## What is Minesweeper?

The classic mine-clearing puzzle you remember, rebuilt for iPhone: raised gray squares, red digital counters and the smiley face that reacts to every move. No ads.

NEW: THE DAILY BOARD
One board a day, the same for everyone. Beat the clock on the daily leaderboard and keep your streak going.

HOW TO PLAY
Each number tells you how many of the eight squares around it hide a mine. Use logic to find the safe squares and flag the rest.

• Beginner, Intermediate and Expert boards
• Safe first tap: on these boards your first square is never a mine (the Daily Board starts with an open area instead)
• Chording: tap a number whose mines are all flagged to open the rest of its neighbours at once
• Tap to reveal, touch and hold to flag, pinch to zoom on big boards
• Statistics: best times, win rate and winning streaks
• Game Center leaderboards, achievements and challenges with friends
• An optional daily reminder, plus sound and haptics you can switch off
• VoiceOver support, and darker numbers when Increase Contrast is on

No ads. No accounts. No tracking. Your games and statistics stay on your phone; Game Center is optional.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.10 — 2026-10-25

New: share your Daily Board result with friends (the day, your time and your streak, without giving the board away). New: after the Daily Board, see where you placed among everyone who played today (for example "You're #12 of 340 today"), and tap it to open today's leaderboard. Minesweeper now speaks your language: the whole game is translated into 20 languages. New: the Daily Board. The same board for everyone each day, one try only, with its own Game Center leaderboard. Finish it every day to build a streak; after your first one, turning on a daily reminder takes one tap. Chording: tap an open number whose mines are all flagged to uncover the rest of its neighbours. Your wins are celebrated with a new best time or your winning streak. With Increase Contrast on, the numbers are darker, and VoiceOver's two-finger double-tap tells you the mines left and the time.

### 1.9 — 2026-10-23

Minesweeper now speaks your language: the whole game is translated into 20 languages. New: the Daily Board. The same board for everyone each day, one try only, with its own Game Center leaderboard. Finish it every day to build a streak; after your first one, turning on a daily reminder takes one tap. Chording: tap an open number whose mines are all flagged to uncover the rest of its neighbours. Your wins are celebrated with a new best time or your winning streak. With Increase Contrast on, the numbers are darker, and VoiceOver's two-finger double-tap tells you the mines left and the time.

### 1.8 — 2026-10-18

New: the Daily Board. The same board for everyone each day, one try only, with its own Game Center leaderboard. Finish it every day to build a streak, and get an optional reminder. Chording: tap an open number whose mines are all flagged to uncover the rest of its neighbours. Your wins are celebrated with a new best time or your winning streak. With Increase Contrast on, the numbers are darker and easier to read, and VoiceOver's two-finger double-tap tells you the mines left and the time.

### 1.7 — 2026-10-17

The clock now stops while Settings is open, so reading the rules or checking your statistics mid-game costs no time. VoiceOver improvements: flagged squares offer "Remove Flag", and the mine counter reads correctly. With Reduce Motion on, the board no longer animates when a game ends.

### 1.6 — 2026-10-14

Enjoying Minesweeper? After a few wins the game may ask once whether you'd like to rate it, never after a loss or in the middle of a game. You can also rate it any time from Settings.
