### 2/5 — horrible cash grab

*2026-06-20, version 2025.05.15*

the game lets you have only TWO round to play for free then you need to pay for more. The app store has free minesweeper games that are customizable too, I would recommend playing those instead!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Smh

*2026-08-16, version 2025.05.15*

Can’t believe you have to pay to play fricken minesweeper

### 1/5 — Not a free game

*2026-05-29, version 2025.05.15*

They allow 2 free games before they lock the app behind a paywall. It says $2.99 for the purchase, but the “cancel anytime” implies it’s not a one of payment but a subscription service. I didn’t hang around to find out

### 1/5 — why would you make minesweeper paid?

*2026-05-22, version 2025.05.15*

as a developer myself (not on apple platform) making a minesweeper game is like a weekend project for newbies. and its mind blowing that every minesweeper game on apple store either bombards you with ads or has a pay wall like this one. it motivates me to make my own app and just make it free and adless forever.

### 1/5 — Dont buy or play from this game company

*2026-04-28, version 2025.05.15*

Only gives us 2 free games theyre greedy and you can play from a better company

### 1/5 — Money Hungry and slow

*2026-03-16, version 2025.05.15*

I played two minesweeper rounds and now they want my money and I am disappointed

### 1/5 — Absolutely horrible

*2026-02-04, version 2025.05.15*

Lost a few times(I’m still learning Minesweeper) and then it told me I was out of free games?? I’d rather play anthroheat vr on an overripe tangerine

### 1/5 — Just make the game cost money outright

*2026-01-06, version 2025.05.15*

When i download a game i want to play a game but instead wants me to buy the game after 2 plays. It’s like selling a car with no engine and say it still works wonders. Absolute rip off

### 1/5 — Pay 2 Win, Literally

*2026-01-03, version 2025.05.15*

You get 2 free play throughs and then u gotta pay a subscription to continue playing. This is false advertisement at it’s finest, says it’s free and has no ads but it has ads, and u have to pay to play and to make the ads stop.

### 1/5 — its a paid app, not free.

*2025-12-28, version 2025.05.15*

you get like two free games and thats it. if you happen to get unlucky during one of your two free games, and only ever get singular numbers with no extra context, its literally a guessing game and then you have to pay. yeah sure its only $2 but i don’t want to pay for a game that was advertised to me as being free with no ads. ill just get a different one, who knows how else ill be deceived by this app. id rather be told its $2 up front rather than get lied to.

### 1/5 — has ads

*2025-12-15, version 2025.05.15*

says it has no ads but it lowkenuinely does

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Clean interface. No adds. No data collection.

*2025-04-08, version 2025.02.26*

Paying a couple of bucks is cheaper than buying an actual board game and for simple games like this it should be a low risk purchase.

Usually these apps offset the savings by needless data collection or costly add-is. Not this app.

It has a clean interface with no ads and the app works.

Thank you.

### 5/5 — Good

*2023-03-07*

스플릿뷰 지원돼서 좋음 근데 숫자 눌려서 근처 칸들 여는 기능 추가해줬으면 좋을듯

### 5/5 — Great!

*2020-03-18, version 1.3.1*

Fixed and running smooth. A cure for my nostalgia. Nicely done!

### 4/5 — Pretty close to the original PC preload we all played in the 90’s

*2026-06-02, version 2025.05.15*

I looked around for a game that recreates the 90’s Minesweeper and like that it doesn’t have advertisements and only costs 2 or 3 dollars. You can vary the grid size and difficulty easily. It may not be an exact facsimile of the original but it’s the best I found anyways. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the mechanics of switching back and forth between flag and clear is tedious (it uses the same button and it’s easy to mess up if you’re going fast, which for me is half the fun.) Still worth it!

### 4/5 — stop gatekeeping my guy give us free plays

*2026-01-16, version 2025.05.15*

The app was great on my laptop but sucked on my phone. You get unlimited plays on your macbook but only 2 free plays on your phone.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2025-12-07, version 2025.05.15*

Just needs a timer or a stopwatch to see how quick you can beat it

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2023-07-27, version 1.5*

Needs an "Extra Hard" difficulty option

### 3/5 — Ads and Limits

*2026-07-10, version 2025.05.15*

I was looking for a Minesweeper that was retro and ad free and found this one that says no ads. After installing, the first thing it told me was that I had a one time offer for 1/2 off the price. The second thing was after two games, I wasn’t able to play anymore. It was off my phone almost as fast as it was on my phone.

### 3/5 — Good but annoying

*2025-04-16, version 2025.02.26*

This app is good and cheap but it is frustrating that you get one safe play at the beginning, which is usually only one square, and then anything can happen. I end up hitting a mine on the second play instead. It would be mych less frustrating if the first play was a more significant reveal so the second play isn’t still just completely random chance. This could even just be an optional setting if there are people who like it as is.

### 2/5 — Not Free. No one tap reset/new game button

*2026-06-29*

Multiple taps required to start a new game. Also, it’s a paid app, not worth the money.
