### 4/5 — It’s almost everything you need

*2026-06-14*

Planning for Chicago I noticed that it was such a huge relief planning but
they are some Chicago things that weren’t there
like Garden Of Collective and Dama Productions
who both have very popping events but are not known to a fresh traveler who’s never been to Chicago

### 3/5 — No Cruise option, Buggy and delays

*2026-03-27*

I wanted to use this to help choose some fun things to do for our upcoming cruise but it doesn’t have options for a cruise when you initially add a trip. It only allows you to put in one destination.
From the start when it initiated a chat it took forever to generate anything and then said it failed. I had to close and restart the app and then the response was there. This happened twice.

I finally figured out how to add different ports through the itinerary but then when I was adding ideas to each days port it again bugged out. I added a port and went to search and added Tortula and when I clicked the filter “things to do” it again bugged out and refreshed back to the main list with no filter. I had to again restart the app to get it to work.

Plus each time I went to add more things to the itinerary I had to start the search over and re enter the location which was frustrating.

Additionally when adding an item to the itinerary you can only view the ratings, photo and title of the item. You can’t click it to view more

The premise is good but this app needs work.

*note. I was on my home WiFi and have an iPhone 16 ProMax 1TB so these issues did not stem from my phone.

### 2/5 — Screen goes blank

*2026-03-22, version 12.1*

In the midst of typing sometimes the text disappears and all I can do is close the chat and lose everything I’ve written. It’s annoying

### 4/5 — Some good, some not so

*2026-02-28, version 11.0*

Reminds me of inspirock. This has similar features, plan and calendars, receipts processing.

Issues:
- created duplicate records of stay, when I uploaded receipts. I had added stay using the web interface, then added a receipt. It ended up showing the same booking twice on the calendar.
- if I book an open ended ticket/ voucher for an attraction and upload the receipt, it goes into unassigned. But when I try the option assign to trip, it doesn’t work. It stays unassigned.I have already marked on calendar when I plan to go, this is supposed to be just a link with the receipt, so that when I visit and click on attraction, I can access the receipt

There is no way to view the receipt uploaded. A simple card view with voucher code, pin, QR code or booking details from the receipt processed would be nice to have. With option to view original. This will make the receipt uploaded more useful. Not just for planning, but for actual travel.

The calendar is nice, but I found it difficult to adjust the duration or start. It doesn’t allow manual editing, and drag drop limits to 30 minute markers.

Would also be great to have option to get discounts on attractions.

Overall good app.

### 2/5 — Great for planning, not great for using on your trip

*2025-10-23*

Planned my 2 week trip to Japan in Mindtrip. The planning experience was pretty good, but the mobile experience during the trip is awful.

Laggy and slow. Super frustrating to find items within the itinerary on a specific day.

It would benefit a lot from some sort of “Today” view. A page that appears during a trip that shows you today’s itinerary at a glance.

### 3/5 — Great UI, pretty buggy

*2025-10-14, version 5.1*

I had been using Wanderlog to plan an upcoming trip, but got frustrated by its clunky UI and slow performance in map view.

Mindtrip has been almost great so far, but it has a lot of bugs that get in the way of planning complex itineraries.

### 3/5 — Fun, but I Need Action

*2025-10-10, version 5.1*

Hard 3.49. It’s fun, but clunky when I try to make the actual plan.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2025-09-23, version 4.0*

I love that this app will make suggestions based on my travel persona. It feels conversational

### 4/5 — So so

*2025-07-28, version 1.2*

I send receipts of bookings but they never show up in the app so I can add them to a trip.

### 5/5 — A must have travel app

*2025-07-20*

Been using this app for the past couple of weeks locally and for out of town trips. Super efficient and easy to navigate. Makes my trip planning go smoother and stress-free. Highly recommended!!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-07-08*

I haven’t tried this on a vacation yet, but have looked at it locally. I discovered some new places to take my kids and new restaurants that I had no idea existed and are within 15 minutes of my home. Definitely going to be using this app often. It runs smoothly and the recommendations are on point.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lost all of the plan

*2026-07-07*

When I went away from the application and clicked on something else, it didn’t have my plan saved. When I tried to go back into the chat, which is what I was using to plan, it didn’t have any of our past conversations. I wasted so many hours with this app. And now I’m supposed to start over. Furthermore when we were going through the chat, it was asking ridiculous levels of detail.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing

*2026-07-03, version 16*

It’s a great tool to help you plan trips but the app keeps crashing after I type something. I wanted to use the website instead on my phone but it keeps forcing me to use the app so I had to delete it

### 1/5 — Provides Misinformation

*2026-05-26, version 14*

It keeps giving Southwest as the cheapest option because of free checked bags and that policy changed in April 2026. Southwest no longer provides free checked bags and even if you correct the AI, it still doesn’t listen.

### 1/5 — Why do I have to sign in EVERY TIME

*2026-04-29, version 13.1*

I don’t think the developers took into account actual use case scenarios. There is no reason for my login to expire and I certainly should be able to override it.

### 1/5 — no focus

*2026-04-15, version 13*

i can smell vibe code from first page

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-01-07, version 9.0*

Downloaded app, asked for advice upon prompt 4 different times, restarted the app twice, tried cellular data and WiFi, no response…

### 1/5 — Not worth your time

*2025-09-15, version 4.0*

Clearly this app directs you to paid advertising.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly. Will be deleting

*2025-09-11, version 4.0*

Couldn’t add receipts for booked accommodation. I kept trying to select a budget level but it kept switching back to flexible budget. Just awful.

### 1/5 — Useless. Tested and Deleted

*2025-08-20, version 2.0*

Learned of this app via a NYTimes article. Very general advice. When you ask for specifics, esp dates for events, it fails

### 1/5 — Pretty disappointing actually

*2025-06-25, version 1.0*

I was surprised at how easy it was to get this thing to confidently make mistakes. Can’t see myself trusting it to help plan a trip because it gave me so many weird results.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Mindtrip

*2026-08-05*

Depuis que je t’ai installé cette appli, elle est devenue incontournable et indispensable pour tous mes voyages.
À essayer et à adopter absolument

### 5/5 — Rustic Elegance

*2026-06-27*

The first time I entered this charming shop was 20years ago.
It captivated me with my first step inside the door. It still captivates me! The merchandise is wide and varied. The exact
Opposite of a T-Shirt shop, no cheesy expensive jewelry , no keychains, nothing monogrammed hats if any sort.
Just pure elegance you can count on every time you visit. The furniture shop section is upstairs and provides interesting selections that would make a home decorator’s
Eyes sparkle! This
Is the first place to go for unique items. OC here i come with a bit of Northwest Elegant Contemporary.

### 5/5 — Insane value

*2026-06-03*

Usually an app with half of this ability is behind a paywall. This is completely free and does an insane amount of work

### 5/5 — Amazing app!

*2026-05-30, version 14*

Exactly what you would want from an AI app for travel.

### 5/5 — I’m not a techie!

*2026-03-31, version 12.1*

Amazing app and easy to use!!

### 5/5 — Happy

### 5/5 — So much fun

*2026-03-28*

I love travel planning. This app combines everything I could ever need maps history, suggestions and most importantly all of my important addresses dates and times. I’m having so much fun. Can’t wait to see how my first trip with the app works out.

### 5/5 — Great and useful information

*2026-02-17*

Quick and relevant data

### 5/5 — Amazing app and Idea

*2025-09-28, version 4.0*

The app and the idea behind this is amazing. I would suggest reaching out to the venture investors to get funding in order to do more R&D you guys sitting on a goldmine here.

### 5/5 — Magical & Speechless

*2025-09-26*

One travel application to rule them all, and I’ve tried them all. Hard to believe this company is still in its infancy. UX/UI is absolutely brilliant, simple and sleek, perfectly balanced to accommodate local getaways, weekend retreats, daily planning, or an extensive vacation. Every family should be using this to plan weekends and vacations with ease and comfort. Such an incredible blend of local planning for everyday use and travel planning for longer destinations. Tons of customization and flexibility without complexity, it’s so easy to use. AI is not overpowering allowing you to prompt and curate anything your heart desires with the ability to keep your chats unique and ongoing per trip. Easy navigation between chat interface and other functionality, as simple as this might seem, I can’t imagine the amount of talent and thought that went into designing the user experience. I hope they eventually introduce a world map that allows you to visualize your destinations near and far. The business model is sheer genius, empowering creators, everyday people, and travel enthusiasts alike. It’s been a while since I’ve been this enthusiastic about a companies potential, this founder and all-star team hands down nailed it. I truly hope this group of talented technological travel lovers stay together for the long haul, because they have built something that feels magical. Hopefully Apple recognizes this level of genius quickly and awards them accordingly. I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to send my gratitude. Congratulations Mindtrip, you’ve have officially tripped my mind!
