## What is MineChat for Minecraft?

MineChat connects to a Minecraft: Java Edition server just like the game does, so you can keep up with your server from your phone, with no PC running in the background.

FREE
• Full chat: read and send messages in the server's own colors and formatting
• The player list, scoreboard and boss bars, exactly as the server sends them
• Move your character: joystick, look around, sneak, jump, interact
• Live player count and ping before you join
• One saved character and one saved server
• Contains ads

PRO (SUBSCRIPTION)
• As many characters and servers as you like
• Inventory: armor, both hands and the hotbar, with real item textures, enchantments and durability
• A live 2D map of the world around you
• Auto-login, plus unlimited commands sent when you connect
• Custom hotkeys for the commands you type most
• Anti-AFK auto-move while the app is open, so an idle session isn't disconnected
• No ads

STAYING CONNECTED
On iOS 26 and later, turn on "Stay connected in the background" in Settings and iOS can keep your session running with the screen locked, with a card on the Lock Screen. iOS decides how long that lasts and can end it at any time. On earlier versions, a session runs while the app is open: turn on "Keep the screen on" and MineChat stays connected for as long as it's in front. When a session ends, it ends cleanly, and opening the app again reconnects you right where you left off.

The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy. The subscription renews automatically, and you can cancel it at any time in your Apple account settings.

VERSIONS
Java Edition 1.21.5 through 26.3. You choose the version for each server.

PRIVACY
Your characters, servers and chat logs stay on your device. MineChat connects straight to the servers you enter, and nothing is relayed through us.

MineChat is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.46 — 2026-10-05

Opening the app checks your servers straight away again; it no longer takes a pull to refresh.

When you hold a map, the chat shows only that map, not the ones lying around you.
The sidebar and the player list no longer stay empty after joining a busy server.

### 1.1.44 — 2026-10-02

Minecraft 26.3 is now supported.

When you add a server, MineChat checks it straight away. It also checks the address as soon as you've typed it, so a typo shows up before you save.

### 1.1.39 — 2026-09-30

New: home screen and Lock Screen widgets (iOS 17 and later). Add one to see a saved server's players and ping at a glance, and tap it to refresh.

New: optional usage statistics. MineChat asks once, after your first session, whether you want to share which screens you use and whether connecting worked, so we can see what to fix. It is off unless you agree, never includes your username, chat or the servers you join, and can be changed any time in Settings.

### 1.1.35 — 2026-09-29

No release notes.
