## What is MindLoad?

It is 11pm. The exam is Thursday. You have 60 pages of lecture slides, a syllabus you have not opened since week one, and a highlighter that stopped meaning anything around page 12.

You do not need another app telling you to get organized. You need the studying to already exist.

That is MindLoad.

DROP IT IN. WALK AWAY WITH A STUDY SET.
PDF, lecture slides, a Word doc, a photo of the whiteboard, a link to that reading, a YouTube lecture, even a recording of the class you barely stayed awake through. MindLoad reads it and hands back flashcards, quiz questions and a summary in seconds. Not generic ones. Yours. From your material, in your professor's words.

ASK MINDLOAD ANYTHING
Stuck on one concept at 2am with nobody awake to ask? Your AI tutor already read your notes. Make it explain the thing five different ways until one of them finally clicks.

IT NOTICES WHAT YOU KEEP GETTING WRONG
Miss the same topic three times and MindLoad quietly moves it to your home screen. No guilt trip. No streak lecture. Just the stuff you actually need to look at, sitting there waiting.

A PLAN THAT WORKS BACKWARD FROM YOUR EXAM DATE
Tell it when the test is. It builds the days out for you, so "I should study more" turns into "do these 20 cards today." That is a much easier thing to say yes to.

ULTRA MODE
Binaural beats built for focus. Alpha to settle in, Theta to go deep, Gamma when you need to lock all the way in. Press play, flip the phone over, disappear into it for an hour.

STUDY WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED
Read aloud in a voice that does not sound like a robot from 2009. Flashcards play themselves, hands free. Good for the bus, the gym, the walk to class, and the 40 minutes you swear you do not have.

IT SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE
21 languages, fully translated, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Russian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Polish, Romanian, Malay and Filipino. Import in one language, study in another.

NO SUBSCRIPTION. WE ACTUALLY MEAN IT.
You get 5 free tokens the second you download, plus more just for using the app. Need more? Packs start at $1.99. Your tokens never expire, never renew, and never quietly charge you in July when you are not even in school.

ALSO IN THE BOX
Point your camera at a diagram and get a study set out of it. Import an entire syllabus in one go. Watch your progress in NeuroGraph. Collect achievements. Study offline once a set is made. Dark mode that does not sear your eyeballs at 3am. No ads. Not now, not later.

BUILT FOR
Midterms. Finals. MCAT, LSAT, NCLEX, SAT, ACT and the bar. Nursing school. Med school. Law school. Language classes. Certifications. Grad apps. And that one class you are quietly behind in and have told nobody about.

Here is the thing. You already did the hard part. You showed up, you took the notes, you saved the PDFs somewhere. MindLoad just makes all of that count for something.

Download it. Make one study set. See how much of your night you get back.

REMINDERS THAT KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT YOU

    • Reminders now reflect what the app actually knows. A message built around your streak, your progress or a milestone was being sent even when those numbers did not exist yet, so people were getting "Your Biology streak is at , Sam." A message that cannot be filled in completely is no longer sent.
    • MindLoad stops asking once you are done. Finishing your daily goal clears the rest of today's study reminders. Tomorrow's are left alone.
    • Something finally says well done. About two minutes after a real session, at most once a day, MindLoad tells you what stood out about that session: your streak, your accuracy, a topic you just got on top of, or plain effort. It arrives quietly, with no sound and no vibration, and it follows your Goals and Streaks switch.
    • Every message now fits on a lock screen. A collapsed notification shows roughly two lines and silently cuts the rest, and a third of everything MindLoad sent was being cut off mid sentence, which is where the point usually lives. All 312 messages were rewritten to fit, in English and in the 20 other languages, keeping the voice you chose.
    • Fixed messages that read "6 days DAY STREAK". The streak already carries its own unit.

    ON IPHONE AND IPAD

    • The same notification no longer appears twice while the app is open. A push arriving in the foreground was being shown once by iOS and once again by MindLoad.
    • You hear about all of your study sets, not the same one or two. iOS keeps at most 64 scheduled notifications and silently discards everything after that, and a single study set could claim nearly half of them. Every later set, your daily goal window and the whole coming week of reminders fell off the end. MindLoad now spends that budget across everything you are studying.
    • Reaching your daily goal can no longer clear tomorrow's reminders by mistake.
    • A reminder for a study plan you had just created could be skipped for the rest of the session. It is scheduled properly now.

THE FIRST LAUNCH AFTER AN UPDATE

Every fix here was invisible on a fresh install, which is exactly why it reached you.

    • Opening MindLoad after an update no longer hangs. One step could wait forever and everything else queued behind it, including signing you in.
    • You stay signed in. If startup was slow, the app gave up waiting and sent people who were already signed in back to the login screen, and people who were already verified back through the age gate.
    • Your history survives the upgrade. One database migration was quietly discarding every study plan session and every Ultra Mode session it touched while reporting success, and another failed on every single launch and retried forever.
    • Startup does less work. A set of database statements ran on every launch to do nothing at all, a backup step moved off the launch path, and the app no longer reads an entire database into memory while you wait.
    • Some of these failures were being reported as crashes when they had already been handled. They are not any more.

    UPDATES AND STABILITY

    • MindLoad tells you about a new version properly. Dismissing the prompt used to mean never seeing it again. It now steps back for a few days and returns, shows the real notes for that version, speaks your language, and there is a Check for updates row in Settings for whenever you want to look yourself.
    • Fixed an update prompt that offered you the version you are already running, and one that called it "vbuild 590".
    • Fixed 34 places where leaving a screen while it was still waiting on something could crash the app. Scanning a document or a diagram, importing a syllabus, editing your profile, resetting a password, opening the token store and running an Ultra Mode session are all among them.

    Happy studying!

### 4.7 — 2026-08-29

BULK UPLOAD

You can now add several documents to your Vault at once. Choose as many files as you need, in PDF, TXT, DOCX or PPTX, and MindLoad imports them one after another. You see progress for every file and a summary at the end telling you exactly what made it in and what did not, with a reason for anything that failed. Files are processed one at a time on purpose, so a large textbook cannot stall the queue behind it, and you can cancel partway through without losing the documents that already finished.

IMPORTING FROM ANKI AND QUIZLET

• Quizlet files with definitions that run over several lines now import whole. They used to be torn in half at the first line break.
• Anki decks exported from recent versions of Anki no longer fail with advice that made the problem worse. If a deck cannot be read, MindLoad now names the setting to change.
• Imported cards keep their line breaks, so words no longer run together, and symbols like ampersands and angle brackets display correctly.

YOUR DATA

• Exporting your library and importing it back now works end to end. Study sets that carried a study plan used to vanish from the archive without a word.
• Importing an archive you have imported before updates your sets in place instead of creating a second copy of your whole library.
• When an import cannot proceed, MindLoad tells you why. Every failure used to read "No study sets found in file".
• Deleting your account is safer. If you signed in with a different account at the prompt, the flow could clear data from one account and the login from another. It now stops instead of continuing on the wrong account.

ULTRA MODE

• Quizzes no longer ask every question twice. A ten question set was being served as twenty.
• Going back to change an answer no longer counts it a second time, so your session results add up.
• Your Ultra Mode history belongs to your account. On a shared device a second person signing in could see the first person's sessions, including the questions and the answers. That history is now removed with the account too.
• Rotating a quiz into fullscreen keeps your session timer and audio controls. They now sit in the quiz header where you can reach them.

AROUND THE APP

• Vault search filters properly. Searching a common word used to return every document you own.
• Deleting several documents at once removes all of them, and says honestly if one could not be removed.
• Answer explanations now show the question they belong to, so you keep the context when the dialog covers the screen.
• The processing screen names the document it is working on.
• The credits chip opens your plan and ledger, and holding it opens Buy Credits. Both used to go to the same wrong screen.
• The consent screen shows how many boxes you have ticked, so it is clear when one is still waiting below the fold.
• Birth Year is no longer labelled optional when it is required.
• Fixed a paste box in the import screen that could be cut off with no way to scroll to it.
• MindLoad hands back the memory it holds for images as soon as you leave the app, so it sits lighter in the background.
• Tapping a PDF in Files no longer puts MindLoad forward as the default app for it.

Happy studying!

### 4.6 — 2026-08-21

REMINDERS AND NOTIFICATIONS

• Tapping a notification opens what it points at. If MindLoad was already running in the background, which is how most taps happen, the tap used to do nothing at all.
• Study reminders arrive again. A background refresh kept restarting its own timer every time you opened the app, so for anyone who opens MindLoad more than once an hour it never ran.
• Turning off Study reminders no longer silences your daily goal reminder. Those are separate switches and they finally behave that way.
• Daily goal reminders keep varying instead of settling into one repeated message after a week.
• The follow up reminder scheduled after a quiz now actually arrives.
• Notification settings apply the moment you save them.
• The app badge clears properly. It used to reset when you opened the app and then jump straight back to a stale number on the next notification.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Progress is no longer lost. Finishing a study set fires several progress updates at once and they were overwriting each other.
• Celebrations actually appear. When there was no screen ready to draw on, which is normal while the app is starting, the popup queued itself and waited for a retry that never came. The last achievement of a session was simply never celebrated.
• An achievement you have earned shows as earned, with the right numbers instead of freezing one short of its target.

DEADLINES AND DATES

• Work due today reads as Due today instead of Overdue all day.
• Days remaining counts correctly. Every future deadline was being reported up to a day short, which also threw off the urgency colours.

QUIZZES

• Every answer is recorded, including on questions you move past with Next or a swipe. Skipping one used to silently discard every answer after it, and hand the surviving answers to the wrong questions in your results.

STUDY STREAKS

• The streak freeze now protects your streak instead of clearing it and spending the cooldown for nothing.

IMPORTS

• A document import that fails or stalls now stops cleanly and tells you. It used to leave background work grinding through a file the app had already given up on, and could start a second attempt on top of the first.
• PDF text extraction can no longer hang forever with no way back to the app.

AROUND THE APP

• Deleting study sets sticks. Leaving the screen within a few seconds of deleting used to quietly bring them back.
• The home screen looks alive again. The loading ring and the slow glow on cards and tabs were frozen for everyone not using Reduce Motion.
• The achievements screen scrolls smoothly, and the spotlight at the top rotates through your achievements the way it was meant to.
• Selecting and then deselecting study sets no longer strands you in selection mode.

Happy studying!

We read every review. If something is not working, tap Help and Support in the app. It goes straight to the team.

### 4.5 — 2026-08-03

Hey, we know your semester doesn't slow down — so neither do we.

This update is built around something we kept hearing from you: "I don't have time to rewatch a whole lecture just to find the one part I forgot." So we fixed that.

Turn YouTube videos into study material — instantly

Got a recorded lecture, a review video, or that one YouTube explainer that finally made the concept click? Paste the link into MindLoad and we'll pull the transcript straight in — no re-watching, no scrubbing through a timeline hoping you land on the right minute.

And we made it smarter this update: when you're picking which part of the video to study, MindLoad now says "Find a specific time" instead of confusingly calling it "pages" (videos don't have pages — we know, we felt silly too). Drop in a timestamp like 12:30–18:45 and MindLoad builds flashcards and quiz questions from exactly that section. Perfect for isolating the one topic your professor spent 20 minutes on that's definitely going to be on the exam.

Faster to open, faster to start studying

We went through startup top to bottom and cut out the waiting that didn't need to be there. MindLoad now gets you from tap-to-open to actually studying noticeably quicker — because the three minutes you have between classes shouldn't be spent staring at a loading screen.

Four new looks for your study space

Sometimes the right vibe makes all the difference. This update adds four new themes:
• Solstice Dawn — warm sunrise energy for early study sessions
• Orchid Reverie — soft lavender calm for deep-focus nights
• Bioluminous Abyss — deep-sea glow for late-night grinding
• Obsidian Aurum — sleek black-and-gold for when you mean business

Find them in Settings → Themes.

Under the hood

We also fixed an issue that could occasionally affect how token purchases were credited to your account — checkouts are now more reliable, so what you pay for is exactly what you get, every time.

That's it for this one. Thanks for studying with us, thanks for telling us what's annoying so we can fix it, and good luck with whatever's due this week. You've got this.

### 4.1 — 2026-07-29

Listen instead of reading.
MindLoad can now read your flashcards and summaries out loud. Start a deck, put your phone down, and let it run: question, answer, and the flip between them, timed the way you like. There is an optional premium voice you can download once in Settings, and it genuinely sounds like a person rather than a robot.

A much better way to build a study set.
Creating a set now shows you what you are actually covering. A coverage meter tracks how much of your material made it in, topics are tagged New or Review, and a weak spots rail puts the things you keep getting wrong right in front of you. Mute the topics you do not need, see what a session is likely to yield before you commit, and save your usual settings as a preset.

Big PDFs finally behave.
If you picked a wide range of pages, some of them used to quietly go missing before anything was generated. Every page you select now makes it through. Chapters resolve properly, and importing from Quizlet or pasted text no longer bleeds content between fields.

A fresh coat of paint.
The vibrant design system is now rolled out across the app, with a redesigned ASK page, a new sign in screen, and animated charts in NeuroGraph and quiz analysis. Screens ease in rather than pop, and loading states show skeletons instead of empty space.

Notifications that respect you.
Daily reminders vary instead of repeating the same line, deadline and milestone reminders arrive in the morning rather than at midnight, and the notification toggle now stays off when you turn it off. Three a day is the new default.

Study plans stay put.
Duplicate plans are gone, possible duplicates are surfaced for you to review, and a startup cleanup bug that could delete every plan you had is fixed. Reminders schedule reliably.

Clearer, fairer tokens.
Only "Everything" costs two tokens now. Every other generation costs one. Behind that sits a full audit of the token system: your welcome bonus lands reliably, retries can no longer overcharge you, and your balance survives a bad connection.

Under the hood.
Search ranking is fixed and the index repairs itself if it breaks. The app recovers from database corruption instead of getting stuck. Fonts are bundled, so MindLoad works on locked down networks. Web links import correctly even if you leave off the https, titles work in every language we support, and we closed an age verification bypass and tightened our security rules.
