### 2/5 — Dark patterns kill the app

This app is brilliantly simple, beautifully designed, and is exactly what I need. But the simple fact that the developers decided to make the "Rate Us" button the most prominent action after a session is completed is a huge annoyance. In the world of design, this is known as a "dark pattern" - it is a visually coercive way to get users to take the action you want them to take by overemphasizing it and deemphasizing the other actions available. In this case, when a session is over, the most natural thing to do is to take a break, NOT rate your app in the App Store. This type of self-serving dark pattern that makes it harder for the user to continue using the app shows a lack of integrity, a lack of understanding how users derive and perceive value (in a way that elicits positive reviews), and makes me want to either find a different app, or build a better one myself.

The music is also very limited in the free version. Not sure if there's more variety in the paid version because I don't want to reward apps that employ unethical UI/UX practices.

Does the job as a Pomodoro timer, meditation, breathing guide. Solid, No extraneous bells and whistles - just what you need.

I really like the idea of being able to mix you o an meditation music. They give you a large variety to start with - My personal favorite being a mix that sounds like a noisy cafe and a mix of the original 3.  It makes for great white noise or something to make you feel like you’re in a different world. I plan on using this for my mental breaks and as focus music for my homework.
