I’ve tried to set schedules for different devices and it takes forever to load and sometimes never does. It’s a complete waste of time to try and utilize this app and do anything. I’ve called customer service and mentioned it and they are fully aware of it and have yet to do anything about it. 👎👎 ### 1/5 — Horrid *2021-12-29, version 2.0.7* Downloaded the app and instantly my internet crashed and I cannot use my game system. DONT USE THIS APP! Feels like a gerbil wheel! Trash ### 1/5 — Garbage app *2021-11-27, version 2.0.6* Complete trash!!! I downloaded the app with a brand new Motorola modem and router, signed up, did all the steps and the modem won’t connect to the app. I have tried many, many times. There is no workaround, no option to enter info manually, and the only customer support available is an email. After searching online we called customer support and have been on the phone for over 30 min with no answer. Furthermore, we found out the app collects all personal and internet information to use and sell. ### 1/5 — Not impressed or happy *2021-10-30, version 2.0.6* I tried to set up a Motorola modem router that is Minim enabled and the app wouldn’t recognize it, despite several tries. The only support offered is email. Not helpful. One nice improvement would be a list of devices on the WiFi, with a simple toggle to turn off or on service with that device instead of having to open each device one by one and controlling internet connectivity. ### 1/5 — this app collects your all your internet activity. *2021-08-19, version 2.0.6* I downloaded this app with my new modem/wifi router to manage the internet as per the setup guide, after signing up, setting up and reading more into what this app does, I discovered after reading their "privacy policy" that they collect and process all your personal information, and all internet activity for the purpose of retaining and selling your info.. I think an app used as a "modem setup utility" shouldn't be monitoring, collecting and selling what your doing online to make money off you.. ask yourself, why does a setup utility need access to your entire internet history? why does a setup utility need to collect anything about you? it's this type of behavior that is dishonest, and has no place being disguised as a "setup utility" instead it's another avenue for this company to make money and profit off you instead of just being a straight forward utility application.. even worse they can't be upfront from about what their doing from the moment you sign up, at least give users an opt out option upon creating an account.. ### 1/5 — Garbage dont download *2021-05-20* After a couple days stops working and locks you out of your account then when you cant stop it the limits are on forever and your wifi crashes non stop when you use it ### 1/5 — Terrible *2021-04-21, version 2.0.6* The app would not let me log in. All it had was create account but every time I did it say account already created. That’s if I could find the invisible log in button. So I would hit the only other button available and it would send me back to the create account screen. Then the killer: Uh oh, can't find device, try again. Are you freakin' kidding me? I'm 6' away from it! I "tried again" like 100 times. No go. NO additional menus available on-screen, just the stupid "try again" & "Uh oh", NO back buttons, NO ability to manually enter info, NO troubleshooting. & Without any options to do anything else, I quit. Done. Stupid app. Needs work. Or at least some options. Sheesh. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t get support *2026-06-29, version 2.0.9* I need to reset my password. In order to do that I need to receive an email to reset it. I’m not receiving the email, therefore I can’t reset my password. I called, emailed minim, and no answer to my phone calls. I received a notification about my email, that they didn’t go through. How can a company hold my account and features to my modem hostage. Motorola isn’t doing anything about it either. This is crazy. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2024-02-23, version 2.0.9* This is seriously a joke of an app. My internet keeps going down, ISP looks fine, but router keeps being booted off and Minim support is 100% nonexistent. They should all be ashamed of themselves for this ridiculous offering. ### 1/5 — I got hacked when setting up router *2024-02-18* App does not properly reflect if router is offline or connected. It currently shows i have devices connected when router is unplugged. Networks were added to my router without my knowledge. I could not figure out how to delete them on the app. It shows i used over 100g of data in about 5 hours. How could that be i only had two devices connected and was merely researching how to update settings. Speedtest is a joke. And security is right there with Speedtest another joke. It has been down for 2 days now and there is no information out there about what’s happening. My iPhone is also fine and I’m using it to write this review. I am writing this review while on my network. Yet for weeks now, the Minim app is stuck on one screen and says “You are offline. Try again”. Of course, when you hit try again, it just comes back to the same page. I’m going to repeat myself. I am currently online and yet the Minim app says I am off-line and it is stuck on one page. I would love to delete the app, but God only knows how that would screw up my router, since it was very difficult to set the router up with the app in the first place. And the only reason I used Minim was because there was paperwork in the box of the router telling me that’s what I had to do.Now I see that there’s a different app. A Motorola app of some sort so I guess I’ll have to try that fiasco. Yes, I have rebooted my phone several times, and I even rebooted my router, and the Minim app is still dead as a doornail. Why don’t I contact the developer, you say? Well, the link to the developer on this page is dead. It leads to a dead page. The developer seems to have abandoned the app. ### 1/5 — Out of business? *2023-11-04, version 2.0.9* App stopped working 11/3/2023 for me. All of their apps no longer work amid rumors of Bankruptcy after laying off all but 9 employees. Good luck, I’m going to dropkick my Motorola router into the dumpster. Nothing happens. If I could do no stars I would.
