply a smorgasbord of teachings from various traditions mixed together in bite-sized recordings. In the recordings themselves, he often tells you what he’s about teach, then walks you through an exercise, then tells you what the exercise did. There’s little room for your own thoughts, curiosity, and insight

That said, it might work for someone else. If not, I’d suggest trying Insight Meditation. It’s a low-dogma tradition that emphasizes mindfulness in real life (ie, not just on a cushion in a meditation hall). Good luck!

**Developer response:** Hi Blepcake, We apologize for any troubles you are having with the app. We just released a new version (1.3.1) to the app store which we believe will address the problem you are having - it was indeed a bug we've been working to fix.

### 3/5 — Activation not working

*2023-10-12*

Not receiving email activation

**Developer response:** Hello Stay Puft, We indeed were having issues with our email activations for a short time and did our best to quickly address them – we believe they have been resolved for all users but please contact us at support@mindfulglimpses.com if you are still having trouble. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.

### 4/5 — Great guidance and content

*2025-05-23*

Incredible guidance and content. The apps navigation could be improved to support better understanding of the different sections, and how to progress through content effectively.

**Developer response:** Hi critic44, thanks for your review! It's wonderful to hear that you are finding Loch's guidance and content to be valuable. Thanks also for your suggestions for the navigation. We're always interested in ways to improve the app interface, and I will send your comments to our development team.

### 4/5 — Love Loch but tech difficulties

*2024-05-10, version 1.5*

The ‘go back 15 seconds’ button skips me forward! It’s very frustrating as I often need to go back to hear what he said again, then it skips forward and I’m completely lost and have to start over.

### 4/5 — This work is great but please slow down!

*2023-11-29, version 1.3*

These meditations are amazing but the gaps between loch talking are not long enough to allow us to explore the practice. These meditations are sophisticated and not easy and it would be good if the talking over could slowed down. Give the guidance and allow more time for doing the glimpses and exploring our awareness. Please amend!

### 5/5 — Best app - best programs

*2025-08-05*

This app won best app award for many reasons. This app has phenomenal content. Loch is a true sage. I have taken many of his programs. I return to this app all the time.

**Developer response:** Hi Linda from over the pond, we are happy to hear how Loch's teachings resonate with you. His integration of Effortless Mindfulness and IFS provides a valuable resource for many. Thanks for you kind words!

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Remembering to Wake Up

*2025-04-08*

I appreciate Loch Kelly’s glimpse practices so much. This app is easy to use and I can search for brief guided practices or longer talks about IFS, non-dual practice, and living from awake loving awareness in daily life. As someone who has meditated on and off for almost 30 years and sat dozens of weeklong silent Insight meditation retreats, Loch’s teachings are on a whole other level. Accessible and open hearted.

**Developer response:** Hi bryony's book, it's wonderful to hear that you are finding value in the app and in Loch's teachings. Thanks for your lovely review!

### 5/5 — This is the real deal

*2025-03-20, version 1.7.1*

This app is packed with goodness. Loch Kelly is the real deal. His effortless mindfulness model, especially when combined with ifs work, will help you to a place of calm, peace, compassion. As loch teaches us(as others do as well) we are complete already - we just have to learn to re-recognise our already awake consciousness.

Do use the ifs and em combined meditations. Following the combined path is the most rewarding. Loch Kelly and Dick Schwartz. Two older white men all men can actually be proud of. The app was/still is an important part of my toolkit in my search for inner calm, peace and compassion to all(including myself).

### 5/5 — Life changing content, despite technical issues

*2025-03-06, version 1.7.1*

Lochs teachings have deeply affected me after practicing meditation for almost two decades. His integration of mindful glimpses with ifs , meditation with psychotherapy is both unique and comprehensive for wellness. The app has many technical issues , but I’m hopeful these will be worked out over time since the app is still very new. Give it a shot

### 5/5 — Amazing teacher and humble sage

### 5/5 — So helpful🙏

*2025-02-08, version 1.7*

I read Loch’s book a few years ago and when the App first came out i was very happy to try it. I listen to the daily glimpse in the morning after waking and before sleep, they very quickly get me out of identifying with my mind and into spacious awareness. I have noticed such a change in my life, i am becoming more awake and aware generally which helps me to respond with more clarity in my life. I find it easier to notice when my thoughts are starting to spiral and i find myself naturally unhooking and coming back to what is here now.
Thanks Loch and associates for sharing your tools for living a more awake aware life.

### 5/5 — Powerful ancient teachings, made modern and assessable

*2025-01-31*

It’s easy to see the amount of time and effort Loch Kelly has put into the creating of this app
The ancient wisdom teachings have been made completely understandable and accessible to even the beginner and the glimpse practices create immediate spaciousness, and a sense of deep well-being

Lots of other great stuff on the app. Can’t wait to keep exploring!!!
Bravo!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the thoughtful and lovely review, Paigebkelly. We are happy you are enjoying the app!
